Star Wars - Jedi Knight : Jedi Academy is the latest installment of the highly
acclaimed Jedi Knight series. Take on the role of a new student eager to learn
the ways of the Force from Jedi Master Luke Skywalker. Interact with famous
Star Wars characters in many classic Star Wars locations as you face the
ultimate choice: fight for good and freedom on the light side or follow the
path of power and evil to the dark side.

CONTROLS
Whilst the game is entirely customisable in terms of what the controls are, and
how you allocate the buttons to functions ? I personally found that the
following worked for me. For starters I had TWO different movement control
methods. I used the regular up, down, left and right cursors with my LEFT hand
and mapped my most-often-used Force Powers to the numeric keypad so that I
could do all my movement and Force Power use with my left hand, and look and
attack using the mouse with my right-hand, and I retained a SECOND set of
movement controls on the W, A, S and D keys (where A and D were STRAFING
commands), and C crouched, and used THAT set of keys when I entered combat with
other lightsaber-wielders, as I found it easier to move in combat using that
method. PLUS if you press C+W and your Primary Attack button ? You do a cool
twirl (depending on your saber and fighting stance).
So ... MY buttons were as follows
MOVE FORWARD = Up Arrow / W
MOVE LEFT = Left Arrow
MOVE RIGHT = Right Arrow
MOVE BACK = Down Arrow / S
STRAFE LEFT = A
STRAFE RIGHT = D
CROUCH = C
JUMP = Right Mouse Button

CHOOSING YOUR DIFFICULTY LEVEL
There are FOUR difficulty levels to choose from in Jedi Academy :
Padawan, Jedi, Jedi Knight and Jedi Master.
There is nothing more to be said about this ... Padawan is obviously the
easiest, and they get progressively more ... interesting from then on in !!

CHOOSING YOUR CHARACTER
Now that you've decided how BUTCH you are feeling, it's time to choose your
character. Unfortunately there are NOT as many options available to you when
choosing your character insofar as their race and gender are concerned as I am
sure we would all have liked, but hey ! Since the game has been around for a
while there are PLENTY of extra skins that you can download from web-sites out
there that you can use in this game, from Darth Maul to Darth Vader, Master
Yoda, Luke, Kyle, and many many more. My favourite character is modelled on
one of the Ring Wraiths from the Lord of the Rings. He looks SO cool !!!!! =)
ASSUMING you've not downloaded any extra .pk3 skin files from the internet ?
Let me give you a run-down on the characters you can pick for now.
TWI'LEK FEMALE
I LOVE the Twi'lek as a race ... it's those ...... THINGS on their head ...
they're just so funny !! Unfortunately the only Twi'lek you can pick is a
female ... nothing against girls ? But I TOTALLY wanted to play a male
Twi'lek ... remember that guy from Jabba's Palace ? His counselor-dude ? I
wanted to make HIM as a character (pout pout).
As a Twi'lek Female you have a choice of SIX different colours for her skin,
EIGHT different faces to pick from, SIX different upper torsos, and FOUR
different sets of leggings.
ZABRAK FEMALE
Again, if you want to play as a Zabrak, you can ONLY play as a female as at
the time of writing ... which is a bit PANTS really innit ! Nevermind eh ...
As a Zabrak Female you have the choice of NINE different colour-schemes for
the trim on her clothing, THREE different faces to pick from, SIX different
upper torsos and FOUR sets of leggings.
HUMAN FEMALE
The human is the only character in the game which has both genders available
for you to pick from ... and to be honest I think that's favouritism ! I mean,
SURE, it's appealling to the masses and all that ? But DAMN !! As it so
happens the choices in both female and male versions of the human aren't quite
as varied as I would have liked ... but hey - beggars can't be choosers, eh ?
As a Human Female you have the choice of NINE different colour-schemes for the
trim on her clothing, THREE different faces to pick from, SIX different upper
torsos and FOUR sets of leggings.
HUMAN MALE
My comments for the human male are pretty much the same as for the human
female ... you'll see what I mean ;)
As a Human Male you have the choice of NINE different colour-schemes for the
trim on his clothing, THREE different faces to pick from, SEVEN different
upper torsos and FOUR sets of leggings.
KEL DOR MALE
Aaaaaaah Plo Koon can be yours !! ;)
As a Kel Dor Male you have the choice of NINE different colour-schemes for the
trim on his clothing, THREE different faces to pick from, SIX different upper
torsos and FOUR sets of leggings.
RODIAN MALE
Hey ! You look kinda familiar ... did we go out on a date once ???
Hmmmmmmm ... you sure ?
As a Rodian Male you have the choice of NINE different colour-schemes for the
trim on his clothing, THREE BUTT-UGLY faces to pick from, SIX different upper
torsos and FOUR sets of leggings.
Right ... now that you've picked your playing piece, so-to-speak, in this game,
we will move on to the all-important LIGHT SABER OPTIONS ... (wrings hands in
glee)

CHOOSING YOUR LIGHTSABER
Right ... at the outset you only get the choice of ONE light saber. You can
still customise it though, so don't be upset :) You can pick from a total of
TEN different saber hilts - the Arbiter, Retaliator, Consul (my personal fave),
Adept, Praetor, Sentinel, Adjudicator, Defender and Firebrand, AND (more
importantly in my humble opinion) a choice of FIVE different colours for your
"blade". Blue, Green, Orange, Purple or Yellow.
NO, THERE IS NO RED ON THIS SCREEN.
I KNOW ... IT SUCKS ...
But the game still ROCKS, yes ?? =)

Finally, you will note that the only style of fighting available to you with
your saber at the outset is "medium".

LET THE GAME BEGIN !
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away ....
STAR WARS
JEDI KNIGHT: JEDI ACADEMY
Ten years after the Battle of Endor, the IMPERIAL REMNANT continues to be
driven back by the NEW REPUBLIC, forcing the Imperials to adopt increasingly
desperate tactics in the ongoing struggle.
Meanwhile, Jedi Master LUKE SKYWALKER moves to restore the JEDI to their
formal place as peacekeepers of the galazy at his JEDI ACDADEMY on YAVIN 4.
JADEN KORR, a promising student from Coruscant, is en route to the Academy
after achieving the impossible: creating a lightsaber without any formal Jedi
training ....
The cutscene (briefly) shows you on the Yavin Runner 2 en route to the Academy,
and having a brief dialogue with a rather jumpy student named Rosh. Just as
you are starting to chat with him, the shuttle is hit by some sort of energy
blast from the planet, wiping out one of its engines and forcing the pilot to
make an emergency landing.
Whilst Master Skywalker is talking with the pilot to ascertain the extent of
the damage, a Twi'Lek spy steals into his Academy and messes with his
computers !! That little SLEAZE !!
She disappears seemingly without attracting any attention from Master
Skywalker.

INTRODUCTORY MISSION - YAVIN 4 - EN ROUTE TO THE ACADEMY
==============================================================================
The game starts with you standing beside the downed Yavin Runner 2. The voice
of the pilot calls out to you to tell you that they can't get to you, and that
you should make your way to the temple, where the shuttle will meet you.
Rosh is standing on some rocks ahead of you - a river separates the two of
you.
There is a slight chill in the air, and the smell of lilies on the breeze.
You receive a new objective (you'll know this because "New Objective
Information" appears at the top of your screen in big letters) as soon as you
start this level, and it tells you (if you press the M key on your keyboard)
to "Find a way to rescue Rosh from the ledge he is on".
Turn 45 degrees to your right. See the fern across the other side of the ...
lake ? Head over to it. Rosh tells you that you might be able to use your
light saber to cut down the tree nearby to make a bridge for him. In fact,
in the time it's taken me to type that little bit of text he's already said it
to me ... like ... THREE TIMES ?? STOP BEING SO IMPATIENT YOU LITTLE
MAGGOT !!!!!!!!
Aaaaaaaaaand ... WHALLOP ! Tree goes down with one swing of your light saber
and Rosh is free. Now the two of you have to make your way over to the Temple.
Turn to your right and follow the stream upriver. You will be attacked by two
Howlers. They are very weak - a single blow from your lightsaber will take
them down ... just beware if they raise their heads and start to shriek
though, as you will be unable to get in close-quarters whilst they are doing
so (try it for a laugh - the effect is quite cool).
Once the two Howlers have been killed, you can go on ... keep your eye out for
a door on the right wall ... go to it when you see it ...

CUTSCENE - Rosh opens the door for you.
==============================================================================
Go through the door and you will find another Howler to your left. Rosh will
warn you about this one ... you can either wait for it to stop shrieking, let
Rosh try and shoot it (do we REALLY have the time ?? He's a CR@P SHOT !!), or
chuck your light saber at its belly using your SECOND ATTACK function ... by
default I think this is the right mouse button ;)
Follow the track around to the right and then cross the bridge. The track
then curves to the left and you get to fight ANOTHER Howler (easy peasy).
Climb the rocks ahead of you and Rosh will tell you to use your lightsaber to
make another tree-bridge for the two of you to use ... do so, and move on.
Just don't be clever and try and stand under it when you cut it ?? ;)
Once over the bridge, follow the path to the left and back around to the
right. Kill the last Howler and move on.

CUTSCENE - Jaden and Rosh reach the Academy, and spot Storm Troopers in the
clearing ahead. Rosh wimps out and suggests you go in and sort it out, given
that a) you are the one with the lightsaber, and b) he's a RUBBISH shot with
that pistol of his ...
==============================================================================
Once you have taken out the two Storm Troopers a renegade lightsaber-wielding
Dark Jedi ... I think it's safe to call him that ? Drops down into the
clearing below you and begins to taunt you. Drop down and duel it out with
him ... you shouldn't have any real problems with him - he's easy ;)
Once he is dead, this level is over.

CUTSCENE - Jaden strolls across the water to the temple and witnesses three
Dark Jedi - one of whom is armed with some sort of staff weapon - standing at
the temple and projecting some sort of energy beam from the staff.
You make a noise and are spotted. Next thing you know, you wake up with
Master Skywalker, Kyle Katarn, Rosh and a load of other students around.
The scene switches to a shuttle leaving the planet, with the Dark Jedi from
the Temple and the Twi'lek spy having a conversation. The Spy confirms that
she has been able to hack into Skywalker's records ... her mistress seems
pleased.
The action then switches back to the Academy, where the students are given
their induction-speech. Master Skywalker explains that multiple students will
be assigned to each Jedi Master, given the shortage of Masters to teach. You
and (guess who) will wind up working under Kyle's tutelage.

JEDI ACADEMY - TRAINING
==============================================================================
Once you begin, head over to the door to your north-east. It will open
automatically.
==============================================================================
CUTSCENE - Kyle explains that the course is designed to teach you how to use
your CORE force abilities.
==============================================================================
After he has given you his speech, move through the door ahead of you into the
Training Remote Corridor. There are FIVE training remotes that will come at
you - just like in the movies. Deflect laser blasts if you like (you won't be
able to redirect them at the remotes yet - you're not proficient enough with
the lightsaber), otherwise hack and throw your saber at the remotes until they
are all DEED.
Once they have fallen, Kyle will congratulate you and (after he's done talking)
you should move through the door in front of you.
Head to your left - just to the left of that grey tower ahead of you - and
then turn right 90 degrees. Kyle will tell you to Force Jump across the
bridge. Once you have done this, run straight ahead and towards the oddly-
coloured section of the wall.
Kyle will tell you to use Force Push to get through - do so.
In the next section, Rosh tries to slow you down by releasing a training droid
to fight you. He seems to think this is some sort of a competition or
something. What a GIMP.
Dispose of the Training Droid with the UTMOST contempt, and then head to the
LEFT of the arena, past the obelisk and through the trapezium-shaped doorway.

CUTSCENE - Kyle will ask you why you took so long. You dismiss him, telling
him it was nothing.
==============================================================================
In the next area, you need to use Force Pull to activate the switch behind the
grate on the right-hand wall. Doing so will open the door before you.
As you pass through this doorway you clear your first CHECKPOINT =)
Checkpoints are cool, basically this means if you die ? And you HAVEN'T
saved ? You can be brought back to life at your last checkpoint. Obviously I
would strongly suggest saving wherever possible just to be on the safe side,
but this is handy as a hint that something BAD is about to happen ;)
For future reference I will enter the words CHECKPOINT SAVED AUTOMATICALLY at
key points where a checkpoint is saved. HOPEFULLY I'll get them all, but you
should ALWAYS make use of the F12 key to store a quick-save after killing a
particularly irritating bad guy, or escaping an especially dangerous trap.
Don't worry - quick-save doesn't generate one save per button use - it only
maintains the one save, so EVERY time you press F12 it overwrites the LAST
quick-save. F9 is the quick-load command (as in, it loads the last quick-save)
just in case you're curious ;) I made EXTENSIVE use of both buttons during my
time playing this game. Anyhow ... back to the plot.
As you will see, the way ahead is blocked. Go through the door on the right,
down the steps and into the next room. Kyle tells you to use your Force Sense
power to see if you can find a way out of the room.
If you look around you will see that in the upper-left corner of the room is a
walkway that you can't reach ... you need to use Force Sense and look at the
southern wall of this room - as in, just to the left of the door you used to
come in ? On THAT wall you will see some coloured icons. Use Force Pull on
those icons and you will draw out blocks from the wall that you can climb,
thus enabling you to reach the walkway.
YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW HOW LONG IT TOOK ME TO WORK THAT OUT !?!?!??!?!?!? ;)
Once you are on the walkway, turn to the left and head through the door. Then
turn right and through the next door. Run down the corridor and through the
next door. When you run straight into the obelisk ? Turn right ;) go
straight and then through the door on the left and Kyle will tell you about
your last challenge on this course ... the use of Force Speed.
Go through the door directly ahead of you and you will see doors at 45 degrees
to your east AND west. It's not so important which one you use, but you must
use Force Speed BEFORE you run towards the door (whichever one you pick) as it
will start to close as you approach it.
I'm going to go through the right door. GO GO GO GO GO !!!
Once through the right door, turn a little to your left, head over to the
steps, then turn 90 degrees to your right and go through the archway.
HERE ENDS THE TRAINING LEVEL.

CUTSCENE - Kyle explains to Rosh that he's a LOSER and that what he did was
STUPID and reckless. Kyle also explains to Jaden that, whilst she has every
right to be unhappy with Rosh, feeding her anger will lead her to the dark
side.
Master Skywalker comes out to greet you all, and explains that a symbol on a
piece of clothing that the assailants left at the temple (most likely the one
you KILLED at the start) is the symbol of the Sith Lord Marka Ragnos. Ragnos
died 5,000 years ago, and Skywalker requests that when you are out and about
on your missions, you should keep an eye open for any cult affiliated with
Ragnos in any way.

Having now completed your training, you are ready to begin actively working
for the Jedi Academy.
Luke explains that the Academy maintains a policy of "learning by doing" -
i.e. sharing the workload ... this being the case, you yourself will actively
be undertaking missions for and on behalf of the Academy.

FIRST TOUR OF DUTY
On the first "LEVEL" as it were, you have a choice of five missions :-
1) Mercenary Activity on Tatooine
2) Droid Recovery on Tatooine
3) Emergency Assistance on Bakura
4) Merchant Rescue on Blenjeel
5) Cult Investigation on Corellia
You can undertake these missions in whichever order you like, but for the ease
of doing this walkthrough I am going to stick to them in the order they are
given to you.

LEVEL 1 - MISSION 1
MERCENARY ACTIVITY - TATOOINE
BRIEFING
"We've been receiving a number of reports that the Disciples of Ragnos have
been trying to hire mercenaries and smugglers to haul some cargo. If we can
contact one of these mercenary groups, maybe we can find out the cult's base
of operations. One of the smuggling rings that we know about is based at Mos
Eisley. Go there and see what you can find out."
KYLE : "This one sounds like it could be nasty, so I'll be going with you.
You'll find some of the galaxy's worst lowlife on Tatooine."

PREPARATION
Once you have accepted the mission you are taken to the Force Power screen.
Every time you come to this screen you can add ONE force point to any light OR
dark force power you choose, up to a maximum of THREE force points in each
power. Given that this is the first time you have come to this screen, a Help
screen will appear to explain all this to you.
You CANNOT upgrade your core force powers - force jump, force pull, force push,
force sense, force speed, lightsaber defence, lightsaber offence and lightsaber
throw will all grow at their own rate.
You have a choice, therefore, of EIGHT different force powers into which you

result.
RANK 2 : Jedi can absorb moderate amounts of Force power directed at
them with no ill effects and gain a modest amount of Force
power back as a result.
RANK 3 : Jedi can absorb a great amount of Force power directed at
them with no ill effects and gain a large amount of Force
power back as a result.
SINISTER SAYS : Useful only if you are looking to stop yourself being thrown
off a bridge by those more powerful in the force than you,
basically. I never bother with this particular power.

