Motor Town: Behind The Wheel
Cheat Codes:

Beginners Tips:
---------------
Driving around gives you driver Level and just with this alone unlocks
sum great opportunity for sum great starting cash and easy levelling up.
The best way too get the good jobs is too explore the map: sum places you
can get up too 1,600 per delivery.
Early game Taxi’s are really good, getting quite often 1,500 after comfort
bonuses.
If you want to do trucking, take the time to learn the map and its roads.
The route the GPS gives you might not always be the shortest, and other
times it might be the shortest in distance, but a different route would
take less time since the GPS route might be steep enough to severely slow
your truck (just sticking to the ring road that circles the island is a very
reliable way to get to your destination quickly since it is almost universally
not steep enough to significantly slow you down).
Furthermore, you absolutely will want to know where you have to go to find
certain services, such as where to buy and modify large trucks, or where to
get certain kinds of cargo. The best way to find those things out (other than
just looking it up), is to explore, so try taking deliveries to all sorts of
places so you can earn money while you explore.
If someone wants to go trucking a lot, it’s smart to think about investing
into your own truck. Pressing tab gives a bunch of info, and pressing “vehicle
info” lists the rate at which the profit is shared. “Borrowing” a bigger truck
doesn’t always means better pay if you have to give away like 50% of the profit.
Investing into your own truck pays of, for those who are planning to a lots of
hauling freights.
How to Make Money (Two Fast Methods):
-------------------------------------
Written by Tommy9er
Two good ways to make some big money fast.
-=Way 1 (Delivery)=-
1.Beginner: If you are somewhat new to the game buy the pickup truck at the
dealership for 20k, If you are brand new just borrow the pickup truck from one
of the warehouse lots. Then hook the truck up to a small trailer also found in
warehouse lots. (you could also rent a flatbed/box truck from GU-JWA but you
will have to be a certain level and pay a small fee every 10 mins which could
be worth it).
Intermediate: If you have been playing for a while you can probably afford the
flatbed truck or the box truck for around 100k (I would recommend upgrading
the engine/radiator on it as well to reduce the time it takes to go up the
mountain).
2.Go to GU-JWA (The toy factory) with whatever vehicle you decided to use and
load up the toy pallets for the 1100 rest area (They should be around 1,800k a
piece).
3.Take the somewhat boring/long journey up the mountain. I usually will afk
sometimes and turn on autopilot because it can get annoying going around the
turns.
4.On your way back I suggest taking some delivery’s with you that are on the same
side of the mountain, and then taking something from a nearby warehouse to the
toy factory if possible (If you’re lucky you might get a delivery from the 1100
rest area back to the same area as the toy factory or to it).
-=Way 2 (Bus)=-
1.Go to the bus depot in GANG-JUNG and take the biggest bus you have unlocked
(preferably the biggest one because it is kinda fast and holds a bunch of people).
2.Select the high school route
3.Do the route (The high school stop will pay up to around 8k if you have a decent
amount of passengers)
4.If you don’t want to pay for gas just leave and rejoin single player and a new
bus will spawn.
The Bushman Bus Breakdown Guide:
--------------------------------
Written by Repulsive Bushman
Inside the guide contains a breakdown of each bus route available. What is the total
pay, how how is the route, what to expect, all the good stuff. This guide was written
after spending many hours doing loops in the largest bus possible like a maniac so
you don’t have to!
-=Intro=-
So, you saw a bus depot. You saw the buses parked there. You thought it would be
interesting to try a route on a bus. You tried a route. Maybe you thought it was fun.
Maybe you thought it was tedious. Maybe you’ll main the busing job. Maybe you’ll drop
it forever and wish it dies in a fire.
I don’t care about that. What I care about, is that split second thought that passes
through when you hop into a bus and see the route selection screen:
-=Which one should I choose?=-
Whatever, tell me the numbers so I can start raking in the dough.
