-=How to open the console=-
Using the Factorio console is surprisingly simple.
Just open the chat box (default is ~ or /).
If you can't find the right key: open the options screen and look for
controls, you should be able to find a control named "Toggle Lua console"
with a key right next to it.
If you want to repeat a previously executed command, press the up arrow
on your keyboard to scroll through the chat/command history.
You can use the console to spawn items, walk faster, unlock researches
and many more. Here's a bunch of useful commands.
Mine faster (Default - 1).
/c game.player.force.manual_mining_speed_modifier=100
Craft faster (Default - 1).
/c game.player.force.manual_crafting_speed_modifier=100
Laboratories research faster (Default - 1).
/c game.player.force.laboratory_speed_modifier=100
Complete all researches
(This activates all researches as if you have researched them).
/c game.player.force.research_all_technologies()
Zoom out further than usual (Zoom resets when you zoom in again.
Note: values below 0.07 are buggy and impact game performance negatively).
/c game.player.zoom=0.1
Always daytime
/c game.always_day=true
Set game speed
(Warning: higher speeds negatively affect your framerate/game performance).
/c game.speed=2
Kill all enemies
/c game.forces['enemy'].kill_all_units()
Spawn items
(Internal name: iron-plate, copper-plate, coal, steam-engine, submachine-gun,
etc. You can find more internal item names here.)
/c game.player.insert{name='internal-name', count=1}
Teleport player
/c game.player.teleport([x],[y])
Enable Cheat Mode
Cheat Mode allows free and instant crafting of any item.
Replace “true” with “false” to disable.
/c game.player.cheat_mode=true
Increase inventory size
/c game.player.force.character_inventory_slots_bonus=80
Enable Peaceful Mode
While Peaceful Mode is enabled, Biters won’t attack you until provoked.
Replace “true” with “false” to disable.
/c game.player.surface.peaceful_mode=true
Set Biter evolution factor
Minimum is 0, maximum is 1
/c game.forces[“enemy”].evolution_factor=0
Enable the map editor
toggles the map editor overlay, allowing you to alter the terrain.
/editor
Turn off pollution
Replace “false” with “true” to enable.
/c game.map_settings.pollution.enabled=false
-=More Console Commands For God Mod and Spawn Items=-
It’s worth keeping in mind that typing “/help” into the console while

for any of the below to work, you’ll need to have loaded a level.
/seed – Copies the current map’s seed
/time – Returns info about the map’s age
/toggle-action-logging – Logs all input actions that the game performs
/permissions – Opens permissions UI
/admin – Opens player management UI

/unignore – Unignores player
/kick – Kick players from server for specified reason
/mute – Mutes player
/unmute – Unmutes player
-=Cheats For Switch=-
Below, you’ll find a small set of Factorio cheats. As opposed to the console
commands above, these will disable achievements for the game they’re used in,
so keep that in mind before taking advantage of what they offer.
/cheat – Researches all technologies, enables cheat mode
/editor – Toggles map editor
/c – Executes command (examples below)
/c game.player.zoom=0.2 – Zoom past usual bounds
/c game.player.force.manual_mining_speed_modifier=1000 – Makes mining faster
/c game.player.force.manual_crafting_speed_modifier=1000 – Makes crafting faster
/c game.player.cheat_mode=true – Cheat mode, infinite crafting
/c game.player.insert{name=”item”, count=100} – Gives number of specified item