FORCE HEAL
Duration : Instantaneous effect
Area of Effect : Jedi only
Effect : Jedi have the ability to heal themselves after injury
RANK 1 : Jedi goes into a meditative stance for a short time and must
remain stationary. Any movement or attack will prevent
healing. Healing rate depends on game difficulty.
RANK 2 : Jedi no longer needs to be stationary. The Jedi will heal
over a short period of time. Healing rate depends on game
difficulty.
RANK 3 : Jedi heals more rapidly than rank 2. Healing rate depends
on game difficulty.
SINISTER SAYS : Um ... Judges ?? This skill is ESSENTIAL if you want to get
anywhere in this game, as I'm sure you've already guessed.
If you don't have this skill then the only way you can heal
yourself is to either a) finish the level, b) find medikits
and other power-ups, or c) cheat !! I would strongly suggest
plumping at LEAST two points into this skill.
MIND TRICK
Duration : Variable
Area of Effect : Humanoids
Effect : Allows Jedi to confuse and/or misdirect attention
RANK 1 : Jedi can confuse one enemy for 10 seconds by directly
targeting that enemy.
NOTE: A direct attack made by the Jedi on a confused enemy
will cancel the effect. Mind trick does not work on
some, more powerful enemies, such as Cultists and
Reborn.
RANK 2 : Jedi can confuse one enemy for 15 seconds by directly
targeting that enemy or distract multiple enemies that have
not noticed them by using mind trick on a nearby surface.
RANK 3 : Jedi can turn one enemy into an ally for 30 seconds by
directly targeting that enemy or distract multiple enemies
that have not noticed them by using mind trick on a nearby
surface. An ally will not respond to attacks by the Jedi.
SINISTER SAYS : Whilst I have a big soft-spot for this skill ? It's not
INSANELY useful - you will most likely use it just for show
But it's still worth sinking at least one point into if
you're into the whole "you don't need to see his
identification" thing ??? ;)
FORCE PROTECTION
Duration : Variable
Area of Effect : Jedi only
Effect : Allows Jedi to decrease incoming damage from energy,
physical, projectile, and explosive sources.
RANK 1 : Jedi is protected against 25% of the damage from physical
and energy and projectile based attacks, but not from Force
based attacks.
RANK 2 : Jedi is protected against 50% of the damage from physical
and energy and projectile based attacks, but not from Force
based attacks.
RANK 3 : Jedi is protected against 75% of the damage from physical
and energy and projectile based attacks, but not from Force
based attacks.
SINISTER SAYS : A useful skill, to be sure ... PARTICULARLY useful if you
ever get into lightsaber duels, as this skill can
dramatically reduce the damage you take - in other words,
it's VERY useful for the newbies out there ;)

FORCE DRAIN
Duration : Variable
Area of Effect : Living persons only
Effect : Allows Jedi to transfer the life essence of a person to
themselves.
RANK 1 : Jedi can drain life essence from another person and transfer
it to themselves by making direct physical contact with that
person.
RANK 2 : Jedi can drain life essence from another person and transfer
it to themselves by making direct physical contact with them
or from a short distance away.
RANK 3 : Jedi can drain life essence from another person and transfer
it to themselves by making direct physical contact with them
or from a safe distance away. From a distance, multiple
people can be drained at one time.
SINISTER SAYS : OMIGODHOWCOOL !! =O Become a VAMPIRE with this skill !!!!!
Basically you leech life force from your opponents with this,
leaving them a broken mound of wibbling jelly on the
ground ... YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHAAAAAAAA
I would look to sinking at least two force points into this
skill during the course of the game.
FORCE GRIP
Duration : Instantaneous
Area of Effect : Living persons only
Effect : Allows Jedi to choke or constrict the organs of a living
being.
RANK 1 : Jedi can grip and hold one enemy immobile, but undamaged for
5 seconds.
RANK 2 : Jedi can lift one enemy off the ground and do damage, with
the effect lasting as long as there is Force power.
RANK 3 : Jedi can lift one enemy off the ground and do damage as with
rank 2, but can also smash the enemy into surfaces or use the
enemy as a shield.
SINISTER SAYS : Okay ... now I've got to be honest ... the first three force
points I sank into my first character ? My blue-skinned
Twi'lek with the Purple Consul Saber ? Went straight into
this skill ... IT'S WICKED !!!!! I would TOTALLY recommend
sinking three points into this skill. You WON'T be sorry
;)
FORCE LIGHTNING
Duration : Variable
Area of Effect : Living persons only
Effect : Allows Jedi to hurl a devastating electrical attack against
enemies.
RANK 1 : Jedi launches a single bolt that fires forward, doing instant
damage.
RANK 2 : Jedi can maintain the Force Lightning for a sustained
forward attack.
RANK 3 : Jedi emanates a sustained fan of electricity in a large
forward arc, damaging anything in front of them.
SINISTER SAYS : Another three-pointer for the Dark Side !! =) Whilst it's
pretty PAP at rank one, by rank three you can wipe out a
whole ROOM of bad OR good guys ;) with a single use of this
power !! AND how funny is it when you're using it to blow
people off buildings =./ I've said too much ... hee hee.
FORCE RAGE
Duration : 10 seconds
Area of Effect : Jedi only
Effect : Affords Jedi protection against damage, an increase in speed,
and an increase in damage potential, at the expense of
health. The Jedi needs some recovery time after a Rage ends.
RANK 1 : Jedi is protected against 50% of all damage, has stronger
attacks, and cannot die. However, the Jedi loses health
rapidly, and must wait for 10 seconds after the rage before
it can be used again. The Jedi must have at least 25 health
to use this power.
RANK 2 : Jedi is protected against 75% of all damage, is 25% faster,
has stronger attacks, and cannot die. However, the Jedi
loses health and must wait for 10 seconds after the rage
before it can be used again. The Jedi must have at least
25 health to use this power.
RANK 3 : Jedi is protected against 90% of all damage, is 50% faster,
has stronger attacks, and cannot die. The Jedi loses only
a small amount of health but still must wait for 10 seconds
after the rage before it can be used again. The Jedi must
have at least 25 health to use this power.
SINISTER SAYS : Ok ... whilst I can see its advantages ? This is my LEAST
favourite Dark Force power, for the simple reason that IT
DRAINS YOUR HEALTH. I mean, SURE it's GREAT to look like
Luke during his fight with Darth Vader where he goes totally
flippin' MENTAL and hammers away with his light saber ? But
the difference ? Luke doesn't act like an old woman when his
"rage" ends ... and TRUST ME you will ;) Usually you wind
up with a couple of health points left after your rage ends,
and you will get killed by something really embarrassing
like ... a bird cr@pping on your head or something ...
... Sinister says this is SOOOOOOOOOO bad for your image ...

An elegant weapon for a more civilized age, the lightsaber is the preferred
weapon of the Jedi Knight. The lightsaber is an energy blade of great power
that can be used by the wielder for both attack and defense.

SECONDARY FIRE : Force powered saber throw
DEFENSIVE ABILITY : Deflects blaster and energy weapon fire, parries enemy
lightsaber attacks
AMMO TYPE : N/A
SINISTER SAYS : This weapon is the MUTT'S NUTS I'm tellin ya. I almost
never use anything else !! And later on in the game you
get to (clamps hands over his mouth before he blurts it
out ................. *types with his toes for a bit*)
DL-44 HEAVY BLASTER PISTOL
(Always taken with you)
One of the most common firearms in the galaxy, the DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol
is a hand-held weapon with a slow rate of fire and incredible accuracy.
PRIMARY FIRE : Slow, single shot with great accuracy and damage
SECONDARY FIRE : Charged energy buildup for increased damage blast
attack
AMMO TYPE : Blaster Pack
SINISTER SAYS : It may be underpowered next to most other weapons in the
game, but it's a freebie from the academy, and if you are
steady with your aim you can get some really good shots off
with this puppy. It has a charge-up function as its
second mode of fire, and looks very sleek and sexy in its
black veneer finish, as it's being modelled by the talented
Stacey

E-11 BLASTER RIFLE
The primary weapon of the Imperial Forces, the E-11 is a study and deadly
blaster rifle capable of inflicting great damage despite its small size. The
E-11's compacy design makes it easy to carry and conceal.
PRIMARY FIRE : Slow, single shot with modest accuracy and great damage.
SECONDARY FIRE : Rapid, burst first with low accuracy and expanded firing
area.
AMMO TYPE : Blaster Pack
SINISTER SAYS : Compared with the DL-44, this is like a nuclear warhead -
it does TONNES of damage and is a very reasonable hand-
weapon to use ... I wouldn't recommend taking it on a
mission, as in any level with Imperial troops you will find
MASSES of these lying around, so I would go for something
a bit more ... special ... =./
TENLOSS DXR-6 DISRUPTOR RIFLE
This nefarious weapon affects matter at the molecular level, ripping apart
living material with ease. Because of the weapon's inhumane nature, the DXR-6
is outlawed throught the galaxy and is generally only used by scattered droid
and Remnant forces.
PRIMARY FIRE : Single shot with slow fire rate, fast projectile and small
radius damage.
SECONDARY FIRE : Scoped Mode : Single shot with slow fire rate, increased
damage and high weapon energy consumption.
AMMO TYPE : Power cell
SINISTER SAYS : I ALWAYS take this weapon with me ... WHY ?? NOT ONLY
because it's a really mean little sonofab!tch, but ALSO
because it has a S-N-I-P-E-R scope on it. You can use this
to GREAT effect to scout out areas before you go running in
guns blazing, only to find you're TOTALLY outclassed ;)
ALSO, in sniper mode ? You can charge up the attack and
VAPORISE your enemies from afar (worth it even at the high
energy cost) ;)
WOOKIEE BOWCASTER
This archaic-looking weapon fires powerful bolts of metal enveloped in pockets
of energy. Capable of inflicting incredible damage, the bowcaster requires
tremendous physical strength to fire. Most bowcasters sold outside the
Wookiee homeworld come equipped with self-cocking actions that allow physically
weaker creatures to fire them.
PRIMARY FIRE : Slow, single show with radius damage. Hold FIRE to charge
weapon for spread attack.
SECONDARY FIRE : Unleashes a reflective shot that bounces off solid
surfaces.
AMMO TYPE : Power Cell
SINISTER SAYS : A powerful but UGLY-@SS weapon that I never take with
me ... sorry ... =./
When fully charged it can fire multiple energy blasts in a
wide arc, so it's good for taking out groups of people,
but for me ? It's just too damned UGLY !! ;)
DESTRUCTIVE ELECTRO-MAGNETIC PULSE 2 GUN
Commonly referred to as the DEMP 2, this pulse rifle is primarily used against
droids and electrical devices. The DEMP 2 fires highly-powered ion bursts that
disrupt electrical systems. Unlike previous incarnations of the weapon, the
DEMP 2's ion charges are capable of damaging living material.
PRIMARY FIRE : Single shot, stuns humans, damages droids.
SECONDARY FIRE : Charged energy attack that creates an expanding shell of
electromagnetic energy on impact that damages humanoids,
droids and turrets.
AMMO TYPE : Power cell
SINISTER SAYS : Another weapon I tend to take with me ... it does MASSES
of damage to droids and electrical systems, and this can
REALLY help you later on in the game ;) There are better
weapons, sure ... but I really have a soft spot for this
one !!
IMPERIAL HEAVY REPEATER WITH CONCUSSION LAUNCHER
This destructive projectile weapon is extremely deadly, firing rapid streams
of metal bullets. Imperial forces use the Heavy Repeater's deadly suppressive
fire and concussion launcher for crowd control and to spread heavy fire over
large areas.
PRIMARY FIRE : Fully automatic projectile fire
SECONDARY FIRE : Single shot, concussive explosive round
AMMO TYPE : Metallic Bolts
SINISTER SAYS : This is a mighty fine choice of weapon. The INSANELY rapid
rate of fire that you get in standard mode makes it a joy
to use - especially when you unload up close and into the
head of a boss. The SECONDARY function is a GREAT crowd-
disperser, BUT it fires on an arc so you have to aim UP to
get it to fire further and, given its high energy
consumption rate ? You might like to wait until you are a
bit more experienced with it before firing off large numbers
of concussive rounds.
GOLAN ARMS FC1 FLECHETTE WEAPON
Widely used by the Corporate Sector Authority's police squads, the FC1 fires
shares of metal in a widespread pattern. The weapon is designed to hit
multiple targets in close proximity, but great care must be taken to avoid
ricochet damage.
PRIMARY FIRE : Single shot, spread fire
SECONDARY FIRE : Fires two bouncing proximity mines which explode after a
short time
AMMO TYPE : Metallic Bolts
SINISTER SAYS : Up-close, this is a SERIOUSLY powerful weapon. If you're
standing so close to your opponent that all the shards from
the spread attack hit them ? I think it's arguably THE
most powerful weapon you can carry. HOWEVER, there is the
issue of ricochet damage if you fire it off at ... say ...
10 feet away ? So it's NOT the type of weapon you should
just use to run in gun's blazing.
Similarly in its SECONDARY firing mode, you have to take
care to make sure the bombs don't bounce OFF your target
and roll RIGHT back to your feet - I've had this happen to
me a few times and let me tell you ... it's NOT good ;)
STOUKER CONCUSSION RIFLE
The Stouker fires a concussive blast creating an explosion that spreads about
4 metres in diameter.
PRIMARY FIRE : Single shot, large explosive effect that damages everything
slow firing rate
SECONDARY FIRE : Fires a smaller projectile shot that has a smaller
explosive radius but does much more damage in that radius
and has a more severe recoil
AMMO TYPE : Metallic Bolts
SINISTER SAYS : The EXTREMELY quick speed at which this weapon fires its
payload can make it VERY difficult to dodge (unless you're
a Dark Jedi of course in which case it seems to be totally
ludicrously easy !) The secondary-fire option is good, but
don't use it on a ledge or the recoil might throw you off
and that ISN'T cool ;)
It's a powerful weapon, but not the coolest.
MERR-SONN PLX-2M PORTABLE MISSILE SYSTEM
The PLX-2M is an extremely powerful weapon that fires Arakyd 3T3 missiles.
The sheer explosive power of the PLX-2M makes it dangerous to fire blindly in
close quarters, but is extremely effective when used as a 'smart' tracking
weapon.
PRIMARY FIRE : Fires a single, forward-firing explosive missile
SECONDARY FIRE : Fires a single 'smart' missile that tracks acquired and
locked targets
AMMO TYPE : Rockets
SINISTER SAYS : Ok ok ok ... the SECOND fire function of this weapon is
most DEFINITELY the coolest function of any of the weapons
in the entire game I reckon. Aim at your opponent, hold
down the secondary fire button and watch as that cute little
red reticle bleeps and bleeps and then locks on. Then fire
and kiss their ass goodbye !!
In standard fire mode it DOESN'T do anywhere NEAR as much
damage as I would like to have seen, BUT it can be used to
knock people off ledges and so on, as there is a reasonable
amount of kick-back on impact.

CHOOSING EXPLOSIVES
THERMAL DETONATOR
The thermal detonator is a radius-damage grenade that releases a barrage of
thermal energy capable of disintegrating all matter around it.
PRIMARY FIRE : Detonator explodes after a short time. Press FIRE longer
for longer throw.
SECONDARY FIRE : Detonator explodes on impact. Press ALT+FIRE longer for
longer throw.
SINISTER SAYS : I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS take the Thermal Detonator with
me ... it's not that the other explosives aren't really
cool ? It's just 'coz I can remember that line from when
I was a boy ... "Because he's holding a thermal
detonator !!!!!!", and it makes me smile =) See ??????? =)
DETONATION PACKS
A detonation pack is essentially a small explosive device with a remote
detonation trigger. The pack is placed or thrown and can be detonated at will
by the user. Detonation packs are commonly used to ambush enemies or seal
opened doors.
PRIMARY FIRE : Sets charge at the user's feet.
SECONDARY FIRE : Explodes all set charges.
SINISTER SAYS : Useful more in multi-player I would think ... in single-
player mode, by the time you've noticed your enemies in
MOST cases you aren't in a position whereby you could
easily plant one of these for it to have the desired
effect ;)
TRIP MINES
Trip mines consist of a beam projector affixed to a shaped explosive casing.
The laser activates when the mine is placed and extends a beam from the charge
to the nearest surface that intersects its path. If the beam is broken or the
charge is fired upon, the mine detonates and causes radius damage to anything
in range.
PRIMARY FIRE : Once placed, triggered by breaking the beam.
SECONDARY FIRE : Once placed, the mine acts as a proximity device, waiting
until an enemy comes within blast radius, then detonates,
damaging any enemies in the area.
SINISTER SAYS : Arguably the most versatile of the explosives, as it has
FULL dual-functionality (trip mine -v- proximity mine) ...
however, ALL explosives pale into insignificance next to
the ALMIGHTY THERMAL DETONATOR =D

So !! Now you've picked your two weapons and one explosive - whatever they
are - so without further ado, let's get stuck into Mission 01 !!
As the mission loads you will see the weapons, explosives and force powers you
have available to you for this first mission.

LEVEL 1 - MISSION 1
MERCENARY ACTIVITY - TATOOINE

Mission Starts
==============================================================================
CUTSCENE - Kyle and Jaden arrives at Mos Eisley and find the Millennium
Falcon !! Neither Han Solo or Chewbacca are present, and Kyle has a bad
feeling about being in the area. He instructs you to remain where you are,
and detain anybody coming OR going to question them about the smugglers whilst
he goes over to do more or less the same elsewhere.
Next thing you hear after Kyle has gone is gunfire, and Chewbacca comes
backing out through the door almost bumping into you. The two of you have a
brief exchange of dialogue - his VERY helpfully being WITHOUT substitles (!!),
and then the level begins.
So ! Basically you have the assistance of Chewy AND (in a roundabout sort of
way) Kyle on this first mission ... NEAT !! =D

NOTE : From here-on-in I will start making my "mission walkthroughs" in more
of a bullet-style system, so that you can do them in bite-size bits rather
than having to read my essays each time, okey dokes ??
-> From your starting position go forward and right, into the courtyard. Kill
as many people there as you can. Chewy will interrupt you when you have
killed enough.
-> Head inside for cover - from where you entered the courtyard, this is to
the north-east. Kill all the guards in the next room and advance through
the far door.
-> Turn LEFT and use the energy recharger.

