Episode IV: Protoss
===================
1. Escape from Aiur
Mission Objectives:
-Bring Zeratul to the warp gate.
-Zeratul must survive.
Strategy:
Well, this is the 1st mission of StarCraft - Brood War and 1st of those missions
I'd like to call "puzzle" missions, and that's cuz you've no base, but only
nomadic forces (Starting forces and, most of times, reinforcements). And that's
fun, cuz you'll need a "step by step" strategy more than ever. Ok, let's start
now. Use Zeratul to destroy Nydus Canals to lower Zerg reinforcements. Protect
Zeratul with Zealots and destroy Overlords (Zerg aerial Detectors, no attack)
with Dragoons, so Zeratul can always remain cloaked. On a rush, first destroy
Nydus Canals and Spore Colonies (Zerg ground Detectors, aerial attack only;
Zeratul is very effective on that)and at the same time use Drogoons to destroy
the coming Overlords. Keep doin' this till you find the Warp Gate (Located SE).
2. Dunes of Shakuras
Mission Objectives:
-Establish a base and find the Dark Templar.
New Mission Objectives:
-Destroy the Zerg base.
Strategy:
Use a Probe to warp a Nexus near the Mineral Fields, an Assimilator on the
Vespene Geyser, and a Pylon near them. When it's done, you'll be under attack by
a small Zerg force. Exterminate it using Zealots and the help of the 4 Dark
Templars. At this time you must be mining and harvesting. Use the 4 Dark
Templars to destroy Sunken and Spore Colonies all the way till you find a Warp
Gate. Doin' so, you'll also find Mineral Fields and a Vespene Geyser at the
SWern corner of the Minimap. Warp 3 Gateways, on each warp a dozen of Dragoons
and 2 dozens of Zealots. Rush the Zerg base using the 2 dozens of Zealots in
frontline to destroy all Zerg ground units and structures, and the dozen of
Dragoons on rearward to protect Zealots from aerial attacks.
3. Legacy of the Xel'Naga
Mission Objectives:
-Destroy the Zerg cerebrates.
Strategy:
Well, Zerg Cerebrates can be destroyed only by the Dark Templar. Once mission
starts, you also must start mining and harvesting. I suggest a Probe per Mineral
Field and 4 Probes per Assimilator. Use the 4 starting Corsairs and Dragoons to
protect your base, so hold 'em to the bridge. Start warping Pylons and Photon
Cannons at the shore of the southern part of the island (There are 2 great
islands on this mission, yours and Zergs', and the point is that you must
prevent Overlords from transporting Zerg ground units to your island). Once
you've secured your base, you must be thinking for a 2nd base, cuz soon you'll
be running out of recourses. At this moment, warp another Gateway and on each 5
Dark Templars. Once you've gathered enough recourses, use a Probe to start
warping Pylons and Photon Cannons at the shore of the northern part of your
island. When it's done, Victory is just a matter of time. Start mining from the
northern Mineral Fields or if you've enough minerals, warp a Nexus and an
Assimilator. Then, warp 3 Forges, 2 Cybernetics Cores, 3 Stargates and a
Robotics Facility. Upgrade all on them and warp a dozen of Scouts, 8 Corsairs
and 3 Shuttles. Use Corsairs' Disruption Web to disrupt Spore Colonies and
Scouts to destroy them and all on the Temple's way. Use the 3 Shuttles to
transport the dozen of Dark Templars to the Temple and destroy the 2 Zerg
Cerebrates.
4. The Quest for Uraj
Mission Objectives:
-Bring Kerrigan to the Uraj crystal.
-Kerrigan must survive.
Strategy:
You've no air support in this mission (Who cares?! :). All you've to do is
warping ground units, I mean a great force. Ok, let's get started. After you've
destroyed the Terran base where you've landed, use a Probe to warp a Nexus near
the Mineral Fields, an Assimilator on the Vespene Geyser, and a Pylon near them.
When it's done, start mining and then harvesting. As always, I suggest a Probe
per Mineral Field and 4 Probes per Assimilator. At the same time, you must be
spending minerals mined on warping Pylons and Photon Cannons (Forge required),
first close to the 2 stairs leadin' to your base, and then encircleing it. Now
your base is secure, so start warping 3 Gateways, a Cybernetics Core, a Robotics
Facility, a Robotics Support Bay and a Templar Archives. Also warp 5 Reavers and
build on them 10 Scarabs (Repeat this after every single attack, especially when
you're on a rush), and 2 dozens of Dark Templars. Use 'em on a rush, in
frontline the 2 dozens of Dark Templars and on rearward the 8 Reavers, and first
destroy Missile Turrets (Terran ground Detectors, aerial attack only), so Dark
Templars can always remain cloaked, and then clear the path to the Uraj. Now
send cloaked Kerrigan to retrieve it.
