use the the keyboard for changing screens:

Change the settings under 'OPTIONS' on the main menu to 'FAST' and 'FULL SCREEN'.
If you want time to go faster, quit the game and increase the time on your computer
by 2 hours. Start the game again and 2 years have gone by. Don't jump more than 2
hours into the future at a time as your villagers may run out of food and starve.
You can then buy technology or get a new project underway and jump 2 years into the
future again and again and.... If you adjust the time on your computer past midnight
be sure to increase the date by 1 as well. Otherwise you will accidentally jump into
the past, which often has grave side effects for the villagers. You can push the
space bar to pause the game before you reset the computer's time back to the correct
time and that will save your villagers.
Click on a project to see what percent completed it is.
Puzzles are not solved in order.
Don't finish building the huts at the beginning of the game.
When you want a baby don't let them walk back to the hut. Keep an eye on the population

taught and when they reach 14 years old they will heal the sick on their own even if
you are not around.
Keep an eye out for mushrooms, especially at the beginning of the game. Only children
can pick up the mushrooms and they may desperately be needed for food in the future.
Pause the game if you will not be playing again for a long time.

Don't put villagers on the blackberry bush for food. Instead drop them on the cutting
tools in the lab (see Puzzle #1 below). This way they will get 30 points for food instead
of just 5 points.
Keep a careful watch for mushrooms and collectibles especially at the beginning of the
game. If you collect more than one of the same item then the child earns tech points.

Master Parent Glitch:
Submitted by: Brittany
If you have an elderly woman, she cannot have kids anymore. But you can take any male and
place him over her continuously. You do not even have to wait for them to "go indoors,"
it will rack up points for parenting skills and you have Master Parents in no time! Does
not work for elderly men, as the women will always have a baby because the men are fertile
no matter what their age.
Double or Triple Gathering:
Submitted by: Brittany
When you place a child to gather an item, first hit the space bar and place the child slightly
on the side but still over the object to be gathered. Then take another child, hover it over
where you will place it (slightly to the other side), hit the space bar and place the child
(Double Gather). You must do this very rapidly or you will lose your chance. If you want to
triple gather, hit the space bar immediately after you place the second child. Then take another
child and hover it below the other children but still over the object, hit the space bar, and
drop the child (Triple Gather). This is even harder to do than a double because if you place
the children too close together, they will go off for a jumping contest an you will lose the
extra gatherings of the object or lose it all entirely.
Increase Population/ Tip for puzzle 3: Soap:
Submitted by: Felisha
When you are trying to make a baby, keep trying without letting them go to the hut until you
see the population increase. To save time, once you see the population increase, just pick up
the girl without letting them go to the hut, she will automatically have a baby in her arms.
Tip for Puzzle 3: Soap:
One of the things for the puzzles here says that to do puzzle 3 you have to have completed
puzzle 7. This is not true. You just need to have started puzzle 7, not completed it.
Once you start puzzle 7 you can start heating rocks right away and putting them into the pot
to make the soap. It makes 3 bars each time.