BRIEF EXPLANATION ABOUT RECHARGERS. There are TWO types of energy rechargers
in this game - they both look very similar - like little crates with either
glowing green or orange lights on them.
GREEN energy rechargers replenish your SHIELD ENERGY (up to 75% of it)
ORANGE energy rechargers replenish your ENERGY CELLS for your weapons
To use either type, just run up to it and press and hold the USE button whilst
looking at it.

-> Do a 180 and go through the other door. Turn 90 degrees to the left and
listen in on the guards' conversation about the Rodians. Then kill the
guards.
-> Go through the door at the left at the end of this room, and back into the
courtyard. Kill the guy with the Heavy Repeater to the right of the door
as you enter this area.
-> "PACIFY" the courtyard by killing everbody there (except Chewbacca of
course).

CUTSCENE - Tractor beams come on, holding both your ship AND the Millennium
Falcon in place.
==============================================================================
NEW OBJECTIVE - Disable both tractor beams to get free.
-> By now you will probably have turned around so many times directions won't
make ANY sense, so look up and around the light coloured wall ... see the
black and blue radar dish ? Go to the wall OPPOSITE that dish, and go
through the small door to the right of the big door, in that wall.
-> Still with me ??? I hope so !! Turn left and kill the guards at the end
of this corridor. Then go through the door in the RIGHT hand wall to enter
the courtyard where YOUR ship is being held.
-> Head out past your ship towards the doors behind it, to activate a cutscene.

CUTSCENE - Guards pour forth from one of the closed doors, and pin Chewy and
Jaden down. Jaden says that she will sneak out and take out the tractor beams,
if Chewy can keep the guards occupied. He agrees and off she goes ... the
door caves in behind her, separating the two =(
==============================================================================
-> Kill the guards in this area and then go through the door they were
guarding to activate your next checkpoint !!
-> Use the energy recharger in the next room and listen to the Rodian
screaming out a warning.
-> 90 degrees to the right and use the door to enter the room filled with trip
wire mines. From just inside the room (i.e. BEFORE the first set of mines),
go 90 degrees to your LEFT and around the boxes ... kill the guards, and go
through the door behind the Rodian with the disruptor rifle.
-> RUN STRAIGHT BACK AGAIN as there is a Gran at the top of the stairs to
your right who will throw a thermal detonator down as soon as you enter the
room !!
-> Once the thermal detonator has gone off, go back into the room and TAKE HIM
OUT (hint: it's NOT always a good idea to go hand-to-hand with these guys,
as they carry thermal detonators) ;) Once he is dead, go past his corpse,
up the stairs, and turn right.
-> Turn left to enter the next room and take out the guards ... then go
through the door out onto the walkway. Cross the walkway (with the
Millennium Falcon to your right), kill the rodian and enter the far door.
-> First door on the right - wipe out the guards and go into the elevator in
the middle.
-> Out of the elevator, activate the lever to the RIGHT of the partition ahead

room. Then activate the lever in this room to deactivate the tractor beam
holding the Raven's Claw in place. It's to the left of the door you just
came through ;)
-> Back to the elevator and go down
-> Come out of the elevator and go to the door BEHIND it ... wait a few
seconds and Chewy will open the door from the other side.
-> Past Chewbacca to the second door on your right (the little one). This
will lead you into the courtyard with the Millennium Falcon.
-> Wipe out the guards in this area to activate the final cutscene on this

CUTSCENE - Kyle and Jaden arrive on Tatooine, but cannot find the Jawas. Kyle
notices tracks leading away from your present location and suggests that you
follow them to find the Jawas' Sandcrawler and see if you can get the droid,
whilst he goes off to try and find out more information about the Cult.

-> Run forward and around to the right. As you appoach the Jawas you will
hear the cries of SAND PEOPLE. B@STARDS !!! I HATE those guys ... draw
your weapons and prepare to fight !
-> First group of sand people come from the right and move on the Jawas ...
defend the Jawas and despatch the sand people. Then head in the direction
these sand people came from.
-> Follow the canyon around to the left, slaying sand people as you go.
-> Keep going and following the track gently around to the left and you will
come upon a house. Go inside and slay all the sand people inside.
-> Keep going through the house ... there is only one way to go - if you go
the wrong way, you will come to a dead-end or wind up in a secret area and
have to double-back on yourself :)

-> Head UPWARDS when you get the chance ...
-> ... and out the door at the top of that long slope to come out on a flat
plateau with houses on it ...
-> Still with me I hope :) Run across one of the two HUGE rocks that bridge
the canyon ahead of you to get to the other side, and then head into the
rocky structure in the left corner of this area. It's a cave in the cliff
face - as you enter you will activate a checkpoint.
-> Head inside and down the slope - take a left at the bottom.
-> Then follow it around to the right and exit to be greeted by the Jawas.

NEW OBJECTIVE - Retrieve the droid from the sandcrawler.
==============================================================================
-> Jaden seems perplexed - these might not even be the right Jawas !! Head
over to the back of the sandcrawler.
-> Before you get there, snipe off any Tusken Raiders if you can, using the
sniper mode of the Disruptor Rifle, if you brought it with you ...
-> When Jaden ponders how she's going to get up into the sandcrawler, look up
at the winch and Force Pull it. ((( get out of its way and then jump onto
it )))
-> Wait for it to rise up again, and then jump off and onto the higher level.
Jump up onto the highest stack of crates in this area (it's pretty obvious
which one that is) to gain access to the catwalk.
-> Kill the Tusken Raider and walk around the catwalk to activate the switch.
-> This will unlock the door in the bottom-left corner of the sandcrawler's
ground floor (i.e. the level beneath the catwalk), and cause a Tusken Raider
to come out on the upper floor as well. Go back down to the floor below the
catwalk you are presently on, and enter the lift.
-> Come out of the lift, kill the Tusken Raider and head through the far door.
-> 90 Degrees left and through the next door.
-> Jaden will ask "how do I get down there ?" NOT EASY. Bear with me.
1) Walk GINGERLY off the edge as if you're going to drop into the molten
metal from about the middle of the ledge you are presently standing
upon, and then IMMEDIATELY pull back so that you fall onto the
platform UNDERNEATH the one you were just standing on.
2) 90 degrees left and to the wall, behind the console.
3) Vault up onto the pipe, then CROUCH and walk GINGERLY along the pipe
to the other side.
4) BEFORE you get to the edge - as in, JUST before ? Come off the pipe
and bounce across the magma to get to the other side. You will take
damage, but it shouldn't be insurmountable.
ALTERNATIVELY you can leap down into the molten lava and hop across making
sure to spend as LITTLE time on the lava as possible, and leap across to the
other side ... this also works ;)
ALTERNATIVELY you could follow the following handy hint from Phil Carter,
which is by FAR the most positive way to handle it :-

¦ Look down at the lava and then look at the wall on the left. There's a ¦
¦ small pipe spraying water from a leak. Throw your saber at that pipe to ¦
¦ cut it. Water pours out into the lava, cooling and hardening it. You ¦
¦ can now walk across with the greatest of ease. ¦

-> Through the door at the top of the stairs.
-> Straight forward and kill the Tusken Raiders in this area. Vault OVER the
flames at the back of the room to get to the far side. DO NOT TRY AND JUMP
OVER THE FLAMES NEAREST TO YOU AS YOU COME IN AS YOU WILL DIE.
-> Up the shallow stairs, ignore the Jawas and activate the lever.
-> 90 degrees left, then take a left and then first left to activate the lift
and go DOWN.
-> Kill the Tusken Raiders in this room and advance through it.
-> Don't use Force Push on the block directly ahead of you just yet - vault up
onto it to get a better vantage point to pick off Tusken Raiders. When you
are happy, drop down and explore the rest of this room. Kill and raiders,
and use Force Push on the SECOND huge block you come to (it's on the back
wall) to reveal the droid you seek and activate your last checkpoint on
this level.
-> USE the droid.
-> Follow the droid and protect it from Tusken Raiders. Once all the raiders
in this last section are dead, the level is over.

Bakura. Then the two of you can investigate the station. Be sure to wait for

then to through the door on the landing at the top of the stairs.
-> Kill the stormtroopers and go up the ramp. Destroy the trip-wire mines
with your blaster and then go through the door at the top and USE the bomb
to disarm it.

-> 180 degrees, through the door, back down the ramp and now turn 90 degrees
to your right and head through THAT door. Turn right and kill the

the next corridor.
-> Move past the flames and jets of steam and go through through the door at
the end.
-> Take out the gun turret and guard to your right and then go straight through
(i.e. NOT down the slope) and past the four trip-wire mines. Through the
door at the end.
-> Kill the stormtroopers and commander (MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THE KEY FROM THE
COMMANDER'S BODY) - recharge your shield from the unit if you need to -
then up the ramp at the back of the room, by where the stormtroopers were
standing. Take out the trip-wire mines with your laser before going through
the door at the end.
-> Kill the camouflaged guards and USE the explosive device to disarm it. Go
on ... don't be shy ;)

-> Turn around and go back through the door - down the stairs, left, through
the trip-wire mined corridor (kill the stormtroopers obviously), then turn
LEFT and go down the ramp. Use the control panel to the right of the door
to open it with the Commander's Key and then go through the door.
-> Kill the stormtroopers on either side of the door as you come out and then
run across the ramp ahead of you.
-> 90 degrees to the left and follow the ledge all the way around until you
get to just past the crates. (( Watch out for any HUGE explosions )) - try
and take out the stormtrooper BEFORE he gets to the stationary gun to give
yourself an easier time ?? ;)
-> Go through the door behind the stationary gun.
-> 90 degrees to the right and through the door - then across the ledge and
into the next door.
-> Take out the stormtoopers and make you way around the centre and out
through the far door.
-> Follow the ledge around to the left to the next bomb - kill all the guards
en route and then disarm the bomb by using it. Be sure to take the key
from the commander in this area he *should* be the first person that comes
running towards you as you come out the door.

-> Up and kill the guards. Then through the door on the right wall to
activate the next Checkpoint.
-> Follow the ledge around to the right and then through the door.
-> Jump across to the next ledge and go through the door in the right hand wall
-> Re-charge your shield if needs be, and then go right, into the room, and
disarm the 4th bomb.

Kyle is away with Rosh. Take a shuttle, land at the coordinates of the
distress beacon, and pick up any survivors."

encounter on Blenjeel WILL descend into the sand if you stand on them ... THIS
means that you have to make sure you DON'T assume that JUST because you're
standing on a rock, it's safe. NEVER assume you're safe on Blenjeel.
Right ! We're off. This level is brief, but fiddly ... ready ?
-> Turn slightly to your left and climb onto the first piece of metal. TRY
AND AVOID TOUCHING THE SAND WHEREVER POSSIBLE - it attracts the sand
burrowers ;)
-> Jump across to what looks like a camera - then follow the shaft portion to
the right.
-> Hop across to the left under the orange video display, and keep following
the ledge.
-> Jump down and across to the open ship ahead of you.
-> Ascend the crates at the back on the right and then jump up onto the ledge
and make your way forward and left to get to the door at the back.
-> Enter, go right and drop down into the exposed floor section just ahead of
you to pick up the Power Converter.
-> Hop up and look out of the hole in the ship ahead of you. You see your ship
to the right ?
-> ACTIVATE FORCE SPEED and LEG IT to your ship, jumping from piece to piece
wherever possible.
-> As you enter your ship, the power converter goes to the left - it's the
right hand piece of the two pieces that are missing ;)

-> Back out of your ship.
-> Move across to the right, to the rear thruster of your ship.
-> Across to the grey rock.
-> Same route as before - sharp pointed bit > camera > shaft > orange video

-> INSTEAD of activating force speed and running back to your ship, however,
look LEFT. See that section of ship wreckage nearest you ? Force Pull
that, and then hop down onto it.
-> Move from that section to the small grey piece > wingnut > cube, and then
up onto the very steep bit beside it - the bit that it looks like you won't
be able to climb ?? You will ;)
-> Climb it to the top and then drop down to the left and onto the small
platform beneath.
-> Onto the ship's rear thruster and then up onto the back of the ship -
you'll see its white markings ;)
-> Go over to the RIGHT hand side of the ship ... see the little object you
need to pick up on the dune inbetween the cube and the rocks ? Force
Speed, jump, grab it and run back to the ship ASAP. This piece is the
Power Coupling, and it goes to the right as you come back on board your
ship.

TIME FOR THE THIRD PIECE.

-> SAVE AGAIN
-> Same directions as before. Come out of your ship > rear thruster > grey
rock > sharp pointed bit > camera > shaft > orange video screen > ledge >
hop back across to ship > crates > walkway > door > right > through to the
exit again.
-> THIS time we're going to drop out of the ship and head straight forward,
and hop onto the section of ship wreckage to the left of the big rock
directly ahead of you.
-> 180 degrees and look to your right - see the third piece way off in the
distance ??
-> Jump from the piece you are on > cube > rock > cube > rock. Then run along
this long rock, grab the third piece (the Damper) and run back to the ship
with force speed ASAP.
-> You MAY want to stop and recharge your force meter at least once during
this trip back to the ship ;)
-> The Damper goes in the remaining slot to your left as you come back into
your ship.

NOW FOR THE FOURTH AND FINAL PIECE AND THEN WE CAN LEAVE THIS GOD FORSAKEN

-> Come out of your ship. Use Force Sense and look straight forward ... see
that tiny little blue glow ? THAT, my friend, is your fourth and final
piece. Deactivate Force Sense (by pressing the same button again whilst

Speed and charge straight forward. Jump onto that lightly coloured rock
and IMMEDIATELY vault off it to land on the bigger rock behind it (as the
lightly coloured rock will sink into the sand as soon as you touch it).
-> Climb to the top of this rock and look over the right hand side of it and
down, to see the elusive fourth component.
-> Drop down, grab it and LEG IT back to the ship.
-> This, the Energy Cell, goes in the final place. Go into your ship, then
through the INNER door and put it in the slot on the right.

MISSION START

CUTSCENE - Kyle and Jaden are en route to their destination, chatting away,
and they are interrupted by a distress call from a Tram, which says that
terrorists are trying to destroy it ! Kyle drops you off on the tram and
tells you to secure it whilst he takes care of the ships ...
==============================================================================
-> From your starting point, vault up onto the small conduit to your right and
thereafter up onto the roof.
-> Keep going and take out the first guard. He is carrying an E-11 Blaster
Rifle which you can pick up ;)
-> Keep going and take out the second guard - take his Wookiee Bowcaster.
-> Look down and see the electrically charged coupling leading to the next
section of the tram ... you are going to have to turn it off.
-> Drop down to WELL before it, do a 180 and head back into the first tram.
-> Kill the goons in here and activate the switch on the left at the back
(i.e. AAAALLLLLLL the way down and at the back) to disrupt the power flow
to the second tram.
-> Head back out towards the second tram.
-> As you come out, pause with your lightsaber drawn and marvel as the rain
sparks off your lightsaber.
-> sigh
-> Move across GINGERLY to the second tram using either the left or right
glowing red shaft.
-> Hop up onto the roof of the second tram to see the terrorists ship whizzing
past, ably followed by Kyle.
-> Drop down and jump across DIAGONALLY to the third tram section (where you
will be under cover from the upper portion somewhat).
-> Make your way to the upper floor of this section and take out the bad guys
up here.
-> Vault across to the fourth tram section and battle the Dark Jedi (he may
fall into the tram car itself, in which case you should still drop down and
take him out).
-> Get out at the far end of this section of the tram if you fell in -
otherwise walk along the struts to the back of this car, drop down and
vault DIAGONALLY across to the fifth
tram section.
-> Enter this tram section, kill the villainous scum inside and head out the
other door.
-> Again, vault DIAGONALLY across to the sixth section, do a 180 and shoot
the guard on the roof of the fifth section to avoid taking any unecessary
damage here ;)
-> Work your way around to the front of this section of the tram and then
jump diagonally across to the seventh section of the tram, killing the
guards as you do so.
-> Move to the right of this section of the tram and enter. If for ANY
reason you cannot enter, move to the front of this section of the tram to
activate dialogue and then come back and try the door again. Go in and
blast the baddies to b*llocks.
-> Use the lift on this floor to get up to the next area - you will see a
shielded compartment ahead of you that you need to get into. Shoot the
control panels on either side to deactivate the force-field and then kill
the losers inside. Jump up and exit via the glass roof here.
-> Use one of the two grey cylindrical pipes to get across to the next
section and keep pressing forward until you see Kyle destroy the terrorist
ship. Keep moving forward.
-> Across the single grey cylindrical pipe and up onto the top of the tank in
the next area.
-> Drop gingerly down, then vault across and leg it up the slope to take out
the Rodian with the DXR-6 Disruptor.
-> Jump across onto the centre section of the next bit, run across to the
other side, jump off it and take out the guard.
-> Down the slope and jump diagonally across to the next section of the tram
car.

