Introduction,
	As you know, in Spycraft you become a James Bond type CIA agent.
Your job is to investigate the assassination of the current Russian
president, and the assassination plot against your own. For a fiesta of
full-motion video, Spycraft isn't half that bad; the video quality is
great, the acting is above average, and a good plot pulls it all
together. My tips take you to the game's best ending, but you should
save often and stray from the one true path to see different scenes.
When you're unclear about what to do next, refer to the OPS MGR in the
COMLINK section of your computer. You can also wander around the games
various locations and hope to find some interesting tidbits of
information. But whatever you do, make sure you have fun.

Vague Hints
Part One: Washington

Q. What does the newspaper have to do with anything?

A. The headline is the main plot of the whole story. No need to
memorize or analyze anything. Just keep it in mind.
**********
Q. Why is my Intel-Link light flashing?

A. That means that you have a message. Open it and go to Com-Link and
read the message from Warhurst. Close it and you will be instantly
transported to Langley.
***********
Q. I am at the farm now what am I supposed to do?

A. By chance could there be anything worth noting in Milkovsky's office?
I wonder if he has had any calls lately?
**********
Q. How do I solve the two questions he gives me?

A. You definitely have to get closer to the brown sedan. I wish the
plate was clearer though. Tanks must give off a lot more heat then a
truck don't you think?
**********
Q. What's with the shooting gallery?

A. Those guys seem to be pretty intent on killing you so it might be a
good idea to start shooting back.
**********
Q. How am I supposed to figure out who the assassin is?

A. That JFK tool just appeared on the computer in your office. Now if I
line up the holes........
**********
Q. Mix and what?

A. Bald, arched eyebrows. Hope it can match that up with someone.
**********
Q. How am I supposed to figure out which weapon was used?

A. PINPOINT will give you some info, and if you stare at the bullet
holes long enough something better pop into your head.
**********
Q. The security model gives me a headache...what gives?

A. Read all available info given in the model. Look for things that
stray from the norm. Some people do or don't do certain things.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part Two: Halifax
Q. What can I do here?
A. Listening is virtue.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part Three: Back to Washington

Q. What's with the SHANGHAI II disk?

A. All work and sometimes a little fun. If you know how to play.
**********
Q. What about the book club?

A. Literature never hurts the brain. Downloading is so much faster and
it doesn't cost anything.
**********
Q.  Beowulf?

A. I guess Ying liked it.
**********
Q. What can I use the Cypher tool for?

A. Maybe if you decoded the post-it note it might have some good info.
She would probably use a book that she knows for the Beale codes.
**********
Q. Photo Doc is giving me a headache and aspirin is expensive. Help?

A. I know it is tough but remember, what looks bad to you may be great
looking to government employees.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part Four: Russia
Q. What do I do with Ying?
A. I doubt torture will break her strong will. I think that a convincing
photo and some nice conversation would work great.
**********
Q. Now what?
A. Try giving Yuri a ring.
***********
Q. What do I do with Birdsong?
A. Just say what you think is right.
**********
Q. What do I do when I am with Yuri?
A. Just make conversation and listen
**********
Q.  I have seen the rather gross picture of my bud Parker now what?
A. Maybe someone called while you were out.
**********
Q. Nice origami but what else is there?
A. That filing cabinet might hold some good info. Wonder what the disk
in the nukes folder has on it?
**********
Q. How do I decipher the headings?
A. It is amazing what you can download now-a-days.
**********
Q. I am sitting here twiddling my thumbs. Please give me something to
do.
A. Check your OPS manager. Skodi...even the name sounds fishy.
**********
Q. What do I do with the Foster-Birdsong call?
A. Analyzing can tell you more then who is talking.
**********
Q.  No place has all four sounds that I am looking for.
A. I wonder where else that bird sound could be coming from?
**********
Q. Once again, now what?
A. That John Blake character sounds interesting. Wonder if I can reach
him.
**********
Q. What do I do with the info I get from that lady in the alley?
A. Read it. Remember it. Come back to it.
**********
Q. Birdsongs door is locked and I have a feeling that I have to go in
there. What do I do?
A. What has been in your briefcase since the beginning of the mission?
***********
Q. What am I looking for in here?
A. Go ahead. Just snoop around.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part Five: 007's Hometown

