How to Skip the Startup Splash Screens:
---------------------------------------

A brief rundown on how to skip the unskippable Splash screens on loading the game.

Instead of having those 5 splash screens on screen for about 10 seconds each, 
instead it goes straight to the Enter game screen, far preferable in my opinion.

-=How-To=-
Right click on your Maneater game and click "Browse Local Files".

In there, you want to go to:

../Maneater/Maneater/Content/Movies/

And in there, delete these files:

DeepSilver_1080.mp4
DeepSilver_1088.mp4
MIG_Logo_1080.mp4
MIG_Logo_1088.mp4
MW_Logos_1080.mp4
MW_Logos_1088.mp4
TWI_Logo_1080.mp4
TWI_Logo_1088.mp4
UE4_Logo_1080.mp4
UE4_Logo_1088.mp4

Now when starting up, you'll go straight to the Enter Game Screen to 
play the game.




Some Tips on How to Escape the Shark Hunters:

-=Starters Section=-
Where do I begin? First ya need to Spawn the Hunters, To do so, Kill at least 
5 humans and they should show up, Then swim as far down as ya can (Note you 
will need the Gulf unlocked first) once they show up get as far away as you 
can, Make sure your also Knifing if you attempt this it might not work, Then 
look for a Boat, Swim up to the boat, Staying close to non-hunter boats gives 
you plenty of chances to destroy those boats
 

-=Advanced (That One really hard part)=-
I recommend that ya use the Shadow tail as it helps you at long Range, Next 
make sure use the Sonar to make sure the Shark Hunters can not Reach you! 
Because eating Humans fills your Hunter bar up the Hunters won’t exit Search 
Mode, Make sure to check the Bar in the Top right Corner, If its empty then 
they’ll Stop looking for you, Which you don’t want in this Case



Transfer Epic Games Store save to Steam:

If you want to carry over your over your save from EGS, this guide will help 
you do so. The inverse of this guide is also true, and your Steam save can be 
transferred to the Epic Games Store, if you want.

-=Finding your Epic Games Store saves=-
1.Open Run from the Start Menu.
2.Copy and paste this path:
  %LOCALAPPDATA%\Maneater\Saved\SaveGames\
3.Click 'OK' to open the directory.

There should be files here. If there are none, then you no longer have your 
local saves from the EGS version of the game.

-=Sorting your saves=_
When you arrive at the Maneater directory, this is a shared directory for
Epic Games Store and Steam.

The four files you want from the Epic Games Store files look like this:
__PROFILE.sav
__PROFILE_backup.sav
_maneater_save_0.sav
_maneater_save_0_backup.sav

If you purposely or accidentally started the Steam version of the game, a 
profile will be created here. So you'll see additional files that look like this:

_#################_PROFILE.sav
_#################_PROFILE_backup.sav
_#################_maneater_save_0.sav
_#################_maneater_save_0_backup.sav

Note: ################# will be an actual string of numbers in your directory.

-=Backup any existing Steam saves=-
Whether you have progress or not, backing up existing data before making changes i
s necessary.

Copy all the files in the SaveGames directory starting with ################# 
should be cut and pasted into a new folder, let's call it "steam_backup" within
this directory.

-=Backup the EGS saves, just in case=-
We're going to be renaming the existing EGS files located here, so let's back 
them up too:

Copy all the files in the SaveGames directory without the ################# 
prefix, and cut and paste them into a new folder within this directory, and 
we'll call this "egs_backup".

-=Rename EGS saves to Steam naming scheme=-
Now there is where it gets slightly tricky. Pay close attention as the 
underline prefix of PROFILE files have two underlines, where as the prefix 
to SAVE files have a single underline.

-=Rename all of the following=-
 __PROFILE.sav
 __PROFILE_backup.sav
 _maneater_save_0.sav
 _maneater_save_0_backup.sav

To the following:
 _#################__PROFILE.sav
 _#################__PROFILE_backup.sav
 _#################_maneater_save_0.sav
 _#################_maneater_save_0_backup.sav

Start the game to confirm transfer is complete

-=Now is the easy part=-
Just start the game as normal, and be sure you see a "Continue" prompt at the 
screen. You can confirm your save is good by going to 'Load' and the save file
will show your progression percentage, hours played, and date last played.

-=Caveat=-
There is one caveat of copying your Epic Games Store save to Steam, which is
actually true of nearly all the games that leave exclusivity: achievements will
not unlock by simply using your EGS save.

You will have to re-earn the achievements by playing a new save game.