CHECKPOINT AUTOMATICALLY SAVED

Jaden tells Kyle that there is a BOMB on the tram (!!) ... he tells her to
deactivate it PRONTO as you are about to enter a heavily populated area.

-> Move towards the bomb and take out the villain in the area PLUS the Dark
Jedi who shows up too.
-> Move forward and you will hear the tram speed up. Kyle tells you that he
thinks the terrorists plan to ram it into the station !?!?! You will need
to keep moving forward to the front of the tram and slam on the brakes.
-> Out the back of this section and vault diagonally across onto the next
section.
-> Take out the goons here and then vault diagonally across to the NEXT
section.
-> Keep heading toward the front of the Tram ... before you can enter the
final area and shut down the power to the engines you will need to take out
one more Dark Jedi, plus some laser-wielding morons. Do so with ease, for
you are a JEDI.
-> Power down the tram, using the control panel in the front section =D

CUTSCENE
Back at the Academy, Master Skywalker confirms that somebody has sliced into
his personal records and accessed data on areas where he has felt a strong
connection to the force.
Places like Cloud City, Hoth and Byss.
Skywalker believes that it is the cult's plan to siphon off force energy from
the areas they have visited - for what purpose, he cannot say. He believes
that the staff they were using is one of a set of ancient relics designed for
this purpose.
In an effort to thwart their plans, Skywalker orders all his students (and
teachers alike) to head off to try and intercept the Cult BEFORE they drain
any more force energy.
Kyle is sent to the Valley of the Jedi.
Rosh is sent to the ruins of Byss
Jaden is sent to Hoth

BRIEFING
You are to travel to Hoth, where Master Skywalker has had a vision of Obi-Wan
Kenobi, and ascertain whether the Cult have already been there and, if so,
whether they have bled the area of its force energy.
If they have not, you are to stop them. If they have, report back to the
Academy.

As Jaden arrives on Hoth in her ship, she tries to feel for force energy, and
senses nothing.

MISSION STARTS.
-> Go up to one of the Taun Taun's and press the USE button to vault up onto
it.
-> Run towards the glowing white light in the distance (it's almost at right-
angles to the way your ship is pointing)
-> Follow the line of white lights until you come to a clearing - take out all
the Imperial troopers in the area and move on.
-> Advance to the next area and do the same again - THIS TIME making sure to
take out the stormtrooper who will advance to the stationary gun on your
left when he sees you approaching.
-> Move to the rocks just to the left of what looks like a large chinese
lantern, and jump off the Taun Taun. Then jump over the rocks. As you
advance into the next area you will see the sign of a Wampa (a really
big buff monster) off to your right ...
Jaden will say "I don't wanna hurt you" (fat chance luv - ROAST THAT
MUTHA !!!!!)

HINT: One of the easiest ways to kill him is to freak out as he's holding
you aloft in his paw, swing like MAD, and cut his arm off ;)

"For the Hoth mission, I found the easiest (read: cheapest) way to kill the
Wampa was not to directly engage him; but to lure him to the tunnel entrance
and use the tripod-mounted heavy gun on him..."

-> Once he has died go down the path he was guarding to access a secret area.
Then take the OTHER path and move onward until you see the NEXT white light.
Stop here and take out the stormtroopers in the area (beginning to see a
pattern to the early part of this level ??)
-> Take another Taun Taun and follow the lights to the LEFT to activate another
checkpoint. Clear out the stormtroopers here before moving on.
-> Move forward, but keep your eyes open for a stationary gun. There is a
Scoutwalker in the area and you will need the gun to take it out (aim for
the head).
-> Once the Scoutwalker has been destroyed, head to the RIGHT hand side of the
wall ahead of you, and jump up and over it using the crates wedged in the
snow to the right.
-> Take out the drone and the guards, and head through the large automatic
door at the back of this area.
-> Take out the Stormtroopers and head RIGHT (the lift goes UP) ;)
-> Kill all the guards in the area and force push the glass wall at the back
to gain access to a secret area.
-> Go back into the area you just came from, and activate the switch on the
(now RIGHT hand) wall. This will open the doorway in the previous room.
-> Head out of this room and call the lift. Take it down to the level below,
and then head straight ahead of you, round the pillar and down the lift on
the other side.
-> Do a 180, pacify this room and then head through the (now open) door at the
rear.
-> Listen to the guards talking about racing. Then go through the door and
slay them.
-> There is only one door that leads out of this room, and that is to the left
of the door leading INTO the room. Use the door and move into the next
room.
-> Move through and into the next area - there are THREE ways out of here -
straight ahead of you, left and right. Go straight ahead - the other two
are dead ends.
-> Clear this room and use the exit to activate a checkpoint.
-> There is a lift in the back of the next room - use it and go up. Do a 180
whilst you are on the lift and clear out the bad guys in the large, open
room you find yourself in.
-> Exit through the large door and enter the icy canyon outside.
-> Go straight ahead of you and grab the stationary gun as soon as you can.
Keep it pointing straight forward (the direction it's in when you get it),
and WAPORISE all the bad guys that pour forth towards you.
-> Leave the gun and move forward, and Jaden will say "I guess I should keep
following the beacons". God she's bright. Now, the beacons arc to the
left ... you can either follow them OR do as I did, which is basically to
bum-rush the ARSE holding the stationary gun 'coz he starts firing at you
a LOOOOONG time before you'd reach him if you went all the way around.
-> Jaden asks why they would be guarding 'this heap of junk' I believe were
her exact words. All will soon be clear ;)
-> Take the stationary gun and clean out the area. Then leave it and move on.
You will want to drop off the back of the area where the gun is mounted,
and take out the forcefield (wipe out both the rods on either side to gain
entry).
-> Enter the area that was protected by the forcefield - you will have to
most likely take a light sabre to the rods, and then jump and crouch to
get through (or do a forward roll for combat-stylee effect), and then kill
the guards.
-> Drop down the ladder to the right of the door, do a 180, kill the guards
and drop through the hole at the end of the room to enter ...

LEVEL 1 - FINAL MISSION
HOTH - PART TWO
-----------------------
-> You will start facing a biiiiiiig downward-curving tunnel in the ice.
Enter it.
-> Keep dropping down until you land on the crate.
-> If you look down from the crate, you will see a group of three storm
troopers chatting, and you can hear what they are saying. It turns out
that word of your having taken out the perimeter guard has reached the
internal guard. If you wait a bit longer you will also hear them say
that a bunch of Sith Fanatics have taken over the control centre. Hmmmm.
-> Drop down (carefully) and take out the guards.
-> Once the room has been pacified, head to the wall that has a stationary
gun, a green door and a red door. Take control of the gun, turn it towards
the green door, and then leave it. Open the green door, and then head back
to the gun. As the guards come through the door, wipe them out ...
... all ... of ... them ... ;)
-> Once they are dead, head through the door again, and round to the right.
Before entering the next room, listen to the guards dialogue.
-> The guards are talking in the hollowed-out area in front of you. You CAN
drop down and take them out - basically they are talking about the
possibility of there being Wampas on the base. Kill them all.
-> There are two ways out of the far-side of this room - the one to the right
as you are coming up the slope leads to a secret area and a group of
stormtroopers. The one to the left is the one you need to take to further
the level.
-> I would suggest using Force Speed to narrow the gap between you and the
Stormtrooper with the stationary gun, as you round the corner. Kill all
the Stormtroopers in the area and enter the next room.
-> You should hear the sound of bubbling liquid as you enter this room. Kill
the Stormtroopers and move on.
-> Follow the room around to the right, and then go through the door on the
right.
-> Straight through and kill the Stormtroopers in the next room.
-> Head AROUND the central column (it's a lift) and take the lift up. This
will activate a new checkpoint.
-> Kill the guards in the next room and then head out the left side of the
room.
-> Activate Force Speed just as you enter the next room and leg it for the guy
with the stationary gun. Kill him and the other Stormtroopers in the area.
Then head out the right hand side of the room.
-> Kill the guards in the next room and head through the door in the right
wall to activate another checkpoint.
-> Head through the small door, left, left and through the other small door.
-> Turn right and head through the door in the right wall (killing Storm
troopers as you go), down the steps and through the door at the end.
-> Turn left, left, up the ramp, right, and straight into the next room,
where there are (RATHER handily) two rechargers for you.
-> Use the lift beside the shield recharger and go down.
-> Head through the arch to the left, then straight to the end and turn
right - AGAIN, killing Stormtroopers as you go.
-> Straight to the end and turn right. This will activate ...

CUTSCENE - One of the Disciples of Ragnos broadcasts to Alora. He says that
he has completed a download of the data, and the computer's flight logs show
that Rogue Leader left Hoth for Dagobah.

-> SAVE NOW PLEASE
-> Slay the Disciple of Ragnos, and move on.
-> Head through the archway in the far left corner of the room, and follow the
corridor right, then left and finally STRAIGHT into the next room, where
you will have to fight a Wampa (same rules apply)
-> Head out the archway at the back and down. Use BOTH rechargers (the
checkpoint will activate automatically), and save AS SOON AS YOU OPEN THE
DOORS. Going in will activate ...

CUTSCENE - Alora confirms to her Master that Master Skywalker went to Dagobah
and her Master confirms that she is to meet her there.
Alora spots you, and belittles you, before entering hand-to-hand combat
with you.

BOSS FIGHT
A L O R A
Alora likes to attack from side-angles, and use cartwheels. She is armed with
a single red light-saber, but can use force powers as well. She is quite a
tough opponent.
I would suggest (because you SHOULD be at full health and have at LEAST 75%
shield energy from the recharger outside) that you focus on assaulting her with
your lightsaber, because most laser-weapon-based attacks will not work.
Whilst you can charge into her and use multiple attacks, ALWAYS be prepared to
back off if she starts to lay into you. Sweep past her and lunge to the side
whilst attacking - that sort of thing. The fight will take a while to complete,
but see it through and you'll be sound.
Once she has taken enough of a beating, another cutscene is activated.

CUTSCENE - Alora escapes, and the action returns to the Jedi Academy. Master
Skywalker confirms that Master Yoda hid on Dagobah, knowing his presence would
be masked by the strong darkside aura of the planet.
Kyle asks whether you found anything, and you confirm that the Disciples of
Ragnos must have already drained the Force Energy from there.
Luke says that it's the same as others have reported at other sites, including
Endor and Coruscant.
Luke asks Kyle whether there has been any word from Rosh on Byss. Kyle advises
that he has heard nothing, and that Rosh's report is now long overdue.
Luke taps into the Force to glean that Rosh is still alive, and Kyle decides
to use some of his contacts to get into Byss and see what's going on.
You pipe up that you want to go too, as Rosh is your friend, but both Luke
AND Kyle would rather you stay at the Academy, and further your training.
To that end, Luke promotes you to Apprentice, and you begin your SECOND your
of missions !!

HOWEVER, BEFORE you are able to move on, you must pick a SECOND fighting
style for your light sabre.

CHOOSING YOUR SECOND LIGHTSABER FIGHTING STANCE
You may recall that Kyle commented when you were originally training that you
would be able to learn additional fighting styles as time progressed ? Well
he wasn't lying. There are THREE fighting styles - fast, medium and strong.
Medium you automatically begin with, and that's the style you've been using
up until now. NOW you get to pick a second style to go with it - so you have
either fast or strong to pick from.
Here are their descriptions for you :-
FAST
Fast and efficient, but with limited range. Short, quick motions allow for
multiple attacks but with limited damage. This style can be chained
indefinitely. It utilises a defensive stance in which the Jedi holds his saber
across his front in a ready position to fend off attacks or make quick jabs.
Represented by a blue bar on the right side of the HUD.
STRONG
Uses powerful strikes to batter through defenses. This style incorporates
great range and power, but often leaves the Jedi open for counter attack. It
utilises a powerful, aggressive stance in which the Jedi holds his saber high
and back, ready to go into a heavy swing. Represented by a red bar on the
right side of the HUD.
I personally prefer fast over strong, but it REALLY is a matter of personal
taste. I find that strong leaves you open to counterattack, which I don't
like.
Without further ado, it's time to start your SECOND tour of duty for the Jedi
Academy ! THIS time as an Apprentice !! =)
Before we go on, I should point out that all your CORE Force Powers now level

BRIEFING
"We have received word from a mining guild on Nar Kreeta that a number of elders
are held captive by the local Hutt crimelord. These elders went to negotiate
a treaty with the Hutt, but never returned. The crimelord claims no one
ever came to see him."
DROID - "Master Katarn has informed me that he is continuing his investigation
of Rosh Penin's disappearance near Nar Kreeta and can assist you on this
mission."

PREPARATION
Whilst this mission is again, reasonably quick ? I am going to sink a second
point into Force Healing, just because it will enable me to move around a
bit, and I like that.

MISSION STARTS.

You start this mission hanging from the edge of a pipe tunnel. You
automatically flip up and into the tunnel, and Kyle flies past in his ship
to give you your instructions. You are to find and free the Elders, so that
they can come to this point for pick-up.
==============================================================================
-> Head forward and turn left. Use whatever takes your fancy to get through
the grate, and then crouch and move forward.
-> Keep moving forward and then listen to the guards talking about the bet
one of them has just placed on the Rancor games. Wtf ? They have a
Rancor here ??
-> Hack through the grate and kill the guards in the hallway. Then head down
the hall and turn RIGHT and go up the ramp.
-> Kill all the guards you come across, and turn left by the green central
column, then right, run forward and right (past the thermal detonator that
gets thrown at you), and keep moving forward and killing all the bad guys
in the area until you slay the Commander and take his Security Card. Use
the card in the door to lead you back to your starting point. You have now
cleared the path for the Elders to go back to the ship once you free them.

Now to free them ...

-> Head back to the corridor where you started slaying the guards (so either
double-back on yourself to get to the corridor, or go directly forward from
having opened the door, crawl through the grate and then leg it forward and
drop down into the corridor again).
-> Head down the corridor and take a LEFT this time. Slay the guards and
secure the area.
-> You are now in one of the MAIN areas of this level - it's a roughly
circular room with a pillar in the middle, a lift on the right, and a door
on the left.

Now ... a quick explanation before we proceed ... there are FOUR sets of Elders
to release. One of them is accessed via the lift to your RIGHT; the other
FOUR are accessed via the door to your LEFT. You need a key to go left, so
we will go right to GET that key ...

-> Head right and take the lift.
-> Kill the guards in the room and activate the switch ahead of you to activate
a ...
==============================================================================
CUTSCENE - The shutters open, and the first set of Elders is released into
the Rancor pen.
==============================================================================
-> Jump up onto the ledge and crouch to forward-roll down into the Rancor
pen. Then turn right and run to the Elders (they are right beside you).
==============================================================================
CUTSCENE - One of the Elders calls to you to help them escape before the
Rancor comes. Enter the Rancor.
==============================================================================

QUICK NOTE ABOUT THE RANCOR (modified by Phil Carter's comments)
Sinister says :-
He is a) hungry, and b) horny. So run from him. The basic concept of this
level is that you DISTRACT the Rancor so as to enable the Elders to escape.
Simple, non ?
I didn't think that the Rancor could be slain, but Phil says :-
You CAN kill him, given enough time (an easy way to do this is to back into
the "safe" tunnel, then throw your lightsaber at him and keep it out there,
spinning and cutting him up, till it automatically returns. Repeat until he
keels over). The problem is that when you "kill" him, he will reappear
elsewhere in the lair, and will do this no matter how many times you waste
him, so you're wasting your time by doing it.

COMMENTS REGARDING THE COLOURED ARROWS (kindly provided by Chris)
A quick reference for those running around the holding cells and trying to
dodge the hungry hungry rancor is that the golden arrows on the walls point
towards the exit door.

-> From where the cutscene ENDS, turn left and head through the door - the
Elders will follow you (they're stupid enough to try and barter for peace
with a Hutt, but not so stupid as to stand in the path of a rampaging
Rancor). Keep running and you'll see the Rancor cannot follow you - the
archway is too small.
-> Talk to the Elders (who have now stopped in the hallway) and they will ask
you whether the way to your ship is now clear (which it is), and give you
a key to get through the door on the LEFT in that main room.
-> Turn around and take the left to get back to that room with the column in
it.
-> Use the security key on the door and go through. Walk up the sign and
you will find you're standing on a lift that will take you down. Get ready
to kick some tail ;)
-> You enter a bar with some Gran in it. Slay them and work your way
around the bar to the right. Jaden will comment that this whole place is
some kind of ... betting parlour !

at the big marked, shockingly, 'door'. The three points to release the
Elders are marked A, B and C rather helpfully. So I'm going to go through
them in order for you.