Q. I am at his house. Where is John?

A. What does he scream at you every time you knock on the door?
**********
Q. He left me here all alone.

A. Go ahead. Just snoop around some more.
**********
Q. What do I say to him?

A. Just make conversation.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part Six: Back Home
Q.  What do I do in Holt and Seatons office?
A. More snooping practice.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part Seven:  USSR Bound

Q.  What does Birdsong want?

A. What was plastered all over his apartment?
**********
Q. I am stumped again. Help

A. Try reading some new books.
**********
Q. What do I do with the Travel Tech Data Base?

A. Read up and see if ONYX has any tendencies.
**********
Q. How do I use the CEFT?

A. I think that you could use CEFT and TravelTech together.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part Eight: Germany
Q. How do I get ONYX to talk?
A. Maybe a threat that would hit close to home might work.
**********
Q.  Handcuffs?
A. I doubt you want ONYX running off now do you?
**********
Q. To SHOOT or To TALK?
A. No conflicts. No problem
**********
Q.  What do I say?
A. I am sure there is some sort of password. Now only if you can find
out what it is? or do you already know?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part Nine: Moscow is my home

Q. What's up with the stakeout?

A. Go with her and maybe you will find out.
**********
Q. Great now what do I do?

A. Search the crime scene, pick up evidence and analyze it. What was
that gizmo Milkivich was telling you about at the beginning of the game?
**********
Q. I have used Image Analysis and I know who killed her but how do I
get the address?

A. Didn't I say something about the file cabinet before? Did you look in
both folders?
**********
Q. Harmonica wants to meet me in the alley, what do I do?

A. I think that Max should know. She says stall so stall, but don't give
in.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part Ten:  Jalabad's Pad
Q. How do I use the GPS?
A. Didn't you read the file that you were supposed to?
**********
Q.  Where are the phone lines?
A. I think they would be underground.
**********
Q. How do I get to birdsong?
A. Find what room he is in and send all your men in at once.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part Eleven: The End of a Great Game

Q. The copter dumped me off and I don't know what to do.

A. Shoot all the bad guys and follow the radio signal when they are all
dead.
**********
Q. I hear Blake so should I fire?

A. What are you planning on aiming at?
**********
Q.  Kill him?

A. Your choice
**********
Q. I picked up the laptop he dropped and booted it up. It started a
countdown. What do I do?

A. See if you can download some of the files to your Intel-Link and then
stop and get it out of the copter in time. Aren't you glad that it Auto
saves at this point?
**********
Q. What do I do with the files?

A. Read and Listen to suggestions.
**********
Q. What number do I send the message to?

A. Trial and Error my friend, Trial and Error.
**********
Q. OK, I made it to Red Square and I can't find harmonica.

A. Think of his type of weapon and it's characteristics. Do any of the
names on your screen seem familiar?
**********
Q. I am not quick enough on the draw.

A. Then don't give him time to draw.
**********
Q. OK, made it to Dacha now how do I beat this great game?

A. Follow Yuri in and find out who the mole is. You can't outdraw him
so think of some gadgets that might help out. Maybe a sound hack or
something. Wait for a distraction. Stall.
**********
Q. Do I shoot Yuri?

