To unlock characters you can either keep on playing story mode or play VS mode to 
earn points and when you have enough points,you can buy the character meeting the 
point requirement in the unlock content menu.But in story mode,you can unlock characters 
for free but not ALL characters.To unlock some,you have to unlock them through VS mode.