NOTE BEFORE WE PROCEED
EVERY time you go back through the bar after activating one of these switches,
the patrons become more tough, so BE WARNED ;)

-> So, turning 90 degrees to your left and heading straight forward, we come
to the lift (that takes us UP by the way) that leads to the second of the
four switches you need to activate on the level.
-> Kill the guards and then activate the switch directly in front of you
==============================================================================
CUTSCENE - Shutters open up as the second set of Elders is released into
the Rancor pen.
==============================================================================
-> Vault up onto the ledge ahead of you and crouch and move forward to roll
down into the Rancor pen.
-> Head directly forward to 'activate' this second set of Elders. The Elders
will automatically head towards the exit. So follow them, and IF you see
the Rancor ? Distract him - best way is usually to use Force Speed to
get past him and hit him a couple times with your light sabre to get his
attention. He will follow the closest character to him, so if one of the
Elders draws closer to him than you are ? He will turn and follow the
Elder. DO NOT LET HIM KILL OR EAT ANY OF THE ELDERS OR YOU LOOOOOOOOOSE.

soon as they get through the archway, they will run straight for the exit.
-> Once you have ushered the second set of Elders through the archway (tip: if
you are getting worried that you've distracted the Rancor and you haven't
been able to keep tabs on how many of the Elders have escaped ? Press
TAB to call up your objectives list - it will tell you there - there are
FOUR Elders each time, don't forget that ... so you'll have completed each
objective when it reads "You have saved 4/8/12/16 prisoners" respectively.

the door on the left and run forward and take the lift down to the bar
again.
-> THIS time the goons in the bar have set up explosives. Deactivate them by
shooting the mines themselves, and move around the bar and through the far

use a combination of force speed and jumps to either side of the hall to
throw his aim off balance. Kill him and the other guards in the area, and
move onto the lift.

worker and find out what he knows.

have no difficulties with this particular mission."

CUTSCENE - Jaden barters for the purchase of a speedbike (and ... not
surprisingly ... wins).

Hokay. This level is ALLLLLL about speedbiking. The BEST weapon to use
whilst you are whizzing along is the Lightsaber - you can use it to cut your
enemies speedbikes to RIBBONS (and it's much much fun).
Since the level is VERY swift I can see no real point in giving you MASSES of
specific directions as in many cases you can go AROUND objects to get to the
same point on the other side. Therefore my directions for this level will
be somewhat more sparse.
Ready ??

-> From your start, DRAW YOUR LIGHTSABER and then go (on the bike) down the
steps and left.
-> Follow the path through the ravine (it goes through several arches and veers
left) until you come to what APPEARS to be a dead-end, with an archway in
the wall up off the floor ? Jump off the bike and leap up onto that arch.
-> Drop out the other side and head to the nearby building to meet with the
Informant.

CUTSCENE - You approach the Informant and tell him to spill his guts to you
ASAP, as you ran into trouble and you think it might be following you.
He tells you that you should both go inside to discuss matters further, and
he is promptly shot by a disruptor beam, and dies in your arms.
With a cry of "Sithspit !" you run into the nearby building and resume control
of your character.

-> Use the nearby rechargers and then head out the door beside them. You will
activate a checkpoint. Take another speedbike and leg it down the ramp and
off into the distance. Make sure to draw your lightsaber and cut the
other bikes to ribbons as they approach you. Veer from side to side to
avoid the laser blasts.
-> Head through what look like the bare ribs of a dead beast.
-> Head past the obelisks and through the ravine.
-> Head under the bridge, then right and through another set of ribs.
-> Head through the archway in the wall and onto the water.
-> Keep to the left as you come off the water and head into the ravine.
-> Head under the bridge and then through the archway in the wall. Take a
left and you will come upon an archway in a wall to your left between two
obelisks. Take it.
-> Through several more sets of ribs around to the right.
-> Past a dishevelled building to your left (curve right).
-> To the left of a temple, then around behind it and straight through another
ravine.
-> Use turbo (your second-weapon function whilst riding the bike) to jump
the chasm when instructed.
-> Through some more ribs. Valley then curves sharp left.
-> Keep riding up to the steps

plan in which he and a single ground troop could capture the entire facility.
General Antilles believes that only a Jedi could accomplish the ground portion
of the mission."
WEDGE : "Thanks for the assistance, Jaden. Luke tells me you're going to be
a great Jedi. Let's get to Kril'dor and take out that mining platform!"

In this level there is quite a bit of running around, so I would suggest

-> Turn to the HUGE door to your left and walk towards it to open it. Clear
out the room of the innumerate bad guys, and then take the lift in the
far right-hand corner to get to the first floor.
-> Take out the gun turret directly above you ASAP, and then kill the guards
in the area.
-> Do a 180 and take the lift in the far right-hand corner to get to the
second floor.
-> Go through the door and kill the flying stormtrooper.
-> Go forward and take the catwalk on your left to get to the top of the
Shield Generator. Press the USE button on the red outline of the bomb to
place it.

CUTSCENE - Jaden legs it as Wedge blows apart the Shield Generator.
Wedge then tells you to put a beacon in the hanger, so that they cannot
scramble air support.
Sounds like a plan !

Wedge next instructs that you plant a beacon on the Garrison, to weaken their

-> Head around the massive twin gun in front of you, and vault up ONTO the
door behind it. Then up onto the roof, and finally plant another charge
where directed on the roof of this building.

CUTSCENE - Wedge circles around to drop a bomb on your charge, whilst Jaden
legs it off the roof.
Wedge tells you that your next objective is the Communications Array, so that
they cannot signal for help.
We're taking 'em apart !! =)

-> Do a 180 and vault back up onto the door frame again - then up onto the
roof of the now-destroyed Garrison. Past the place where the previous
beacon was, up onto the destroyed pipe, and then onto the roof behind it.
-> Make sure you're at full health and then drop down onto the ledge right
next to the building (as in, drop off and pull straight back), and then
drop down onto the catwalk. On normal difficulty this will take up about
60% of your health, so MAKE SURE that you heal up before moving on.
-> Run forward, kill the guards and then run around to the right.
-> Look up as you're running along the catwalk - see the huge radar dish on
top of the building you're approaching ? THAT is your next target.
-> There's no point trying to get into that building at ground level, as the
door is locked. Follow the catwalk to the left. Go to the right of the
lift with the sparking panel. Take the door opposite the huge red
storage tanks (it's on your left).
-> Take the lift on your left to get up one floor, then around to the right
to get up another floor.
-> Head left and activate the green switch on the wall to open one of the
shutters. Use your Lightsaber on the broken glass to smash it totally, and
then VERY gingerly jump up onto the ledge.
-> Walk out onto the ledge outside and the shutter will close behind you. DO
NOT PANIC.
-> Turn either left OR right (doesn't matter) and jump up onto the orange
support beam. Then jump up onto the roof.
-> From the roof move around to the side that faces the building with the
huge radar dish. Drop down from the roof and land on the ledge ABOVE the
catwalk (smaller falls = less damage) ;) Then drop down onto the catwalk,
and HEAL before continuing.
-> Run forward, and place your beacon to the left of the Radar dish to signal
Wedge for his next attack run.

CUTSCENE - Wedge flies by and destroys the Radar dish.
Wedge then tells you to plant a beacon at the base of the Power Generator, so
that you can disable the Turbo Lasers.

-> Kill the flying stormtrooper.
-> Take the nearby lift to get down to the main level again.
-> Turn right and head AROUND the catwalk you are currently on, past the
first turn on your left (which is kinda directly in front of you as you
come off the catwalk). As the huge red storage tanks come into view, STOP.
-> Turn left and look down - you should see the catwalk running underneath you.
Drop down onto it. Run forward to the lift and take it down. Then turn
LEFT and run around the catwalk to place your penultimate bomb.

CUTSCENE - Wedge flies past and destroys a bit of where you were standing.
Wedge then tells you to place your LAST bomb in the Command Centre.

-> Run forward and around the catwalk. Activate the button by the lift, and
wait for it to come down. Then ride it up to the level above.
-> Kill the two flying stormtroopers.
-> Run forward and through the door. Then turn left and go PAST the hole
where the lift should be, to activate the panel to call the lift down.
-> Ride the lift up. Then turn left and go through the nearby door.
-> Turn right, run around the walkway, past the lift with the broken switch,
and take the first catwalk on your left. Follow it around to the right and
run forward. Look up as you're running - see the building ahead of you
with the shutter on the first floor left-hand side ? THAT'S your final
bomb-destination. GOGOGOGOGOGO !! =D
-> Run forward and enter the building. Then turn right and use the nearby
lift.
-> Do a 180 whilst you're on the lift and prepare to battle the baddies in
the control room. There is a dark jedi in here, so beware. PLUS to your
right as you come through the door there is a stationary gun. There is a
further stationary gun in the far left-hand corner of the room.

the USE button where the bomb is to activate the cutscene ;)

Go through the doorway to your right to activate a checkpoint.
-> Run forward, then to your left (sharp left), then right past the lift with
the dodgy switch. When you get to the first set of storage containers to
your right, run through them and follow the catwalk around to the right.
-> Right again and around the back of this building to deactivate the first
bomb.

-> Run back along the catwalk you just took, and then around the right-hand
side of the building ahead of you to disable the SECOND bomb.

You arrive on Coruscant, and are walking across the walkway to gain access to
Lannik Racto's building, when the doors open ahead of you. Racto, obviously
knowing what you have planned, chastises you and destroys the bridge between
you with explosives.
RUMBLED !! =(
Hokay you little TURD. Let's get one thing straight. WE *points to you and
himself* are Jedi - YOU are going DOOOOOOOWN. Grrrrrrrrr.

-> Do a 180 and jump over the nearest wing of your Z-95. Then jump off the
ledge in back of it and land on the ledge on the nearby building.
-> Follow this ledge around to the right until you see a Rodian on a hovercar
to your right. Jump onto it and slay him. Then jump onto the side of it
and across to the building on the other side.
-> Head to your left and up the stairs. Turn left and up the next set of
stairs and then jump off directly ahead of you and land on the ledge on the
NEXT building.
-> Follow this ledge by turning left and then following it around to the right.
Keep going straight and jump up onto the platform at the far end. Be
very careful as there is a Gran who insists on chucking thermal
detonators at you, and he is QUITE accurate.
-> As you land on the ledge you've just jumped onto, turn 90 degrees to your
left and run forward. Be careful as there is an Assassin Droid behind the
crates to your right.

QUICK HINT ON ASSASSIN DROIDS.
NEVER ... E-V-E-R touch one whilst his shield is up. You will die VERY very
quickly. Wait for his shield to fall and then hit him a couple times. Rinse
and repeat until he is dead.
IF, however, you have the COOLNESS of Force Lightning Level 3 to back you up ?
You can just ROAST the mutha and move on.

-> Drop down onto the ledge with the green speeder. Run past the speeder and
kill the guards.
-> Enter the building and stand in the centre (between the two pillars) - this
is a lift. Ride it up.
-> Turn and run down the long corridor with the coloured screens on either
side. Be careful as there is another Assassin Droid at the end of this
corridor.
-> Kill the Assassin Droid and go past him. Jump down onto the next level
with the two speeders, and plenty of forcefields.
-> Keep moving forward, and then take a right turn. Move forward and slay
all the guards as you go.
-> Vault off the end and engage the Assassin Droid with GUSTO.
-> Turn right and jump across to the next building. Run forward and ... see
that TINY little ledge on the right-hand side of the wall in front of you ?
You need to jump up onto THAT and keep running.
-> Drop off the far side and VOILA. You have arrived on the OTHER side of the
bridge that Lacto just destroyed.
-> Turn left and head through the main door to activate a checkpoint.
-> Battle the Dark Jedi Team.

QUICK HINT ON DARK JEDI TEAMS
When I refer to a 'Dark Jedi Team' I mean a team of TWO Dark Jedi - one of
whom wields a lightsaber, and the OTHER of whom is weaponless, but stronger
in force powers. Kill the unarmed one first. ALWAYS. He is a bigger threat,
as he will force grip you during combat and otherwise make a general nuisance
of himself. THEN focus on the weapon-wielder.

-> Kill them both, then head forward and take the turning on your right. Go
through the door with five diamonds on it. Step on the lift and do a 180.
==============================================================================
CUTSCENE - You enter Racto's private chambers. He is genuinely shocked to see
you, but it would appear he still has a few tricks up his sleeve. He pushes a
button on the console in front of him, and a door opens behind you revealing
FOUR Assassin Droids. A blast-screen then slams shut between you and Racto.

You have to kill all four of these Assassin droids to proceed. Bummer !!
IF you have Force Lightning Level 3 I would suggest charging them and using
it whilst they are all still in close proximity.
If you DON'T have Force Lightning Level 3 then you will have to focus on
taking them out one at a time. Just remember the tried-and-tested technique.
1) NEVER attack them while their shield is up
2) NEVER touch them while their shield is up
3) NEVER try and get in more than 2 attacks whilst their shield is down.
Once they are all dead, you get a ...

Since this level will involve NOT having a Lightsaber, having a strong
offensive Force Power will prove very useful.
HOWEVER, I should point out that on the NEXT level there is a form of acid rain
that can be a REAL pain in the bum, and opting for at least ONE point in the
Force Protection power will help you get through the acid rain without taking
damage ... juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust a thought (thanks to Phil Carter
for that) ;)

MISSION STARTS.
==============================================================================
You land on Dosuun, and are walking through tall grasses when you sense that
something is wrong. FIVE stealth-camouflaged guards materialise around you,
and their leader calls for you to drop your "laser sword" or suffer the
consequences.
They take you prisoner. The leader tells you that in order to entertain him,
he will release you from your prison and you can try to escape. If you reach
your ship you may leave. If you are caught ? You will die.
Given the options, you go with his suggestion. HOWEVER, he has taken not only
all your weapons, but your bloody Lightsaber as well !!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

-> Jump up and out of your cell.
-> Head into the light-grey room (door access on the far side), and grab an
E-11 Blaster from the wall before heading through the door.
-> SH!T ! We've been spotted. Turn left coming out the door and waste the
Stormtroopers. Duck back into the door for cover if you need to. As with
most enemies, aim for the head - they'll fall faster.
-> Move around the walkway to the left. Keep going until you get a

CUTSCENE - The Leader appears on a ledge to your LEFT and says "Huh. You Jedi
certainly are quick", before opening fire on you with a Stouker Concussion
Rifle.
==============================================================================
-> Make your way through the green door on your right.
==============================================================================
INTERCOM - The Leader alerts the guard that you have escaped, and raises the
alarm.
==============================================================================
-> Destroy the laser shield to the left and take out the guards AND the
stationary turret. You will then be able to remove the Golan Arms FC1
Flechette Weapon from the guard at the end of the hallway.
-> Do a 180 and head towards the laser tripmines. Destroy them and move on.
-> Enter the room behind where the mines were and kill the occupants to get
the Security Key. Use the recharger here also.
-> Exit the room and run down to the end of the hall. Use the switch on the
left-hand side of the room (now that you have the security key) and enter.
-> Kill the guards on the ground floor, then turn left, head up the stairs
and activate the switch.
-> Come back down the stairs and go to the far side of the room. Stand on
the very thin lift and ascend. Do a 180 whilst you're on the lift.
-> Kill the guard and exit. Run straight across the hallway and through the
other door.
-> Run straight through the next room as well, and then kill the Stormtroopers
in the room you find yourself in (a large room with a central control
panel, and glass windows and a sliding door in the back wall).
-> Run up to the central console and activate the switch to deactivate the
security lockdown. Jaden comments that all she now needs to do is find
the hangar.
-> Run directly forward from where you activated the switch towards the trip-
mines. Destroy them and head through the door behind where they were.

ALL THE DOORS ARE NOW OPEN.
==============================================================================
-> Kill the Stormtroopers in the next room and then head forward but instead
of going through the door at the end of the room, take one of the doors
just before it to either the left or right (they are both lifts).
-> Ride the lift back down to the ground floor, and when you come out, turn
and face the furthest door from you. Looking at THAT door, take the
first door on your LEFT, and then the door directly ahead of you. This
will lead to what is obviously some kind of target practice chamber. Press
the switch on the panel directly in front of you to DE-activate the
forcefield at the rear of the room, and then use the stationary gun to
blast your way through the back of the room, thus creating an escape route
to outside.
-> A Scoutwalker is coming at you from the left-hand side, so head DIRECTLY
forward as fast as you can and shoot the crates outside the window in front
of you to gain access to the next building. Enter as fast as possible.
-> You have now entered a Scoutwalker storage facility. Look 45 degrees to
your left and you will see a glass panel with a commander behind it. Shoot
the crates beside it to destroy the window, and then kill the commander
and enter the room through the smashed window.
-> Activate both the switches in this room, and use both rechargers. Then
leave via the window. You could leave via the door but you'd have to
destroy some mines to get back to the main area - the window's a little
quicker and it's always a good idea to conserve ammo, non ??
-> Turn left and go through the door at ground level between the Scoutwalkers.
Run directly forward through the next door and onto the lift. Do a 180
as the lift is rising.
-> Come out and turn left and run along the walkway.

NOTE : You CAN take control of one of the Scoutwalkers if you like ... just
jump onto the top of it, look down and press the USE button to gain control
of it ... this is NOT integral to completing the level, however, so I am going
to skip all the FUN you can have with it ;)

-> Take the door on your left and run up the blue-lit steps.
==============================================================================
CUTSCENE - The Leader appears on a nearby ledge and says "You're doing well
Jedi. TOO well ! It's time to end this game.", and then starts shooting at
you again.
==============================================================================
-> Run forward and take control of the stationary gun to your right-hand side.
Shoot the leader to make him buzz off (avoid the explosive crates as they
will do quite a bit of damage to you if you're near them when they are hit).
-> Turn the stationary gun on the Scoutwalker and blast it to bits. Then
take out the troops on this level. When you are satisfied with the
carnage, leave the gun and move on.
-> Follow the walkway all the way around the building and enter the green door
at the far side.
-> You will hear the sound of one of those pesky guards cloaking - this next
area is an ambush so be forewarned.
-> Turn left, slay the guard immediately in front of you and to the right, and
move on.
-> Follow the corridor to the right and enter either of the illuminated
passageways (they have white lights all around them) on your left.
-> Make your way to the BACK of this room, and enter the control room at the
back. Kill all the guards and activate the switch nearest the door on the
right-hand side of the control room, to open the door out back.
-> Head through that door and onto the lift. It goes down - do a 180 whilst
you're on it.
-> You are now in a Tie Fighter Hangar. Move forward and into the next room;
the room with the stairs ;)

CUTSCENE - The doors close behind you and the Leader (who is on the top looking
down at you) sneers and says "Well played. Tragically I can't allow you to
TELL anyone about my little operation. Farewell, Jedi."