A. What is your boss telling you?

Walkthrough
Part One: Washington

	You start out reading the local paper in front of the Washington
Monument. Open your Intelink, click on COMLINK, and read the priority
one message from Warhurst. He wants you at Langley. Close the Intelink
and you automatically travel to Langley and are informed of the
situation by DCI Peter Sterling.
	Report to Milkovsky at the Farm and explore his office. Nothing
in here is crucial to the mission, but there are a few interesting
items, including the blue book on the desk and the answering machine(
with two messages you can hear). After Milkovsky has entered and then
left, click on the open door and report to the Image Analysis.
	Examine the TV to learn of the assassination of the Russian
president. Milkovsky shows up and sets you to work. The first puzzle
is simple. Zoom in on the brown sedan at the middle of the screen, near
the bottom, and keep zooming in on the license plate. Click on the OCE
button for a view of the plate number which is 2GGX829. Then report it
to Milkovsky.
	Question two is harder, because not all of the infrared blips are
tanks. Three tanks outside are running and three inside are warming up
so report six running tanks. After Milkovsky's demonstration, report to
the Zone. This segment of the game is naught but a shooting gallery
with dudes instead of ducks. In the first field test, march directly
north across the zone and shoot any dweebs that pop up. In the second
test march directly north to the radio beacon, again shooting anyone you
see. Click on the radio beacon and move in any direction to finish the
test.
	Check your Intelink for a message from Warhurst. Report to DCI
Sterling at Langley to watch a very nasty assassination video and get
the low down on you mission. Check you intelink for messages from Holt
and Seaton. Go to you office and us the KAT on your computer.
	Link up the bullet holes to the left of the podium with the holes
in the podium itself. Rotate to the right to find the point of origin.
Click on the Mix and Match button, and search for the guy in the window.
You quickly come up with a match: Thomas J. Phillips, a.k.a. Harmonica.
Report your discovery and read the three new messages in your Intelink.
	Use Pinpoint on your computer to read about the different
weapons systems. Check the Image Analysis again for a second look at
the bullet holes. Report your findings to the team: the Russian was
killed by a needle-pack-projectile from the Pulse Electric Gun (PEG).
Receive and read the two messages.
	Report to DCI Sterling for info about the PEG. Check your
Intelink for three messages. Return to you office for more fun with
computers. Access the Security Model system and start to examine the
records of the four employees. I'll spoil the fun by telling you that
the guy who let the PEG escape is Darren Cohen.
	Analyze the female voice of the phone call on the 2nd; it's Yin
Chungwang, a former North Korean spy turned freelancer. Trace the
location of the phone call on the 22nd; it's from a residence in
Washington. Examine the entry photo on the 24th; Cohen doesn't usually
use the elevator (his profile reveals that he is claustrophobic) so this
has to be someone else. Use the Mix and Match system to reveal this
impostor as Wayne Allen. File a report that points to Wayne Allen, then
file a second report that implicates Allen and Ying Chungwang, who's
staying at 2314 EE. Rockland St. Receive a message from Warhurst and
another message from an unknown source.
	Go to Halifax and click on the door knocker to meet with Sterling,
Warhurst and William Colby. Check your Intelink and read the four
messages. Return to your office and grab the items on your desk: a
Shanghai II disk (which you can play by using it on the computer), an
EBMC disk, a copy of the book "Beowulf", and issue a report that Ying
Chungwang is in Moscow. View the message from Holt.
	Use the PhotoDoc on your computer and put together a fake photo of
Wayne Allen in custody. Use the middle of the Turkish newspapers and
put it on his left side without scaling it. Use the middle of the
Emperor Filterless cigarette and put it on his right side, scaling it
down. Use the middle face of Grendel on the top row and scale it to
match his body. Looks really bad, I know but your buddies approve it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part Two:  USSR
	Time to head to Moscow and meet with Max Foster.  Check your
Intelink for a message from Holt as you arrive.  After Max has
introduced herself, have a chat with Ying in the interrogation room;
don't move her to the bullpen.  Show her the picture of Grendel right