After spending a few hours doing loops like a crazy person, here’s a breakdown of the
various bus routes available:
* West-1 = ~7k; Not much to say but feels too slow for the payout
* Sung-San High School 1 = Up to at least ~15k; The route varies but stays in the upper
amounts for payout(We’re talking an average of around 10k); Seems to give a larger
amount of passengers when starting earlier in the day, had 30 passengers at one point
* Jeju <-> Gang Jung = ~11k; A very consistent route; Going west of Gang Jung, towards
the scrap yard, and taking the dirt road slightly past it is the fastest way, which
guarantees the speed bonus
* Gang Jung Town 1 = ~3k; Very small and basic route, good for new players or just
starting busing with low capacity vehicles
* Seo-Gui-Po Downtown = ~4-6k; Small route, doesn’t need high capacity, is chaotic, but
is fast; Long buses not recommended
* Olle Ring = ~10k; Slow, and ultimately not worth it when compared to the other routes
* Jeju-1 = ~11-12k; It’s a consistent but tedious route with a lot of turns, so need to
be careful when using large buses, and in a high traffic area which can cause chaos
* Airport <-> Military Base = ~11k; A bit slow, a lot of turns, but can be viable with
all buses
-=Wow, thanks! What else?=-
These numbers include Comfort and Urgency bonuses. On top of that, busing fluctuates,
so these numbers are not definitive, but rather, what to expect when doing busing.
Each route had one full lap completed.
Each run on all of these routes were done in a Cheetah, the reeeally long bus with 49
seats, for maximum pain. If I could do it in a Cheetah, you can do it with anything.
You’re welcome. A Cheetah is also not needed for any of these runs, the Air City(The
typical city bus) will do just fine.
Car Detailing 101:
------------------
Written by Scottish Chicken
In this guide I will explain how you can use all the place-able lights to add small
details to your car such as, antennas, exhaust pipes, hood locks and more!
-=The Basics=-
Before you even start to think about detailing, there are a few key things you need to know.
* There is a limit of 10 parts you can place on a car.
* You can rotate parts by holding down right click (RMB) and moving your mouse.
* These parts can become expensive fast, 10 light bars can cost you 30k!
* Light parts do not have collisions so if they hit a wall it will just clip right through.
-=Exhaust Pipes=-
By adding two light bars to the underside of the car you can create the illusion of an
exhaust pipe. You can use either the long or short light bar depending on what size exhaust
you want.
I recommend first trying this on cars with only single exhaust pipes as doing dual exhausts,
as shown in the image below, will be a struggle to get right immediately!
This will cost you anywhere from $2k to $12k + depending on what exhaust style you go for.
-=Antenna=-
This is probably my favourite mod to do as it is so easy and adds so much detail to the car.
To add an antenna to your car you first need to buy a small led light strip and take it over
to where you want to place it on your car. You then must rotate the led light strip so that
it is pointing up and out of the car.
A tip for this mod is to have the side where the led’s be pointing in the direction you will
see it least, this way it won’t break the illusion on an antenna!
This will cost you anywhere from $1k to $2k depending on what length of antenna you want!
-=Hood Locks=-
To put hood locks on a car you must first buy 2 small light bars, after purchasing both
light bars head over to your vehicle where you will need to rotate your light bar in a way
so that only the end of the bar is seen through the hood.
This adds only a small amount of detail however small details is what makes a build come
together!
This will cost you $4k for both light bars in total!
-=Fuel Cap=-
By buying any of the 3 circle lights for sale and rotating it in towards the car you can
create a part that looks like a gas / fuel cap.
This is a cheap modification and can just add that little bit of realism to the cars especially
at car meets or photo-shoots at gas stations!
This will cost you exactly $1k.
-=Quick Tips=-
* Cars like the panther and spider, etc have or can have no roof. This allows you to put
lights or other interior mods inside the car!
* Be patient. You wont always get the position / rotation of the piece you want exactly
right first try
* To eliminate waste, store extra parts in cars with storage areas. For example the kira
flat bed can have 2 storage boxes which are perfect for storing extra lights!
* Do all customisation at either the dealer at seo-gui or gu-jwa in a single-player server
so you have all the tools you need at your disposal whilst having no player interruptions
-=That’s All For Now=-
Now that you’ve learned a few customisation tips I hope you put ’em to good use!
There are hundreds of things you can do with these little lights so go and try some things
like custom diffusers for your cars or innovate and find something I haven’t even thought
of!
