The Cycle
The Cycle: Frontier
Cheat Codes:

How to Get Crafting Materials:
------------------------------
Crafting materials in The Cycle are going to be your main method of creating new
weapons and armor. There are numerous ways to get crafting materials in The Cycle,
but this guide will explain what activities you need to do to get them.
* Collecting them on the Fortuna III map-they are scattered all over the map,
always in the same places.
* Completing contracts during the game-for completed contracts you will receive a
package with a certain amount of crafting materials of a given category. The more
contracts you complete, the more materials you get, and the better quality the
items will be.
* Breaking down unnecessary equipment-weapons can be disassembled by selecting
them from the inventory window and then holding the Scrap button shown on the
screen. This way you can reacquire some of the raw materials invested in creating
it.
How to Make Money / Credits (Playtest):
---------------------------------------
Written by SUMatt
Here is a short and quick guide to moneymaking.
The most easiest route to go is to the abandoned mine to digsite extract repeat.
Do this if you’re really low on money and just want to be in and out quickly.
Its not always safe but if you’re quick you’ll be fine.
White bag, white armour is fine cheap weapon, shotgun or pdw if you want to be
cheap with it will work fine for this. Don’t fight people if you can just shoot
to make them want to heal then run.
-=High Risk, High Reward=-
With this run I normally do the same run as before digsite abandoned mine if i
spawn on the RIGHT side of the map.
Well with run i normally stick only to the outer ring of the jungle, the strat
is to keep 50% stamina as reserve at all times in case you are chased by the
many creatures in jungle. Now just run along the edge, and mine away.
Tips and Tricks for Single Playing:
-----------------------------------
Written by XFusionX
Just going into some basic pointers and make it easy to understand.
1. Solo – in every single game there is meta way to move
The cycle you can bhop, slide then jump, mantle, and run with your knife out.
Wear a tactical helmet – keep a strong regular chest but wear the helmet that
helps your stamina.
Sprint as soon as your stamina is full and make sure you dont gas your stam bar
and always look for cover that you would slide bhop and sprint with your knife out.
2.Get use to your movement drop 100 times and just get experience dying and moving
as fast as you can.
3.Use the skills you learn with step with fighting as solo. You need sneak creep
and when its time to move you need to move time and place is everything.
Here some pvp rules I follow.
If someone looks at you and sprays you down and you have ar or smg don’t spray back
instantly pull your knife. Slide jump any direction to cover and instantly heal or
even return fire from a different angle if they don’t see you ( when you spray
someone with any automatic who seen you at the same time your basically betting
50/50 on the fight.
Running from a fight. Cant tell you how many time i get to 1hp and i run for my
life with my knife out and escape from a sweaty 3man. When your chasing some1 or
being and chased keep in mind when you aim on gun your stam regens really slow.
so someone is really sweaty they will chase you without even aiming when they get
the chance cuhz if they try to aim trace you after they sprint there sprint bar
wont recover normally instead insanely slow.
Get used to throwing grenades & sniping. If your bring in nades use them even if
you don’t kill players. At first you’ll get used to how far they go and will
naturally know when to use them when a player is holding a angle on you or getting
pushed by multiple ppl. Sniping in this game is insanely easy to do even up-close
if you crack someone in chest with sniper or head switch to your secondary to
finish them up-close or even just snipe them 2 times but done forget rule one
with the sniper!
4.Use bushes, trees, cave, and even roofs to hide from people.
Okay a hope this helps a few peeps my last and final advice is read your
attachments some look the same but arnt and the basic smg is the worst weapon in
game i mean worst don’t get mad at it just don’t use it budget kit can hit really
hard especially if your using sniper as secondary.
The Storm Guide:
----------------
Written by Planl0s
The Cycle (The Storm) can be scary when new to the game, but there is nothing
to be afraid of if you come mental prepared.
Further more the storm is really helpful, it respawns loot and monsters everywhere
as long theres no player close by.
Me as a solo-player learned how to use the storm for the hard tasks as an adventage,
for that we need to know some info about the storm first:
* The Storm itself is unpredictable, theres no time set for when a storm will start,
i think there is more of a pause between each storms to prevent them from happening
too frequently.
* 10 minutes before the storm there will be no new prostector drop on the map,
noticable when it starts raining but there is no 5 min countdown timer yet.
* You will get a notification 5 minutes and 1 minute before the storm hits.
* Each storm lasts for 4 min 40 sec.
* As soon the storm ends, new prospectors will drop in again.
* Theres random lightning strikes and every ~10’ish seconds a lightning will strike
your position which will predict where you running.
* Lightning strikes can be dodged and is pretty easy to do so.
* While the storm is active, the EVAC can not be called, you can call it right before
the storm (it still lands) or as soon the storm is over.
-=Now to the fun part=-
* There is plenty of quess in The Cycle: Frontier hard to complete, as example having
to upgrade a data drive in an uplink makes so much noise exposing your position to
the entire map.
* Use the storm to cover this awful noise and to make sure its the lowest player count
on the map as possible (player tend to leave before the storm, because they dont know
its their friend)
* You dont even need to bring an data drive with you, when it starts to rain or you
get the 5 min notification head to the comms tower, loot the building west at comms
tower (there is always 3 to 8 data drives, most of them in the upper floor at the
computers and shelves)
* Run to the north uplink und wait for the storm to start, for me im always there before
the 1 minute notification so i use the time to check around for loot.
(dont use the uplink yet)
* Also maybe try to dodge the striders there and save them for the storm, free charged
spinal bases.
* As soon the storm hits, you can start upgrading your data drives, the storm lasts
long enough to upgrade a tier 1 drive to tier 4, but remember your friend wont stay
forever.
* So upgrade your data drive to the tier you need, as example theres a quest where you
have to stash a tier 3 datadrive at basecamp, by upgrading a tier 1 to tier 3 you
still should have ~1 minute of storm time you can use to safely get to base camp and
stash that data drive.
Note: Be aware, basecamp is an hotspot and there maybe someone seeking shelter from the
storm, so keep an eye out when entering any building or cave.
You can use the storm for all sorts of quests, hunting marauders or even the new howler,
you only have to learn to get comfy within the storm, get a feeling for the timing when
a lightning strikes and how to manage your stamina to not get hit offguard by an lightning
strike or monster.
A flashlight comes in handy when fighting monsters and always remember your “Q”-flashlight
when moving around for less stamina drain.
Having the storm as a friend makes it also easy to obtain any glowy brightcap mushrooms
or charged spinal bases.
Hope you found a way now to complete your quests in peace while still having the fun
annoying others doing theirs.