off the bat, then say "Here's the deal...." "Speak up, or........"
"Grendel's talking, Raven.........." "If you tell the truth..." "What
was your role..." "Who do you work for....""What else can you tell
me..." "Come on, what else..." and "Well, I'm going to go..."
	Check your Intelink for four new messages and talk to Foster in
her office about Yuri and Birdsong.  Check your Intelink again for two
more messages.  Go to Pearson's office and use the telephone.  Hit the
Speaker button to dial out, and call Yuri at 233-4819.  Set up a meeting
with him and leave the Station.  Head for Birdsongs place first.
	You walk up to his door and he lets you in.  Say "You've got to
get...." He waffles and says he can't help you.  Say "I won't ask
you...".  He says he'll consider it.  Yeah, sure.  Go to Yasevno and
talk to Yuri about various topics.  Return to Pearson's office at the
Station and check your Intelink twice for messages. (The Sound Hack is
the most interesting.)  Take the folder off your desk to find a photo of
Parker's very dead body.  Check the messages on your phone to hear from
Yuri and Birdsong.  Check your Intelink for a message from Warhurst
about Parker's assassination and Lange's disappearance.  Not good.
Leave the station and meet Yuri at Vilnius for a message about Birdsong.
Return to Pearson's office and take the origami bird from the table.
Look in the cabinet next to the desk and read about Operation Eagle
Shield and Nukes.  The Nukes folder has a computer disk inside.  Use
your EBMC disk on the computer and download both selections. Now use the
Nukes disk on the computer and read the messages.  Two of the messages
with Gog and Magog as the subject have irregular headers.  View them and
crack them with the Cypher, using The Rabid Hound (under the "Other"
menu selection).  Receive and enjoy two Intelink messages from Holt and
Sterling.
	Go into the OPS MGR and access the ATF archives about Felix Skodi
(SIGINT page).  Use the sound analysis on the computer to break down the
call from Birdsong to Foster.  There are four distinct sounds you can
isolate: a 10-ton church bell, a passenger aircraft, a mountain sparrow
and an electric tram.  Report that Birdsong is hiding in Novosibirsk, at
Nicholas Suvorov's residence.  Foster compliments you via the Intelink
on the good catch.  Now it's time to investigate Procat
	Use your phone to call John Blake at 011-44-171-555-0909 and set
up an meeting.  Check your Intelink for a message from Warhurst.  Leave
the Station and go into the alley to get a file on Yuri from a Hillary
Clinton look-a-like.  Go to Birdsongs house to poke  around.  Examine
the doorknob and use your lockpick to open the door(it's that black
thing in your briefcase).Look around to find a whole lot of clues that
Birdsong wanted to see the Big Sky Country of Montana.  If you go into
Birdsongs house a second time you are followed by Lange.  Shoot him
because he is a traitor.  Get out of there quick before the police come
though.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part Three: Let's Try England
	Travel to London and meet with John Blake in the back of his
residence. You can examine Blake's computer and other items while he's
gone; he won't get mad if he finds you prying around when he returns.
Ask him as many questions as you can. After the meeting, check your
Intelink for a message from Colby. Return to Washington and rifle
through the offices of Holt and Seaton for clues. Seaton's office is
much more interesting, with an e-mail-filled computer that reveals a
past relationship between her and David Holt.
	Go to your Intelink's OPS MGR and click on the Procat link in the
OPS category. Read the large Procat file, and wait for and Intelink
message from Holt. Ask him about Procat and Paw Print. Return to
Moscow and check your Intelink for three messages. Tell Maxine to offer
Birdsong a house in Montana. Go to Pearson's office and access the
computer. Order the newest book from EBMC, "Croak! Goeth the Raven."
Read the Procat and Yuri files in your briefcase.
	 Your next task is to locate Onyx. Go to the CIA's Datalink site
and read the case file on Onyx. Research his file and track him down
through the Travel Tech database. (Remember that he's a fussy eater and
always sits in a first-class aisle seat.) Report to Holt that he's
currently in Heidelberg. Leave the computer and answer the phone. It's
Yuri, who wants to meet. Go to his office to receive a file about Onyx.
Ask him a couple of questions, although he will refuse to answer. Check
your Intelink for two messages. Return to the Onyx case file and use