Now ... a QUICK little word about how to BEAT this guy. He's on the top floor
of this chamber, and we are on the bottom. He is going to run around the top
floor and take pot-shots at us. There is ABSOLUTELY no point in trying to
shoot him from down here. We need to get up to his level and unload whatever
weapons we have into his fat ugly mug. So this is how we're going to do it.

-> Turn right, run to the foot of the stairs, then turn left and run up the
stairs. Keep running in the same direction, up the SECOND set of stairs
too.
-> Turn right and follow the catwalk. See when you're just about to run UNDER
the mesh floor above you ? Jump UP and onto that floor. Shoot the crate
in front of you unless he has already done so.
-> Run forward, right, right again and run forward and jump up onto the NEXT
floor - same rules as before - the way up is just as you're about to go
UNDER the mesh floor above you, you do a FULL force jump to land on it.
-> Run forward, right, right and do ANOTHER force jump to get up to the next
level.
-> Run forward and don't turn right - do another force jump to get up to the
TOP floor.
-> NOW. Run around the top floor (don't stop) and find that mutha. Shoot him
IN THE HEAD as many times as you can with ANY weapon you like. Use your
Force powers too - just UTTERLY waste this fat minger.

CUTSCENE - Luke says that the Disciples of Ragnos have siphoned force power
from ALL the entries in Luke's Journal, and that it is IMPERATIVE that you
find the leader of the Cult ASAP.
One of the students quite logically asks how you're supposed to do THAT, now
that ALL the entries in Luke's Journals have been pillaged.
Luke says that the Disciples of Ragnos have been striking areas that his
Journals HINTED to as well, such as Dagobah. Therefore, the Academy's best
bet is to BEAT them to the other locations (all of which Luke knows).
In order to take ADDITIONAL care since they have already lost one student,
everybody will travel in pairs. That said, Luke sends Kyle with you to Vjun.
APPARENTLY Vjun was one of Darth Vader's strongholds. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

VJUN - PART ONE
BRIEFING
Go to Vjun and beat the Disciples of Ragnos back before they can siphon the
Force Energy from there.

Unfortunately you don't get a Force Point for this level, but there will be a
LOT of Dark Jedi to contend with, so I hope you've been practising.

Kyle sets down his ship and comments that it looks like somebody else has
already arrived. Grrrrrrrrrrrreat. Company. And I'm just a MESS !! :(

-> Kyle starts the level by warning you of the danger posed by the acid rain
on the planet, and he's not kidding. It will eat away at your health like
me eating my way through a bag of sweets.

¦ Even Force Protect level 1 will shield you completely from the acid rain ¦

-> Activate Force Speed and run forward to the structure ahead of you.
BEWARE THE HEAVILY ARMOURED GUARDS - There is one to the left as you enter
the structure, and one to the right further into the structure.
I should point out that these 'HEAVILY ARMOURED GUARDS' or 'BIG BOYS' as I
call them in my guide are actually called 'Hazard Troopers' (just in case
you were curious) - thanks AGAIN to Phil Carter for that bit of info :)
Phil has also pointed out that the Hazard Troopers bear a striking
resemblance to the Dark Troopers from Dark Forces (the first Star Wars game
to feature Kyle Katarn).

TIP : These boys are armed with Stouker Concussion Rifles, so duck and weave
to avoid taking one to the chest. Best technique is up-close-and-personal
level 3 Force Lightning from behind. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm nice.
==============================================================================
-> Kill both of these guards (ideally whilst standing IN the structure so as
to avoid damage from the acid rain). If you're quick enough YOU can take
out the one INSIDE the building whilst Kyle kills the one to the left ;)
-> As you walk through the building look LEFT. You will see a walkway leading
out of the building and turning right. Take it, and head up the steps.
-> Kill ALL the big boys in this area before heading through the door at the
end.
-> Kill the Stormtroopers in this next room and head through the green door
at the end.
-> Kill all the guards in this next room and use the two rechargers just off
the ramp before moving through to the room on the left.
-> Kill the Dark Jedi that legs it into THIS room (you can have a COOL fight
with you, Kyle and the Dark Jedi - trust me) =D and then head through the
door at the rear.
-> Kill the Stormtroopers in this next room and head through the green door
at the end.
-> A checkpoint is automatically added. Kill the guards walking away from you,
enter the room, turn right and then head forward and then left up the
stairs.
-> As you come to the top of the stairs, turn LEFT and kill the Stormtroopers
on THAT side first, as one of them has a Golan Arms FC1 Flechette Weapon,
and that makes HIM the biggest danger in this room.
-> The exit from this room is on the RIGHT-hand side, but I would use the
SIDES to get to it rather than trying to jump directly across to it - it's
easier ;)

Checkpoint automatically activated

-> Run forward and under the cover of the next area - enter the nearby green
door - it's right in front of you.
-> Use the two rechargers in this next room and listen to the voice of one of
the guards saying "The Jedi got away". Enter the door on the right.
-> As you are running down this corridor towards the door at the end, another
Big Boy comes through, so WASTE him asap and move through his broken body
to use the door behind him.
-> Run down the stairs and under the rocky-ledge to your left for cover.
-> Move onwards and shelter under the cover of the NEXT ledge.
-> Run forward and follow the trail down and then forward.
-> Take out the Stormtroopers and hide under the safety of the ledge by the
stationary gun.
-> Keep running in the same direction - DON'T bother going left - go straight.
-> Run up the bank you will eventually come to on your right hand side and use
the large shield booster. Ideally wait here whilst Kyle takes out the three
Big Boys that are coming your way.
-> Once they are dead, move over to where they were (more shelter).
-> WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT ENTER THE WATER.
-> Follow the trail BY the water around to the left, seeking shelter as you go.
Keep following the trail until you reach the HUGE structure to your right-
hand side.
-> Ignore the first bridge.
-> Run across the second bridge and then turn LEFT and leap around the cliff
face using the rocky outcroppings as ledges.

CUTSCENE - There are two Tie Bombers in the area !!!!!!!!! =O Kyle says you'll
need to get to the turbolaser to take them out.
==============================================================================
-> Run under the nearby cover to your right whilst Kyle plods off and takes
on some more enemies.
-> Kill the Stormtroopers on the ground under the shelter, and take the door
on your right (the one that leads INTO the shelter).
-> Run around the central column, kill the commander and move on.
-> Kill the Big Boy around the corner to your right, and move through the
door.
-> Turn left, head towards the stairs, right up the stairs and kill the
Stormtroopers occupying the shelter you need.
-> Heal up, turn back on yourself to face the stairs, and then turn 90 degrees
to your RIGHT and head around the walkways, cleaning up Stormtroopers and
seeking shelter from this BLOODY rain as you go.
-> Follow the walkway around until you reach the green door at the far end.
Go through.
-> Kill the Stormtroopers in the area and then head through the brown
corridor that leads off from this room.
-> Draw your Lightsaber as you do as there are TWO Saber-wielding Dark Jedi
in the next room. Slay them both and move on, around the central pillar
and through the door at the far end.
-> Kill all the Stormtroopers in this next room and move through the archway
at the far end.
-> Follow the corridors past all the blue screens until you finally come to a
green door.
-> Turn right before you hit the droid, and up the ramp ...

CUTSCENE - Kyle confirms that the turbolaser should be on the other side of the
door, but it appears that the door is locked. Kyle goes back to the control
room to unlock it, and asks you to stay to confirm that the door opens ok.

A Dark Jedi runs into the room after he has gone. Mmmmmmmmmm goody. Target
practice.
==============================================================================
-> Draw your lightsaber and lay waste to this PATHETIC warrior.
-> Once the Dark Jedi has died, the door opens (funny that). Jaden confirms
that she's goin' in now that the door's sorted, and Kyle says he'll be
right up.
-> Go through the door, turn left and take control of the stationary gun. Use
it to wipe out both the Tie Bombers.
-> Leave the stationary gun, and move over to the lift (it's the depression
in the floor near where Kyle's most likely standing).
-> Ride the lift down, and then head forward and around the canyon to your
right. Head up the ramp to end part one of this level
-----------------------
LEVEL 2 - FINAL MISSION
VJUN - PART TWO
-> We are now inside Bast Castle - one of Darth Vader's strongholds. We need
to find our way from the underworks (where we currently are) to the top.
-> Kyle confirms that there's a lift in the corner, but it's locked down. He
suggests trying to find another way out. Directly ahead of the door, on
the other side of the room to be precise, is an open doorway. Go through
that.

CUTSCENE - Kyle says that the STINK coming from that door can only mean it
leads to a garbage pit, but it's got to be the way to go.
==============================================================================
-> Kyle says that you need to run to the middle and jump out from there. He's
not kidding - you're in a huge garbage compactor !! =O RUUUUUUUUUN !!!!!
-> Kyle tells you to take the chute nearest you, and he'll take the other one.
With any luck you'll meet up on the other side.
-> From where Kyle is standing, do a 180 and take that chute. Follow it up
to the Control Room, and kill the Stormtroopers there.
-> Activate the switch, and go through the door in the far corner.
-> Turn left and then left again and run to the boxes at the far end.
-> Force pull the middle box and hack your way through the grate at the bottom
to gain access to a secret area.
-> Once you're done in here, leave the secret area and run through the door
that's directly ahead of you.
-> Turn right and bail Kyle out of his fight with the three Dark Jedi. What's
he like eh !!
-> Once they are dead, double-back on yourself and take the door in the left
wall (at the end - where you entered this room from), then turn left and
run up to the RED door. Kyle will open it.
-> Follow him into the water-filled room.

CUTSCENE - You both wade into the room and Kyle tries to Force Pull a switch,
but causes it to FRY by mistake. One of the power conduits from overhead
falls, and Kyle has to use his force powers to prevent it from hitting the
floor.

He calls to you to find some way to drain the water.
==============================================================================
-> Turn and use Force Pull on all the RED pumps on the wall behind you - there
are three of them.
==============================================================================
CUTSCENE - The water having been drained, Kyle allows the conduit to hit
the floor.
==============================================================================
-> Jump up onto the conduit, taking GREAT care not to touch the end, and then
use it as a ramp to go up and find Kyle.
-> Hear that electronic noise ? Sound familiar ? It's a droid around the
corner. KILL IT.
-> Follow the corridor and jump into the air-filled shaft. Ride it up and get
out on the left-hand side at the top, with Kyle.
-> Around the next corner and destroy the droid (another one !!).

CHECKPOINT AUTOMATICALLY ACTIVATED
==============================================================================
-> When you enter the next room, take note of what is happening. The only
way out appears to be that little shaft that the green laser periodically
come out of.
-> TIMING IT VERY VERY CAREFULLY AND USING FORCE SPEED, run through that hole
when the laser is off, and then immediately shift to the left when you get
in. Kill all the Stormtroopers here.
-> Head to the left of the room. See how the circular platforms spin and
stop, spin and stop ? Well I want YOU to jump onto one of them when it
stops on the LEFT hand-side of the room, and then very very quickly turn
180, and Force Jump up onto the ledge behind you ... k ?
-> Done that ? GOOOOOOOOD ! Now jump up one more ledge and go through the
green door.
-> Kill the 2 Dark Jedi in this room and move to the right of the room, and
up the stairs to the right, killing Stormtroopers as you go.
-> Head through the door at the top of the stairs, and kill all the
Stormtroopers in THIS room too. There are THREE lifts in this room. You
do not need to take the central one (which leads DOWN), but you DO need to
take one of the ones on either side of it (which lead UP) to get further
into Bast Castle.
-> Kill all the guards in this room, and then turn right and head through the
door at the far end. You can TRY and listen to the guards talking about
Darth Vader, but more often than not, Kyle screws up your plans by killing
them. *sigh*
-> Kill the guards (if they aren't dead already) and make your way around
and to the left, using the far door to exit.
-> You can go either way - left OR right - but you need to take out the two
flying Stormtroopers before you can move on. Once they are dead, you need
to jump onto the roof of the room you just came from. If you can't recall
which one it was ? It's the one with the boxes on it ;)
-> Once you're on the ledge above the boxes, use Force Pull on the four radar
dishes above your head, to feed the energy from this device back on itself.
There are four of them ;)

CUTSCENE - Your plan works, but Kyle falls during the disruption. You must
venture on without him (he's fine by the way)

LEVEL 2 - FINAL MISSION
VJUN - PART THREE
-> Kyle says that he's on his way - you tell him nothing's happened that you
can't deal with.
-> Jump up and out of this area, and kill ALL the Stormtroopers (flying and
otherwise) in the main area.
-> Once the area has been pacified, head through the green door.
-> You will hear dialogue between 2 Dark Jedi :-
1) "Are you new here ?"
2) "Yes"
3) "You made a wise choice. The Master will soon return to lead us to
to glory."
-> Move forward and slay the two Dark Jedi.
-> Turn right and take the lift up. Do a 180 whilst you're on the lift.
-> Take out the Dark Jedi in the next room, and then go through the green door.
-> Turn right and follow the walkway around, taking out all the Stormtroopers
as you go. Follow it aaaaaaaaall the way around and slay the Dark Jedi
as you approach the end. Go through the green door he came through.
-> Turn right and take out the Stormtroopers and the ceiling-mounted gun.
-> Venture forward (to where they were), turn left and take the lift up. Do a
180 while you're on the lift.
-> Go forward and clear out this room of Stormtroopers. Then head through the
HUUUUUUUGE green door on the left.

QUICKSAVE HERE - this guy's a pain.
==============================================================================
-> Walk forward and stand this side of that huge column ahead of you to listen
to another conversation - this time between a Dark Jedi Team
1) "We're wanted up in the Thone Room"
2) "For what ?"
3) "I guess they're almost done up there. We'll be leaving soon."
-> Move around and take out the Dark Jedi Team, BUT BEWARE as there is a
Stormtrooper contingent here too.
-> When they are dead, enter the back of the pillar you were standing in front
of a moment ago (it's a lift that goes up to the throne room).

QUICK SAVE BEFORE YOU GET OUT OF THE LIFT
==============================================================================
-> There is a Dark Jedi here, AND a Disciple of Ragnos with a Lightsaber.
-> Turn right and take out the Dark Jedi. Then focus on the Disciple of
Ragnos, 'coz he's tougher.
-> Once they are all dead, and BE WARNED this might take a few goes, destroy
the cannisters by the window to detonate them (DON'T do it by hitting them
with your Lightsaber for GOD'S sakes), and then either drop down and clear
out the room, or wait for the flying Stormtroopers (sound like a circus
team don't they) ;) to come to you. There is a Dark Jedi Team in the
Hangar below ;)
-> Once you have cleared out the area, Kyle will make contact to ascertain
where you are. He's on his way, but we can keep on moving ;)
-> Head to the far left-hand corner of the room and through the door there.
At first you may have difficulty seeing it - it's on the right-hand side
of the huge wall to your left ;) Use the 2 rechargers before moving on
if you like.
-> Jump up onto the boxes immediately ahead of you, and jump off them onto
the ledge that they rest against. You are confronted by a Dark Jedi Team.
Dispose of them.
-> From the top of the boxes, head across (jump across to) the far side and
through the door.
-> Turn left and QUICK SAVE before you enter the next room. THIS guy will be
a first for you.
-> Turn right and engage your first TWIN LIGHTSABER-WIELDER.

TIPS WHEN FIGHTING TWIN LIGHTSABER-WIELDERS
Of all three types of lightsaber combatant in the game, I believe the TWIN
Lightsaber-wielder is the most flamboyant. Having two lightsabers means he
has twice the attacking potential, but is prone to doing moves that are TOO
extreme for his own good. Keep your wits about you, and NEVER presume to be
safe in this type of fight. Be VERY very careful.
If they crouch, they are most likely going to use a saber-twirl move - stand
well back as their twin sabers will circle their body for a few seconds,
slicing all those in the vicinity to bits.

-> Once he is dead, head through the door on the opposite side of the room to
the one you used to get in, and then follow the corridors around.
-> You will enter a room where four pillars descend from the ceiling to floor-
level. There is a console in the middle of the room. THIS room is a
DEATH-TRAP. Basically as soon as you activate that console ? You will be
attacked by four consecutive waves of fighters. You must defeat them ALL
to proceed.
The 4 waves are :-
1) 2 Interrogation Drones (come from the far right)
2) 2 Gun Drones (come from the back left)
3) 2 Assassin Droids (come from the back right)
4) 2 Training Droids (come from the front left)
-> Yes, number 4 IS the toughest, and they ARE set to Luke's Training Regimen.
Best combat technique against number 4 is to crouch and slash ;)
-> Once all four waves have been defeated, the green door in the room will open
and you may leave.
-> Enter the green door, use the recharger and then turn right and use the lift
which goes DOWN. Do a 180 on the lift.
-> Turn right and kill the 2 Dark Jedi (who are armed with sidearms this time)
then go through the door that they were guarding.