5. The Battle of Braxis
Mission Objectives:
-Destroy all power generators to pierce the UED blockade.
-Artanis must survive.
Strategy:
Well, this is the 2nd "puzzle" mission. First, don't move Artanis from his
starting position (2nd Objective accomplished). Then, load the 2 Dragoons on a
Shuttle and the 4 Zealots to the other and unload them on the platform near the
1st Observer. Use 'em to destroy 2 Bunkers (You'll lose 1-2 Zealots) and then
the UED Power Generator. When it's destroyed, the Missile Turrets on that
platform will be no longer operational and then reinforcements will come. Use
the 4 Dark Templars to destroy 2 Bunkers shown. A Science Vessel (Terran aerial
Detector, no attack)will come upon 'em. Use the 4 Dragoon to destroy it. Then,
unload the 4 Dragoon and Dark Templars on the platform near the 3rd Observer.
Use the Dragoons to destroy 2 left and 2 right Missile Turrets and the Dark
Templars to destroy 3 Bunkers and all Missile Turrets. Now unload Dragoons and
Zealots on the unprotected platform near the UED Power Generator. Use the
Dragoons to destroy the 4 left Missile Turrets first, and then all on their way
to the UED Power Generator and itselft too (You'll lose all starting Zealots).
Now unload all your forces where the Dark Templars are. If you proceed ahead, a
Siege Tank will damage you. So use the 3 starting Scouts to destroy it and then
proceed with the Zealots and destroy the left and the middle Missile Turrets
(You'll lose 'em all). Then destroy the right Missile Turret using the Scouts (Do
not lose any of them). Then use the 8 Dark Templars to destroy 2 Bunkers and the
UED Power Generator. Now unload all your forces where used to be the 2nd UED
Power Generation. Use the 2 Reavers to destroy all enemy forces nearby, proceed
with the Dark Templars to the platform and destroy all Missile Turrets and
Goliaths on their way. A Vulture Spider Mine will attack the Dark Templars when
they attack the last Missile Turret on that platform. Be careful, all the way
ahead (To the UED Power Generator) is mined. So use the 4 High Templars' Psionic
Storms to clear the mined area to the UED Power Generator's platform and the 2
angled Ghosts. Then use the 3 Scouts to destroy the Missile Turret (Do not lose
any of them). Then approach a Scout near the platform and take it away once it's
attacked. A Goliath will come to the left angle. Use the High Templars' Psionic
Storm to destroy it and repeat this, so another Goliath will be destroyed. Now
use the High Templars' Hallucinations to create 8 clone Scouts (A clone can do
no damage) and use 'em to "attack" the UED Power Generator. Meanwhile, unload
the Dragoons to the platform and use 'em to destroy all enemy units on it
(Including the 2 remaining angled Ghosts) and then the UED Power Generator (At
least 4 Dragoons must survive). Then unload all Zealots and Dragoons on the last
UED Power Generator's platform and use 'em to destroy all on their way to the
UED Power Generator (1st: Bunkers, 2nd: Valkyries, 3rd: Missile Turrets in and
out of the borders). Then use the 4 Corsairs' Disruption Web to disrupt (Twice
if needed) the 2 Missile Turrets near the last UED Power Generator. Meanwhile,
you must be attacking 3 Terran Battlecruisers with the 9 Scouts. Then use the
Scouts to destroy the last 2 Missile Turrets and the last UED Power Generator.
6. Return to Char
Mission Objectives:
-Retrieve the Khalis crystal with a probe or drone.
-OR-
-Do enough damage to the Overmind to send it into remission.
