Infinite Map Expansion (Save Editing)
-------------------------------------- Written by JjustGreg So you like playing the game on easy, medium or difficult but you want to keep expanding? It looks like you can only get 10 expansions ?? What if you could get.... Infinite? This is how you do it. -=Step 1: Make sure you expanded the map to the North, West, South or east at least 8 times minimum or even if it’s at the max of 10, that’s great! -=Step 2: Go to %appdata%/locallow/pedepe gbr/City Bus Manager/ Saves and find your save file (example.save). Make a backup of it, just in case. -=Step 3: You need to download HxD, you could try the Hex editor of notepad++ but idk how that one works. -=Step 4: Load the save file into HxD -=Step 5: Press CTRL + F (or go to search > find > text-string) and type in “mapexpansion” and press “Search all” -=Step 6: You will see that it highlights “mapexpansionnorth”, the following steps you will need to repeat with “mapexpansionsouth”, “mapexpansionwest”, and “mapexpansioneast”. So what you need to focus on is “…mapexpansionnorth….”, you click on the first “.” after the “h” in “mapexpansionorth”, so basically the first dot AFTER the word. what you will notice is that on the right side at “data inspector” you will see “lnt8” which will have a number ranging from 1-10. This number indicates how many map expansions you can still do. So if you have reached the maximum of “10” in your save file, it should say “10”. Simply change the number from 10 back to 1, it should automatically change the numbers on “ulnt8, lnt16 etc etc”. Now repeat this process with the other mapexpansions. After all are reset back to 1, save and load the game and you will see that you have 9 extra expansions! You can do this infinitely, however depending on your pc, it could lag. I’ve managed to cover the whole country of the Netherlands and a part of Belgium as well. -=Have fun! Save often and make sure to always have a save backup incase you accidentally do something wrong while editing the save file.↑ Top
Specific Bus on a Bus Line Using “Assign Buses Automatically”
-------------------------------------------------------------- Written by Jellie -=Step 1=- So in the game there are a feature called “Vehicle group” that you can access from the Shift schedule by clicking on the button that says: One of these: Minibuses, Solo buses, Articulated Buses or Double-decker Buses (pre made groups) The buttons is located below each bus in the Shift schedule. The pre made groups sorts the type of buses in the game. For example all articulated buses will go under the Vehicle group: Articulated Buses. -=Step 2=- But if you want a specific bus model on each line you can’t use the pre made groups. So to be able to have specific bus models on a line you will need to click on the button as mentioned before and then click “+ Manage vehicle groups”. When clicking on the button a new menu will pop up where you can click “New vehicle group”. Give the group name the same name as the bus model you want to use on specific lines. -=Step 3=- When you have done that exit back to the Shift schedule. Then you assign the group you made to the bus model that you made the vehicle group for. Assign the group for all your buses with the same model if you want to. -=Step 4=- Then after that go to the “Bus routes” menu. Click on “Edit timetable” for each bus line that you want to use the bus you made a group for. Use “Advanced settings” and below the days of the week for each timetable you will be able to configure the bus group you made earlier. (If you use different timetables on a line where you want the same bus model to operate on all timetables. Assign the vehicle group for them) -=Done with All the Steps=- When you have done all the steps explained in the guide you will be able to click “Assign buses automatically” in Shift schedule and the lines that you configured with a specific bus will get that bus model every time you use “Assign buses automatically”. You can do this method explained in the guide for all your buses and lines. Hope the guide helped!↑ Top
Sort the Bus Models in “Bus Fleet” and “Shift Schedule”
-------------------------------------------------------- Written by Jellie Having all buses randomly sorted in the “Bus fleet” and “Shift schedule”? This a solution on how to fix it! -=Explanation=- When buying buses the buses get a random registration. Then in the “Bus fleet” and “Shift schedule” buses are sorted in alphabetic order. Example: You buy 2 buses of the same model. One of them could get a registration that starts with A while the other one starts with B. Then if you have more buses already these 2 new buses will not appear beside each other in the “Bus fleet” and “Shift schedule”. When for example scheduling shifts its more convenient to have all buses of 1 model beside each other. -=Sorting the Models=- To fix this/sort the models, change the first letter of the registration to 1 specific letter for each bus model. So then the buses of that model will appear besides each other in for example the Shift schedule. If you have many different bus models give each a different first letter. Example: * Master – A (All Master buses will have a registration that starts with the letter A) * Sprinter – B (All Sprinter buses will have a registration that starts with the letter B) * Cito – C (All Cito buses will have a registration that starts with the letter C)↑ Top