Of all the different types of lightsaber-wielders in this game, I find these
to be the most AGGRESSIVE fighters. They rush into combat and fight both
intelligently and furiously, so ALWAYS be on your guard. If they start to
twirl their sabre, be careful as they do one full twirl to the left, then to
the right, then over the head so there is a real risk of all SORTS of body
parts being lost.

CUTSCENE - Rosh Penin is alive !!!!! As you approach he says "I sense your
presence Jaden". It turns out that the Disciples of Ragnos have saved him and

which Jaden replies "What are you saying ? You're a Jedi !" Rosh starts to
revert to normal, but the two Disciples of Ragnos that are with him interject,
forcing their will over his own.
Rosh prepares to fight you.

There are THREE fighters in this room - I would urge you to kill the two
Disciples of Ragnos BEFORE bothering with Rosh. He spends a lot of time
mouthing off and running around - always make sure you have him in your
sights, but focus on slaying the two Disciples of Ragnos first.
Once they have fallen, turn your attentions on Rosh.
Rosh is armed with a single red lightsaber, but his array of Force Powers is
quite impressive. He has (that I have seen) :-
Force Grip
Force Lightning
Force Protection
Force Rage
&
Force Absorb
Use the huge size of the room to your advantage. There are PLENTY of things
to keep between you and Rosh, and if you back away ENOUGH, sometimes he will
just stand still and you will have a small window within which to heal.

CUTSCENE - Rosh lies beaten, and Kyle arrives JUST in time to stop you from
taking things further. As he is talking to Rosh, Rosh's Master Tavion arrives
and strikes both Kyle and Jaden with a powerful and debilitating lightning
blast. We quickly learn that Kyle spared her life in a past encounter, and
that this has SERIOUSLY p!ssed her off (this actually took place in Jedi Knight
II: Jedi Outcast (which I haven't played, so thanks to Phil Carter for that)).
She is on a quest for revenge, and believes that Ragnos' Scepter (which she
now holds) is the key to her revenge.
She uses her force powers to take your scepter from your grasp and flings it
at the ceiling to bring the house down about your ears whilst she and Rosh
escape.
Note : Phil Carter (who has very kindly contributed LOADS to this guide) is
of the opinion that it's actually Jaden that DELIBERATELY throws her
saber at the ceiling whilst Tavion is talking, to catch her off-guard.
I'm not 100% on WHAT happens to be totally honest - could be either as
far as I can tell, but I thought I'd put his comments in just to make
my walkthrough a bit more complete :)
Kyle holds the ceiling up whilst you take his lightsaber and use it to cut
a hole in the floor for you both to escape.
Back at the Academy, you and Kyle tell Luke what happened on Vjun. Your
theory about the increased number of Dark Force Users is that Tavion has
been channeling the force power she has been storing in the Scepter to
convert subjects to the Dark Side of the Force. Sinister, non ?? ;)
Luke promotes you to Jedi Knight, and tells you that he would like you to
take a more active role in the Academy whilst he is trying to track down
Tavion's movements.
You will also need to rebuild a lightsaber for yourself.

given your THIRD fighting style, so you now have fast, medium AND strong to

DUAL SABERS
This is two separate lightsabers that you can wield - you can pick separate
hilts if you like, and each blade can have an independent colour. This makes
this the most colourful option to pick.

that you can pull off with dual sabers - I sometimes pick this option

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYES !! BE Darth Maul. You pick from one of a set of BIGGER
hilts, and can sheath one HALF of this lightsaber during play should you wish

99% of the time I pick this saber. It's just SO f*****g cool !!!!!!!!!!!!! =D

MISSION STARTS.
-> You start off by falling down a looooooooong well and landing amonst some
rocks.
-> Force push the HUGE boulder in front of you. Chuckle as it tw@ts that poor
sod who was looking over the edge in the head =)
-> Walk forwards and turn around - a twin saber-wielding Dark Jedi is going
to jump down and land at the location the boulder occupied. Kill him.
-> Now ... assuming you're FACING the way you came in ? Turn left. Walk to
the edge of the ledge and look down - you'll hear two guards start talking
about how one of them used to be a Stormtrooper. Drop down ledge by ledge
and slay them.
-> If you brought the Merr-sonn PLX-2M with you, look over to your right at
the Dark Jedi Team on the ledge and use the weapon's SECOND fire option
(hold down the secondary fire button until the weapon has locked onto the
Force User (the one on the right) and then fire a rocket square into his
chest) to take him out. Vault over to the ledge they are on and defeat the
saber-wielder to boot.

¦ On higher difficulty levels the Dark Jedi will just Push the Merr-sonn ¦
¦ PLX-2M back at you, so it's better to take them out in other ways ¦

-> Once they are dead, follow the cracked walkway from the ledge down the steps
and to the right. Watch out though as when you get onto the bit that
has MORE support ? It breaks and you fall ! DON'T PANIC - just be careful.
-> Follow the walkway and drop down onto the level with the Dark Jedi. Slay
him and then make your way across the bridge to the right, taking out the
three guards in the area as well.
-> When you get to the end of this bridge, head right and then down the
tunnel to your left.
-> Start to run across the big bridge, but be forwarned that the majority of
it will explode as you approach. Fortunately a max-strength Force Jump
will see you clear to the other side ;)
-> Head up the steps and into a great hall. There are THREE Dark Jedi in here
and I would therefore suggest hanging a LEFT first to take out the one that
is standing on his own, before taking on the other two.
-> Once the three Dark Jedi have been slain, head over to the right-hand door
and activate your Force Sight. See the glowing glyph on the door ? Force
Pull it to open the door.
-> Head down the stairs and slay the Dark Jedi that is waiting for you.
-> Once he has fallen, keep heading down the stairs to the broken area outside.

-> Set foot on the broken area and then fall back - another Dark Jedi will
vault up onto the ledge and attack you and it's easier to defeat him when
there is less fear of falling off ;) Slay him and then drop down to where

-> Drop down onto the steps and turn to face the broken ledge and the Dark
Jedi that blocks your path. Engage and destroy him.
-> Use the Merr-sonn PLX-2M's second function to blow away the Dark Force
User on the left-hand side on the broken bridge facing you, and then
use a max-strength Force Jump from the RIGHT-hand side of the broken bridge
to make it to the other side.
-> Facing the door ahead of you (as in, facing the same direction you just
jumped), turn left and head down the slope along the rock face.
-> Jump across and assail the Dark Jedi Team ahead and beneath you.
-> Head left along the bridge and follow the ledge around to the right.
-> STOP when you come to your first left turn, and look down and right. You
will see a doorframe. Drop down onto it. Then drop down onto the ledge
just beneath it.
-> Turn left and jump across to the next doorframe, and then drop down GENTLY
onto the very small ledge beneath it.
-> Repeat this process until you land on the bridge with the blue lights.
-> Come off the bridge and follow the ledge around to the right-hand side.
-> When you see the doorway and ledge to your right ? STOP and jump over
there.
-> Do a max-strength force jump and land on the next ledge - the one with the
guard.
-> Slay the Dark Jedi Team and then run up to the doorway in the far wall and
jump onto the doorframe. Then turn right and jump up onto the ledge.
-> Keep jumping up the ledges until you reach the plateau. Then turn right
and head across the bridge, slaying the Dark Jedi Team as you pass.
-> Head up the stairs.

The tomb area is a really good spot IMO for honing a lot of finesse with your
sabre style. The often restrictive enviornments and the fact that at a
couple of points you are forced fight two (and possibly three) skilled dark
jedi is very good practice for later, and on very high difficulty setting ended
up being both initially frustrating and a lot of fun as I honed my combat
styles. I'd recommend at some points of the level to redo them several
times using alternate stragegies and using different combinations of force
powers and sabre/acrobatic techniques to find some that work well for the
player.

You arrive just as one of the Dark Jedi opens a locked room and releases
some form of mutated Rancor into the freight hangar. He is promptly eaten
for his troubles, and the Rancor is on the loose !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-> Do a 180 and leg it forward and to the left over, under and between the
containers to the far side of this hangar. Activate the switch on the
platform in the far right-hand side of the hangar (ignore as many of the
Dark Jedi as you can - the Rancor is a more immediate threat, and he will
kill anybody ... and I do mean ANYBODY ... that he meets en route).
-> Once the switch has been activated, drop down and head through the archway
to your left.
-> Kill the Dark Jedi Team that are blocking your path and continue through
the green door.

Adrenalin! The mutated rancor gave me SUCH a huge adrenaline rush the first
several times I did this mission. If you keep in mind that speed is key you
should do ok once you know the layout. Also, keep an eye out for some
explosive containers (vats) there's at least a couple of points you can forego
a fight entirely by running past and blowing up the cultists.

-> As soon as you get through the door go RIGHT and to the right of the big
containers blocking your path. Then veer left towards the door (but don't
waste your time trying it - go to the corridor that leads to the LEFT of
the door) and continue down to the far end of the hallway. You will need
to kill all the Dark Jedi in the area before the door in the far left-hand
corner of the room will open. Perhaps that Rancor can help you ;)
-> Once the Dark Jedi have all been slain, the door will open. Head through
it and turn 90 degrees to your left and leg it once AGAIN down to the far
end of the hangar, towards the large yellow container.
-> When you get there activate the switch on the left-hand side and then jump
onto the boxes on the right and drop down on the other side of them.
-> Just keep heading straight to the door ahead of you, and activate the
switch on its left-hand side before going through.
-> When you get through the door turn IMMEDIATELY to your left and up the
ramp, behind the conduits and through the door on the far side. Take out
the 2 Dark Jedi before moving on.
-> Head up the ramp and to the wall opposite the foot of the stairs. Stop and
look at the stairs. There is one Dark Jedi up top, guarding the switch
you need to hit, and the Mutated Rancor is in the room behind. Trapped.

to create a cloaking device, hiding the entire planet from discovery. But
now, someone else has discovered Yalara. Go to Yalara and find out if anyone
has been there. If the cloaking device is in danger of being stolen, it
would be better to destroy it rather than have it fall into the wrong hands."
LUKE : "That cloaking device is too powerful to fall into the wrong hands,
cult or otherwise. It may be better to just destroy it."

You land your Z-95 at the base of the Citadel, and must ascend to see what
is going on with the Cloaking Device.

-> Head through the door directly ahead of you.
==============================================================================
CUTSCENE - You are confronted by a Noghri who says "Leave this place" before
opening fire on you with his laser weapon. BEWARE - these lasers explode on
impact and create a poisonous cloud for a few seconds.
==============================================================================
-> Kill him, enter the building, go around the central machine and out the
door on the other side.
-> Enter the next room and clear out all the Noghri there. Then take the lift
in back, and do a 180 as it ascends.
-> Head out and to the right. Kill the Noghri first, and then take out the
Stormtroopers.
-> Once they are dead, head through the central tower, out the other side, and
repeat the process.
-> Head through the door, up onto the platform. Kill all the Stormtroopers
in the room and then head through the RIGHT-hand door (the one OPPOSITE the
fan).
-> Take the lift down, do a 180 whilst it's in transit. Head through the door,
then up onto the platform. Kill all the stormtroopers, take a left and
go through the green door there.
-> Activate the functioning switch to stop the fan, then turn and leave through
the same door you used to get in. Up onto the platform, then through the
door on your right. Push the button on the right-wall to call the lift.
-> Ride the lift up and do a 180, then go through the door when it reaches
the top. Up onto the platform, straight ahead of you through the now
STOPPED fan, and drop down, only to be blown STRAIGHT up !! Move forward
as fast as you can as you need to get through a hole in the wall at the top
on the far wall. You will take electricity damage if you hit the ceiling.
-> Through the fan that has stopped here, and kill the Dark Jedi in the next
open area. Go through the door in the left-hand wall, and head straight
down the corridor ahead of you.

-> Through the door in the far wall, and prepare to be ambushed by TWO Dark
Jedi as you step into the next room. If you're lucky a good Force Push or

ambush - this time from a dual-ended lightsaber-wielder. Slay him, and
then go through the stopped fan and up again. Again move as far forward
as fast as possible, to get out the other side without taking lightning
damage from tw@tting your head ;)
-> Through the stopped fan and slay all the Stormtroopers in the next room.
-> Head forward and towards the rickety bridge - beware yet ANOTHER ambush as
a twin-bladed lightsaber-wielder drops down BEHIND you this time.
-> Kill all the guards in the area and head through the door directly ahead
of the one you used to get into this area (straight ahead of you as you
cross the rickety bridge).
-> Head left and to the foot of the stairs. Look up at your next opponent.
CRUSH HIM and move up the stairs.
-> When you get to the top, having killed all the Dark Jedi as you go, go
through the door and kill all the Dark Jedi and the Noghri - ALTERNATIVELY
you could just let them kill each other *blush*
-> Head around to the back of the structure they are fighting in front of, and
enter it - it's a lift.
-> Exit, slay the Dark Jedi and the Noghri, and then plant the four explosives
to destroy the Cloaking Device and you get a

too dangerous for anyone to go alone."

Kyle pilots the ship to Byss, where Jaden tells him that she cannot feel the
presence of the Dark Side. Kyle agrees, saying that that's NOT a good thing.
Before you can escape, however, an Imperial Dreadnought appears and tractors
in your ship. You cannot escape. You are trapped.

-> Kill the Stormtrooper to your right and then do a 180 and stonk it down the
hall, taking out the ceiling-mounted gun on your right and all the
Stormtroopers en route to boot.
-> Turn left and head through the door at the end of the room.
-> Turn immediately right and go through the door, then left and kill the
Commander to get his key.
-> Double-back on yourself and use the Commander's key on the door switch in
the room you were just in.
-> Go through the door and up the lift. You don't need to turn around - you're
already facing the right way.
-> Move slightly forward off the lift and listen to the Stormtroopers (who are
on your RIGHT by the way) talking about the insurgents.
-> Turn right, kill the Stormtroopers and head down the corridor. Take a
right at the end. Kill everybody in the room and take care as there are
two Big Boys to your left who are going to walk INTO the room shortly.
Kill the lot of 'em, and then head up to where the Big Boys were coming
from.
-> Go through the door on the right and kill the two commanders. Activate
the switch on the unit on your left to disable the tractor beam.

must have sent a distress signal, as there are fighters inbound !!

-> Head through the door on your right, and Kyle will come over the intercom
to tell you that he needs you to take out the inbound Tie Fighters. No
problem ;)
-> Head forward, left, and down the end of the corridor, taking out the ceiling
mounted cannon, the Stormtroopers, the HEAVILY ARMED Stormtrooper, and the
Big Boys before getting rid of the stationary forcefield, and moving around
to go through the door on your left (at the end)
-> Head right, then ALL the way around to the left (you can pass the first door
on your left) and then turn right at the RED door and go through the
GREEN door ahead of you. Take out the two Big Boys when you get there.
-> Down the steps, take out the Stormtroopers to your right (one of whom has
a Golan Arms Flechette Weapon), and then do a 180 and go through the lift
directly ahead of you. Do a 180 whilst on the lift, and turn left and take
out the Stormtroopers as you get out of the lift.
-> Do a 180 and head down the other end of the corridor, turning RIGHT at the
end. You are now in the firing area. Kill all the Stormtroopers and take
control over one of the turrets. Kill all the Tie Bombers. There are 4
in total.

him by WHATEVER means are necessary.

Try and avoid powers like Force Lightning or Force Drain, as he has TOTAL
access to every area of the arena via his jet-pack. He'll just fly away.
Phil Carter says :-
Force Lightning *does* work pretty well on him, at least as long as you're in
range. It has the added bonus of keeping him stunned so he can't shoot back
while you're damaging him. This is a waste of time during the mission proper,
but after you've blown up all the caches Fett no longer runs away and
regenerates when you have damaged him enough -- instead it triggers the ending
sequence.

Make sure you ALWAYS know where he is, and keep a watch out for telltale sounds
like a ROCKET coming for you.
Once he has fallen, you may leave ! He flies off saying there's no bounty on
you, which is a pity.

believes that Tavion is storing power in the Scepter to RESURRECT Ragnos.
This means you'll have to go to Korriban - the burial site of a whole LOAD of

HOWEVER, before you go to Korriban, Kyle tells you that you are to go to Taspir
III, as you have just received a distress call from Rosh. Jaden tells him that
this is a BAD idea, but that she'll go with you regardless. It might well
be a trap - seems a bit ODD that Rosh was able to get a message out of Taspir
III when he's supposed to be a captive there ...

assuming that if you stage a two-pronged assault you're BOUND to find Rosh.

where you start (it's not QUITE directly ahead of you if that makes sense).
-> Kill the Stormtroopers and the flying Stormtrooper before going in.
-> Head through the door and veer left. Go through the door on your left and
kill everybody in the room. Hmmm ... the switch for the elevator is broken.
Guess we'll have to find another way to get up ... =./
-> Ok ... turn around and leave this room. Turn left and head out the door
ahead of you. Turn left, and go down the ramp that doubles-back on you.
-> Follow the ramp and activate both switches on the console on the right.

A BRIDGE EXTENDS TO YOUR PRESENT LOCATION.

-> Use Force Speed to cross the bridge and take out that Big Boy on the other
side.
-> Turn left, head forward and activate the switch.

