Tips for Combat:
----------------
* Support magic allows Frey to gain the advantage in battle through the
use of various spells that can immobilize enemies or render them helpless.
To use Support Magic, press the L2 button.

* You can also cycle through other Support Spells using the L1 button
similar to using Offensive Magic.

* Press the R3 button to lock onto enemies so you can better track them
as they move about in battle. This is especially useful during boss
fights against Nightmares of Ultimate Breakbeasts as you want to be able
to anticipate all of their attacks to avoid getting hit.

* To switch targets against multiple foes, use the Right Analog Stick
while locked on to an enemy.

* Charge Magic are extremely powerful spellcraft that become usable as
you use Offensive and Support Magic during the thick of battle. These
spells can often wipe out entire groups of enemies with a single cast,
making them useful when the numbers are against you.

* To use Charge Magic, press the R2 +R1 button.

* Sometimes, you will get an opportunity to land a finishing blow in
enemies when they are at their most vulnerable. Doing so lets you deal
massive damage while instantly recharging Cuff’s barrier and recovering
Frey’s health.

* To perform a finishing blow, approach an enemy and press the ? button.

* Attacking an enemy from behind or to the side allows you to land a
critical hit which is significantly more powerful than regular strikes
dealt up front. Try to get the drop on enemies by sneaking towards them
if you want to initiate combat.

* Note that critical hit damage is greater when hitting an enemy from
behind compared to their flanks.

* Enemies will occasionally throw out piercing attacks that will
penetrate Cuff’s barrier and take out a significant chunk of Frey’s
health. When you see the opponent winding up this move, dodge it by
tilting the Left Analog Stick and pressing the ? button.

* Enemies, especially more powerful monsters, can sometimes perform an
unblockable attack that can pierces through Cuff’s barrier and cannot be
dodged. The only way to avoid unblockables is to hide behind obstacles or
by running away from them using Magic Parkour.

Locked Labyrinth Guide (Enemies and Rewards):
---------------------------------------------
Written by Zr0CooL

I’ll tell you what Enemies and Rewards you can expect to face inside
of this Locked Labyrinth.

-=Enemies=-
In the first room full of enemies you’ll face some Bi-pedal Enemies in a large
number but with low health pools that fire ranged attacks as well as the occasional
melee attack if you are within melee range. just stay on the move and you’ll be
fine.

The next room features a few “break-beasts” in the form of something resembling
a bear and two jungle cats. I opted to take out the quicker moving felines first
and then focused the larger, slower moving, “bear.” Again make use of your magic
parkour by staying mobile and you’ll trivialize this fight.

In the last room of enemies or rather enemy you will encounter the boss of the
labyrinth which is akin to a squid? I guess… I had scattershot upgraded to lvl 2
and was able to make short work of this enemy. Just look out for its ranged attacks
where it launches 4 water crescent slashes at you. It also has a slower easier to
dodge attack, where it calls up some “geysers” from underneath you. The boss may
seem formidable but was honestly a pushover. Just be sure to stay out of the water
as it hinders your ability to use magic of any sort, until you are close enough
to a ledge/wall and can parkour out of the water. While in the water you move
incredibly slow. There’s a good chance the boss will hit you with a melee attack
if within range, but I never gave it the chance, neither should you. So keep that
in mind while fighting the boss and it should be an easy w.

-=Items=-
You’ll find a couple healing droughts in each room that there are enemies
so don’t worry about taking a bit of damage in each fight as you won’t be
punished for this so early in the game.

In between fights you’ll find some mana pools as well as some firewood to
make camp with (the game states this material is somewhat hard to come by,
so be sure to pick it up). Should be after the bear and jungle cats fight.

Along with a somewhat lackluster piece of lore, you’ll find a necklace after
the boss fight. Called orison which states: auto-heal effect triggered after
defeating an enemy.

How To Counter:
---------------
By pushing the Triangle or Y button on your controller before an enemy strike
hits, you can use a Cuff Counter in Forspoken. The process is really simple
and, for once, even forgiving. What you need to do is as follows:

* Wait for your opponent to launch an attack.
* Press the Cuff Counter button just as their attack is about to connect. On
the PC, this is Triangle for PlayStation controllers and Y for Xbox controllers.
* The more HP you recover, the better your counter timing must be. Keep in mind,
though, that a counter will only ever restore HP up to the level of the enemy attack.

-=How To Do A Precision Counter=-
As the title indicates, a precision counter is more accurate than a regular cuff
counter. You have the option to block a little bit earlier than you would typically
counter. Although a block can be effective, it won’t restore as much life as the
strength of the adversary attack. However, in order to perform a Precision counter,
you must quickly hit the Triangle or Y button in response to an enemy assault. This
move’s counterattack will be much more strong, and you’ll also recover a lot more
health.

Tips on Getting Scatter Shot 2 Upgraded:
----------------------------------------
Written by Fluffy

Go towards Dianthus wood refuge, safe house from lefthand lower corner of the
map, there is so many Zombies, just keep pressing your left click and get the
AOE triggered and you will have it in one try.

It’s not very far from Cipal so you do not have to have gotten far in the story.

But the main key trick is the AOE, you can trigger it early as well if you release
the trigger before the “ammo” is all out.

How to Remove FPS Lock (Cheat Engine):
--------------------------------------
Written by EvPointMaster

Open Cheat Engine, select the Forspoken process, search for
"Scan Type: Exact Value” and “Value Type: 4 Bytes".

In value enter the FPS cap option you have set in the game and press “First Scan”
and wait for the Scan to finish. This can take a minute or so.

Now change the FPS cap option ingame to a different value, enter that Value in
Cheat Engine and click on “Next Scan”

Repeat step 2 until you only get 3 results. Select all 3 results. Right click
“Change value of selected addresses” and enter the value for the FPS cap you want.
You can just enter 999 if you want to use V-Sync.

Using the PS5 Controller Right:
-------------------------------
Written by Lucratiel

A guide to quickly show you how to enable haptic feedback and the trigger features
for your PS5 controller. They don’t work if you just start up the game (at least for me).

-=Setting Up the Controller=-
Trying to use your PS5 controller but it’s not giving you any feedback on the triggers?

First thing: Try using a cable and not bluetooth, that can cause problems.

But now to the real problem. It’s important to disable the steam input so the controller
works properly.

To do that, right click on Forspoken in your library. Then you have to select “Properties”.
There you can go to the “CONTROLLER” settings. Once you are there, for the “OVERRIDE FOR
FORSPOKEN” setting you have to select “Disable Steam Input”. You can do that by clicking
the small blue arrow on the right.

Now, if your settings under “Steam” -> “Settings” -> “Controller” -> “General Controller
Settings” also have the PS5 Controller-Support enabled (at least that’s the case for me
and it works), you should be able to fully enjoy your controller, the haptic feedback
and trigger!
