Play as Carpenter
Get to level 99 in Melee to unlock Carpenter.
Play as Joshua:

Intentionally allow 250 innocents to get killed to unlock Joshua. To unlock
Joshua easily, play the Assault On GENEFEX level, where you have to stop five
possessed Innocents from leaving. Turn the team damage to full damage and
effects in the options menu and kill every single Innocent you see (about
twenty). Complete the level, save, and repeat. Eventually, you will unlock the
crowbar wielding Wayward.