A BRIDGE EXTENDS FROM THE TOP OF THE BUILDING OUT.

-> Do a 180, then go forward, then right, across the bridge, right again, then
double-back on yourself and go left, then through the door on your right.
-> Turn left and kill the Stormtrooper. Then go into the lift he was guarding.
-> Do a 180 and then head through the door. Kill all the guards in the room.
-> Head out the door in the far right-hand corner.
-> Cross the bridge and kill the Dark Jedi Team on it. Keep going and kill
the Stormtroopers as well.
-> Enter the building and kill the Dark Jedi Team inside. Also slay the
guards on this floor.
-> Follow the walkway around to the left, and go through the door on the far
left-hand side. Use the lift and ascend. Turn 90 degrees to your left and
go through the door.
-> Listen to the guards talking about their unfortunate incident.
-> Follow the walkway around to the left, slaying all the Stormtroopers as you
go. When you reach the large crate that lies in the middle of the others,
you will notice that your "use the force" cursor appears when you look at
it. Force push this crate and it will slam into the crates on the left.
-> Jump up and into the ventilation system.
-> Follow it around to the right and destroy the damaged grate ahead of you
to gain access. Drop down and run around to the far side to slay the
guards and take the security key off the commander.
-> Return back to the blue door and use your security key on it to open it.
-> Head out and slay the Dark Jedi by the Radar dish.
-> Follow the walkway down to the left of the Radar dish. Follow it all the
way down and then follow the canyon wall around until you reach the door.
Watch out for the flying Stormtroopers (there are THREE in this area), and
the cloaked guard who's high up (above the door) and armed with a disruptor.
-> Head through the green door.
-> Slay the guards and the Stormtroopers and follow the path around to the
left.
-> Up the stairs and slay the Dark Jedi, then the Dark Jedi Team, then the
Dark Jedi who tries to ambush you, then the combo Commander, flying
Stormtrooper and double-bladed Saber-wielder that try and mug you at the
top.
-> Follow the path around to the right and exit through the second green door.
-> Slay the 2 Dark Jedi on the walkway and move on.
-> Through the door they were guarding, and slay EVERYBODY in there (with the
possible exception of the droid).
-> Through the door on the far side, jump across the broken bridge and slay
the Dark Jedi Team and the flying Stormtrooper there.
-> Follow the walkway around and use the door to gain access to the building.
-> Dispose of the Stormtroopers and head right and down the spiral.
-> Through the door at the bottom and slay the Dark Jedi Team here.
-> Through the door on the other side of the walkway and kill the Dark Jedi
Team that are waiting in ambush for you on the OTHER side of the door.
-> Through the door at the end and out.

-> Activate Force Speed and leg it forward, around the far bank, down into the
hangar on that side, and slay the Big Boy in there.
-> Head back out and to the bridge. Activate Force Speed and head into the
nearest hangar on the OTHER side. Hold up in there and slay the Big Boys
as they come to you. There are about 6 in total.
-> Exit this hangar and turn left and follow the walkway around.
-> Go through the door on the left and slay the Dark Jedi that tries to ambush
you from your RIGHT as you go in. THEN kill the Dark Jedi that waits for
you at the end of the corridor.
-> Go through the doorway he was guarding out onto the walkway behind it, and
destroy the Dark Jedi Team that wait for you there. Then enter the door
behind where they were standing.
-> Veer right and go around to the far side, clearing the area of Stormtroopers
as you go. Then go through the door on the far side and use the lift.
-> Do a 180 on the way up, take the door at the top and veer right again. Go
through the door on the far side, then across the walkway and through the
red door. Head around the back of this room and take the door that was
guarded by the 2 Stormtroopers. Use the lift and ascend.
-> Do a 180 on the lift, slay the twin-bladed saber-wielder and go around
the back of the central column. Use the red door there.
-> Cross the bridge and slay the guard that stands on it. BE VERY CAREFUL.
This boy is a full-blown Disciple of Ragnos and is TOUGH.
-> Go through the door he was protecting.

LEVEL 3 - PENULTIMATE MISSION
TASPIR-III - PART TWO

You enter the door and Alora shoots at you. You leap to the side and she
proceeds to take the p!ss out of you, saying that it's sweet that you want
to save Rosh, but what if he doesn't WANT to be saved ? She leaves and
creates an explosion ahead of you to keep things interesting.

-> Get up to the level Alora was on (whether by using the bricks she has just
created as stepping stones, or running around back and using the lift).
-> Go through the door she left through, and slay the Dark Jedi Team here.
-> Go right and then left and through the door.
-> Head towards the far door but take the door on your LEFT instead of going
straight. You enter a room with loads of cylinders pouring molten lava
downwards.

CUTSCENE - Alora calls forth a couple of Dark Jedi to battle you.

-> Kill the 2 Dark Jedi (one dual saber-wielder, one twin-bladed saber-wielder)
and head through the door immediately opposite the one you used to come

-> Take the lift DOWN, and do a 180 whilst you're on it.
-> Kill the 2 Dark Jedi (one dual saber-wielder, one twin-bladed saber-wielder)
and head through the door opposite the way you entered THIS room.
-> Turn left and follow the corridor around to the right. Go through the door.
-> Run around to the back of the big machine and vault up onto one of the
beams.
-> Keep vaulting up until you get onto the top of the machine itself. This
will trigger a

Team. Kick their asses and move on.
-> Turn left and kill the Disciple of Ragnos. Then turn right and go through
the door ahead of you. Kill the guard, and activate the switch.

THE FORCEFIELD AHEAD OF YOU DROPS ... TEMPORARILY.

-> Vault up onto the conveyor belt on your left, activate Force Speed and
leg it through the downed forcefield.
-> Head forward, taking care to avoid the steam jets. Stop after the THIRD
set of steam jets. Jump off either the left or right-hand side and land
on the frame of the door.
-> Drop down onto the conveyor belt, and then drop down onto the NEXT conveyor
belt below that. Head back through the steam jets and go through the door
at the end.
-> Through the door onto the lift - do a 180 - through the door, kill the
guard and vault onto the conveyor belt ahead of you. Jump up onto one of
the blocks and ride it down the conveyor. Watch out for the steam jets,
and jump off at the last one, to land on the ledge on the left-hand side.
Follow the corridor around to the left, and then right. Right again.
-> Listen to the Dark Jedi talking about Ragnos being reborn, and then slay
them ... there are TWO Dark Jedi Teams here - one on either side of the
door ;)

THIS bit is, in MY humble opinion, the toughest point in the entire game.
One slip up and you die - it's that simple. I will explain this bit in GREAT
detail so as to minimise your frustration.
BASICALLY you are standing looking at a conveyor belt that moves from right to
left, yeah ? See the red blocks ? They are going through steam jets yeah ?
Well I want you to jump from where you are and land on one of those red blocks
after it has gone through its second steam jet. Ride it a VERY very short
distance and then jump off ahead of you at the first available platform you
can see.

"If you fall from this platform to the left you will be outside the corridor
formed by the machines ahead and, with a little jiggery-pokery, you can make
it to the other side comparatively reasonably easily. At the begining I
thought it was a bug in the game but then when I beat the game again (to get
the dark side ending) I did it again and it worked."

lightning that are turned off when the red block gets to them; the red
block then being clamped between two big grey blocks ?

HERE'S what you need to do.

You need to wait for one of the red blocks to enter the smashing vice, and
then jump up onto the red block as the vice starts to open, and then jump up
AGAIN to get onto the support for the mashers that stands ahead of it.
You have to be EXACTLY in the middle of the support as there are gaps to the
left and right that are periodically occupied by gigantic mashing arms that
swing down to hit the belt, and if you get too close to that you will be
squished !!
SOUND simple ? HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA I love people with a sense of
humour. Trust me it ISN'T. If you take too long the lightning will kick off
again, and one hit and you die.

through the door on the right-hand side. Kill the twin-bladed saber-
wielder and follow the corridor around to the right, then left.

You ... find ... Roshy-poos !! And you're P!SSED that he's not a captive as
he had suggested. He tries to block your advance with some piffy little boxes
which you CHUCK out of the way. You are about to have your SWEET revenge on
his ANNOYING little ass when both Kyle AND Alora show up. Kyle tells you
that Rosh only fell to the Dark Side because he was scared, and you need to
sheath your light saber to show you mean him no harm. Alora, on the other
hand, urges you to give in to your hatred and to strike this MAGGOT down once
and for all.
Now then kiddywinks ... THIS is what we call a dilemma.
This ONE decision will DIRECTLY affect the outcome of the game.
IF you sheath your saber, Rosh will be freed and you will have a GOOD ending.
If you kill Rosh, you will become a DARK JEDI.
The choice, my friend, is yours.

Phil Carter has kindly pointed out that when Alora strikes Rosh down, she
actually cuts off his arm at the shoulder! Ouch !!

You stab Rosh with your lightsaber, and Alora offers you the chance to join
Tavion. You respond by saying that you have NO intention of trading one master

In addition to all her skills from before, Alora has also developed a nasty
sliding attack.
This time she attacks with TWIN red sabers, so you will need to be on your
guard. She is MARKEDLY more impressive than she was the first time around.
Same rules as before apply. Avoid getting too heavily into hand-to-hand with
her, but defeat her with your lightsaber. You can TRY and take combat out onto
the open deck outside, but there is a real risk of being thrown off, so be
careful.
Once she has been slain, you get a cutscene depending on which option you chose.

LIGHT SIDE CUTSCENE - Jaden leaps over to try and save Rosh, and Kyle arrives
and takes him away for healing. You arrange to meet up with Kyle on Korriban.
Jaden lands on Korriban and speaks with the 2 Jedi that greet her.

DARK SIDE CUTSCENE - Jaden leaves and Rosh and Kyle have a TOUCHING reunion
before Rosh dies. Kyle realises that Jaden has headed for Korriban, and Kyle

KORRIBAN - PART ONE

Regardless of whether you have chosen the light or dark side, I will TRY and
keep the majority of the walkthrough for this final level the same.
The MAJOR difference is that if you chose the DARK side, EVERYBODY hates you,
whereas if you chose the LIGHT side, you can fight alongside your fellow
Jedi to try and defeat Tavion and Ragnos.
ONWARD !! =)

-> From your z-95, head right and then around the building. Take the left-
hand entrance and head down the steps, killing (whatever) as you go.
-> Down the stairs and at the bottom take a left, then another left and down
more steps into a main Audience Chamber. Stand on the coffin in the centre
and Force Push three of the four statues back into place to make the coffin
descend.
-> Kill those that get in your way and take the steps UPWARDS to the door.
-> Use Force Sight and look at the symbols on the floor. Activate the
corresponding buttons on the wall to open the door.

-> Head forward and down the stairs - PURGE the area of your enemies.
-> As you get through the door, stop and turn around. Force pull the white
blocks out to make a ladder for you. Jump up the ladder and then across
and to the top of the central pillar.
-> Walk around to the side with the open archway opposite, and jump across.
Head down the corridor. Watch out for the ambush ;)
-> When you get to the bottom, head through the large crack in the floor to
your left, and then follow the tunnel directly ahead of you.
-> When you get out, vault up onto the high ledge in front of you, turn left
and follow the ledge around and down the other side. Head through the arch
at the end (the one guarded by a Dark Jedi).
-> When you enter the next room, head either left OR right and when you get
to the main area on the other side, kill those people that oppose you and
head PAST the central area to the back wall (it's lower than the rest by
a little). Head through the hole on the left-hand side of the back wall

CHECKPOINT SAVED AUTOMATICALLY

-> WE need to go DOWN, so drop down to the beam below you, then the next one,
and then to the ledge.
-> Head up, right and up again. Kill the guards and drop down to the centre
of the room. Head down the little slope, left and then right. Kill the
guards.
-> Keep heading down, and when you get to the room at the bottom that's filled
with lava ? QUICK SAVE BABY YEAH ;)
-> Jump across to the steps on the right-hand side, and then follow the path
up and around to the far side.
-> Drop down and onto the stairs leading out of the room. BEWARE as there
is a Dark Jedi Team and a twin-bladed saber-wielder waiting for you in the
next room (Force User on the left, Saber-wielder and twin-bladed saber-
wielder on the right). BE FOREWARNED ;)
-> You must make your way to the far side of this room and destroy the two
supports that are holding the pillar up in the back. Once they have
fallen, a door upstairs will open allowing you passage through.

VERY IMPORTANT

In order to give FULL credit where it's due I'm going to leave my original
walkthrough AS IT WAS (where I instruct you to TOTALLY retrace your steps right
back to the room you were in where the door was locked).
Chris (bless him), has come up with a MUCH much better way of doing this
section so I'm going to put his comments after mine, and if you're interested
in completing this level WITHOUT running all the way back ? MY advice is to
follow HIS advice :)
-> Do a 180 and retrace your steps. Down the stairs on the far side, into the
lava room, jump up the stairs to the right, follow them around and drop off
out the far side, then up the stairs to your right, then left, up more
stairs, directly forward, up more stairs, left, then right, up and out the
hole in the wall to your right, down and left, into the second lava room.
-> Up two beams and onto the ledge on your right. Keep going aaaaaall the way
through to the far side, then through the catacombs, back through the dirt
tunnel, aaaaaaaaaaaall the way back to the main area where the door is now
open. The door is being guarded by a Disciple of Ragnos, however, so PLEASE
BE CAREFUL.

Chris' comments for a healthier, happier experience on this level :-

For this section there is a MUCH faster way to the former barricaded door. in
the room before the supports you destroy there was a single dark jedi with
dual sabers and there are two large chains in that room - one on either side.
Destroy the chains and the ceiling section opens up allowing you to get
directly to the room now occupied by two dark jedi and is right next to the
formely barricaded door.
FYI - for fun, when I was on dark path I ran past all the jedi in the
catacombs and ran to the lava section and proceeded to stand on the
ledge and pull the jedi to me where I would slap them with my sabre as I
dropped them into the lava. :)

KORRIBAN - PART TWO
-> Move forward and down the stairs. Slay those in your path.
-> VERY gently descend the pyramid. Go left when you get to the bottom.
-> Vault across the left-hand side of the sand banks towards the combat in
the distance. Aid (whomever) when you get there.
-> Use Force Push on the base of the huge pillar to the side, to create a
bridge to get back across the far side of the chasm.
-> Cross the bridge you have just made.
-> Kill the Dark Jedi and gently ... VERY gently ... descend down into the big
sand pit ahead of you. When you get there, crawl into the corridor that
is at the bottom.
-> Climb up once you get through, and you will come out the other side. Look
to your left and you will see an Academy student attacking a Stormtrooper.
-> Jump across to the left and sort the situation out. Then leg it past the
two Imperial Shuttles, and up the steep stairs on your left to the entrance
to Ragnos' Temple.
-> Enter Ragnos' Temple and run forward and forward and forward and ... omigod
it's a trap !! Kill the Dark Jedi Team and the Dark Jedi and move on.
-> Kill the Jedi on the narrow bridge and approach the double-doors at the end.
They will open automatically leading the way to Marka Ragnos' Throne Room.

As with most of the boss fights in this game, it's a straightforward case of
using your surroundings and as many force advantages as you can. Lunge to her
sides in close quarters, and get out before she does some real damage to you.

It's almost like fighting a clone of yourself in terms of his powers ;)

Jaden leaps and uses her lightsaber on Ragnos' Staff and that, coupled with
the death of Tavion's body, leaves Marka Ragnos has no option but to fall back
to the statue. He cries out that he WILL return one day to wreak his revenge
upon the Jedi.
Jaden leaves his Temple, sealing it behind her, and then descends the stairs,
meeting Luke and Kyle on the way. Jaden tells them that Tavion is dead, and
Ragnos will not be resurrected today.
Jaden then goes to see Rosh, who has now recovered in a medical facility, and
Kyle asks Jaden whether she is ready to undertake another mission for the
Academy. Jaden replies that she is.

DARK SIDE ENDING

Jaden uses Tavion's Staff to blast the roof above Kyle's head, bringing the
house down about his ears. This seems to happen to him quite a bit doesn't it,
poor lad.
Anyhow. Jaden then leaves, and Luke arrives just as Kyle gets out of his bind.
Luke confirms that they will have to go and find Jaden and destroy Ragnos'
Scepter. Kyle says he will do it himself, as it is his responsibility - Jaden
being HIS student and all.
The action switches to Jaden, who is now on board an Imperial Starship, having
taken control of it for herself. She is OFF !! =)

If you want to have lightsaber combat where you can hack off your opponents
limbs and so on and so forth, change the command line for your shortcut to be :
"...jasp.exe" +set g_saberrealisticcombat 2 +devmapall +set
g_saberrealisticcombat 2
PLEASE NOTE that that should read as one continuous line. So it's the path
of the jasp.exe file END QUOTE SPACE +set g_saberrealisticcombat 2 (and then
the rest). I know that I have repeated the g_saberrealisticcombat 2 command
twice, but for me it SEEMS that I need to or it won't work - bizarre ;)

ADDITIONAL SKINS

You can download these off the 'net - basically you can get allsorts from
additional faces and additional lightsaber hilts to extra colours for your
sabers (particularly RED) ;)
You download these files as .pk3 files, and just drop them into the "gamedata/
base" directory where you have installed the game. They are scanned for when
the game starts, and the skins etc., are uploaded into the game.