the CEFT to track him to the Hotel Schlumpen in Heidelberg. Receive a
message from the President himself, followed by Sterling.
	Travel to Germany and to the hotel. Talk to Onyx and threaten to
send the Indian government into Jammu. At the end of your chat, tell
Onyx to freeze while you look around. Go into the closet, take the
handcuffs and use them on Onyx. Go to the meeting at the Scharfenstahl
and choose the Talk option. Give the password "French Vanilla" and you
walk away with the pit in your hands. Check your Intelink for messages
of congratulations. Return to Pearson's office and answer a call from
Harmonica. Answer the Intelink for a message from Foster. When you get
to the crime scene and see the body, pick up the camcorder and leave.
Take the video camera off your desk and snatch the chip inside. Use the
chip on your computer to analyze the video of Birdsong's capture. Import
the final frame of the video into the Image Analysis to see that Rajiv
Jalabad was the killer. Look at Pearson's file in the CIA Datalink
files to find Rajiv Jalabad's address. Report that Jalabad was the
killer, and that he's at the No. 19 Leningradsky Prospekt. Receive a
message from Warhurst.
	Read the files on the Badman interface. Leave the Station and
tell Max that Harmonica wants to meet in the alley. Meet him there and
say, "What do you want...." "And now..." "Finger me for the mole..."
""So what do I need..." "Join Procat......" and, "No thanks-I'd rather
die than join Procat." Harmonica gets away just before Foster and the
gang arrive.
	Go to Kneecaps' residence (be sure to save) and press the GPS
button in the truck to start the operation. Immediately walk up the
stairs to the second floor. Birdsong is in the higher of the two small
rooms on the north side of the building. Demolish the south wall of the
eastern room, then walk into Birdsong's room to automatically remove
him.
	Return to Pearson's office and check your Intelink for a message
from Holt, who gives you two new Beale codes. Decipher the messages
with the third book from the EBMC, "Croak! Goeth the Raven." Holt sends
you a message that the coordinates you decrypted are in Tunisia. Leave
the office and head for Tunisia. Leave the office and head for Tunisia.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part Four: The Beginning of the End
	Hop into the chopper and you're dumped off at the rendezvous
point.  Hey, it's that ridiculously simple shooting sequence  from the
beginning of the game!  Walk around and shoot each bad guy as he pops
out to shoot you.  Go to the middle of the zone and you're confronted by
John Blake.   Drop your gun and   wait for Blake to try to shoot you.
His gun malfunctions and he goes for his knife.  Grab your gun, but
don't shoot Blake.  Let him drop his computer on the ground and run
away.  Take the backpack and check your Intelink for a message from
Sterling.  Close the PDA and get back on the chopper.  The game
automatically saves.  You think maybe something potentially fatal is
about to happen?
	Turn around and take the computer out of the backpack.  Boot it up
and you trigger a self-destruct sequence.  Quickly use your Intelink on
the computer and start to download files.  The meter stops at the 35%
mark.  Quickly cancel the download and chuck the computer out the copter
door before it blows up.  Check your Interlink for a message about the
data error.  You managed to grab nine files.  View the first two and
decode the seven Beale cyphers with "Croak!"
	Receive a message from Colby, who suggests you send one of the
messages.  Send the "Blues Roots" message through the Finland phone
number.  Close the Intelink and wait for the chopper to land.
	You're now in Red square to track down Harmonica and kill him
before he kills the president.  Check your Intelink to chat Seaton, who
patches you into a satellite view of Red Square.  You're looking for a
signal that oscillates, which is a giveaway of the weapon's location.
And speaking of giveaways: the signal is in the upper left corner,
oscillating between orange and red, on the border between Volpe and
Hwang.  Close the Intelink and shoot Harmonica. Shoot when the camera
stops scanning the audience.  Check your Intelink for three messages.
Go to the Dacha in Crimea for the final scene.
	 Drop your gun when Warhurst appears.  Say "Here's a news
flash..." to get Seaton on the line, then say, "So that's why you put
this team together?" and """"That's why you hacked my PDA." Get your gun
and shoot Warhurst while he's temporarily stunned by the Sound Hack.
Finally, shoot Yuri when he tries to haul away the Russian.  You
Win!!!!!!!!!!!!!