Speakers Guide (Low on Fuel)
----------------------------- Written by Bosnjo_isak. Speakers can come in very, very useful, and can potentially save your base from a slow stop. -=What are They? Use?=- Speakers are...speakers. There isn't much to them. Even tho they are simple, speakers can inform you that something is about to, or alreay has, gone wrong with you factory, or a part of it. -=Here's How You Set Them Up...=- You get speakers realatively early in the game. (Reaserch circuit newtork). All you have to do is connect the speaker to something (on my case, a storage tank, where I store light oil). After that, you have to set a condition when will the speaker go of. In my case, I've set the speaker to go of when there is more than 20000 oil in the tank. Make sure you set the alarm to be heard thoroughout the map. If you happen to have multiple alarms, it might be a good idea to give them an icon, and to show on map.↑ Top
New Hope Guide (Level 3-4 / Hard)
---------------------------------- Written by xofdibar These are some tips for beating the 3rd and 4th levels of the New Hope campaign in Factorio on Hard setting. -=New Hope - Level 3=- * Get the stacks of red ammo from the car (ctrl+click to transfer them all at once). * You need these for your turrets. * Replace the inserters and power poles on your quick access bar with bullets and repair packs. Leave an empty space on your quick access bar for the defender capsules you will recover from the first biter colony. * Drive south and then east across the bushes towards the first colony. Stop just past the bushes and set up some turrets and load them with bullets (this is where having the bullets in your quick access bar is helpful; with the bullets * selected you can ctrl+click the turrets to load 200 bullets each or ctrl+right click to just load 100 bullets in each) * Drive toward the first colony and set up some more turrets. Then take out the biter nests and small worms (this is quite easy since you are covered by your turrets, and your car's machine gun outranges the small worms). If your car is damaged hop out and repair it. * Drive up and ctrl+click the large shipwreck to recover the items. The devender capsules should now be in your quick access bar. * Drive east and then south. Launch all of the defender capsules (these are little flying turrets that follow you). The goal is to skirt around the south edge of the large biter colony * Drive in just south of the worm at the south west corner of the large colony. It's better to drive in the trees a bit (it's easier to run over trees than medium biters). With any luck you'll make it to the large shipwreck. * Ctrl+click the large shipwreck to recover the computer. Keep running from the horde of biters chasing you and you should win after a few seconds. -=New Hope - Level 4=- * On level 4 if you clear the three biter colonies to the north and north east of your base you won't be attacked for the rest of the level. * At the start of the level hop in your car and drive south east to the blue assembling machines. Open the 3 iron chests and remove the storage limits so the machines will keep producing while you are away. * Queue up 5 repair packs and clear a spot in your quick access bar, then hop in your car and drive north out of the damaged wall. * Take out the first colony (the one north west of your wall, guarded by medium worms). If you drive around the nest you can destroy all 3 of these nests while staying out of range of the worms. Fall back and fix your car from time to time. * Take out the second colony directly east of the first colony. This one is fairly easy since all the worms are small. * Take out the third colony south east of the second colony (east of your base). Driving around the nest you can destroy the nests and small worms first, then worry about the medium worms when you want to expand into this area. Now you can go back to building your base in peace, taking as long as you want. -=Some Additional Tips=- * The big worms south of your base take 6 rockets to kill, though you'll fire 7 if you aren't paying attention. You don't have to kill these worms however. * The worms at end of the path to the west of your base are easy to handle with your car's machine gun if you focus on the small worms first. You'll only have to fall back and fix your car a couple of times. The items in the large shipwrecks are nice, but not really necessary after you clear the 3 biter colonies near your base.↑ Top
Turrets Explained
------------------ You need a robust power generation if you need to fire more than a couple volleys every few minutes. Plus laser towers have a relatively high drain (the energy cost when not doing anything), which adds up after a while. More importantly, both laser and gun turrets share the same weakness, they only target the closest enemy (well, technically true for flamethrowers as well I guess but not an issue for those). This means that they have to deal with every single bitter before targetting spitters, so if you want to avoid taking damage from spiters you need a whole lot more turrets. Gun turrets also happen to increase their damage significantly faster from research, since they get the bonus for the ammo and for the turret itself, and both end up multiplicating each other. The downside being that they need ammo, and better ammo means a higher base damage as well. Flamethrower turrets work a bit differently, they “target” the closest enemy but the attack usually lands where the target was when the “shot” was fired, which makes them absolutely useless against the first few bitters. Anything coming after those will have to walk through the fire left on the ground, which does quite a bit of damage, and spitters in particular melt really quickly when in that fire (bitters also take a lot of damage but they usually have a bigger health pool so they die a bit slower). That’s why you usually want to combine flamethower turrets with either laser or gun turrets. In the late game, when you can make uranium ammo, gun turrets can absolutely destroy even the biggest bitters, but early on laser turrets do a good job as long as you can get them enough power.↑ Top