Strategy:
Well, in this mission you'll have to choose between the 2 Objectives (and
races), and 1st is easier. However, if you use this strategy, you'll be able to
accomplish them both. Well, since this is a Protoss mission, I suggest to use
only Protoss. Once mission starts, you must start mining and harvesting. I
suggest a Probe per Mineral Field, 2 Drones per Mineral Field and 4 Drones per
Extractor (Zerg 17/17). At the same time, you must be spending minerals mined on
warping Pylons and Photon Cannons, first near the Observers and then encircling
your Protoss base. Near the southern Observer warp a Nexus, an Assimilator and a
Pylon. If it's placed correctly, you'll be able to encirle this base using only
its energies. Start gathering recourses nearby (2 Probes per Mineral Field, 4
per Assimilator). Warp a Cybernetics Core, a Robotics Facility, 3 Stargates and
a Fleet Beacon. Upgrade to Level 3 Plasma Shields and Air Armor, increase
Carrier Capacity (+4 Max Interceptors) and warp a Shuttle. Warp 2 dozens of
Carriers and build on each 8 Interceptors. Use a dozen to clear the path to the
Khalis, bring there a Probe loaded to a Shuttle and hold the Shuttle's position
(Do not unload the Probe!). Then use the remaining dozen to destroy all on their
way to the NW corner of the Minimap. When it's done, fly 'em across the west
till they reach the Zerg Overmind. Use 'em to kill the Zerg Overmind. When it's
left only 400/2500 of the Zerg Overmind, unload the Probe loaded inside the
Shuttle upon the Khalis. BUZZ... It won't appear any Protoss intruders or an
Overmind Cocoon, like it happens when you accomplish only one of the Objectives!
The same will happen if you use Dark Templars to kill the Zerg Overmind and
accomplish the 1st Objective at the same time. But if you use Dark Templars to
kill the Zerg Overmind and you don't accomplish the 1st Objective at the same
time, an Overmind Cocoon will appear and that's impossible, cuz only Dark
Templar can kill the Zerg Overmind. However it'll appear again on the coming
missions and Episodes (a clone Overmind, huh :)!
7. The Insurgent
Mission Objectives:
-Kill the traitor Aldaris.
Strategy:
There are 3 Aldaris on the Minimap. However, the northern Aldaris is Aldaris and
the other 2 are Hallucinations, so you'll need to Mind Control only him to be
victorius. In this mission you'll be able to merge 2 Dark Templars to create a
Dark Archon. Once mission starts, merge the 8 starting Dark Templars to create 4
Dark Archons. Then quickly start mining and harvesting (As always). Warp 4 Dark
Templars and use 'em to create another 2 Dark Archons. Meanwhile, warp 2
Robotics Facilities and on each 4 Shuttles. Then warp 2 Pylons. When you're
under attack, use the Dark Archons' Mind Controls to control the powerful
attacking enemy units and use 'em to exterminate the remaining. Load all Dark
Archons (A Dark Archon per Shuttle) and unload 'em to the northern Aldaris'
platform. At least, a Shuttle must survive. Now use the survivor Dark Archon's
Mind Control upon Aldaris.
8. Countdown
Mission Objectives:
-Bring Artanis and Zeratul to the Temple.
-Protect the Temple from the Zerg.
-Artanis and Zeratul must survive.
Strategy:
This mission starts with 2 bases (Southern base of Artanis and western base of
Zeratul)and I suggest you to keep 'em both, cuz this way it'll be easier to beat
this mission. Well, once the mission starts, you must start mining and
harvesting (I know I've said it too many times, but the way you gather and use
recourses, and if "needed" - most of times - the way you battle for them is
fundamental). At the same time, you must be spending minerals mined on warping
Pylons and Photon Cannons, first on the Zeratul's base, cuz it's less defended.
Then encircle them. Now your bases are secure. Warp on Zeratul's Gateway a dozen
of Zealots and use 'em to destroy all on their way to the Temple. Now bring
Zeratul to the Beacon. The next step consists in warping 3 Stargates (On
Artanis' base)and each of them 4-5 Carriers. Upgrade all on them (Including 8
Interceptors per Carrier)and use 'em to clear the aerial way to the Temple. Hold
'em there and bring Artanis and a dozen of Probes to the Temple (not to the
Beacon)and hold him there. Use a Probe to warp a Nexus close to the Temple and
start mining. You'll need other 3 dozens of Probes to mine faster. At the same
time, you must be spending minerals mined on warping Pylons and Photon Cannons
all over the Temple's area inside the borders. Now bring Artanis to the Beacon
and you are only 15 min away from bein' victorius. Use the Carriers to destroy
Zerg Guardians attacking the Temple's base, cuz their attacks are out of the
Photon Cannon's range.

=================
Episode V: Terran
=================
1. First Strike
Mission Objectives:
-Destroy the enemy command center.
Strategy:
Well, in this mission, on the starting land there's no gas. So, you can't build
any advanced structures and units. But this won't last forever. If you start
scouting NE, you'll find Samir Duran's base and a Vespene Geyser. However, I
suggest not to do this before you've created a solid defence. First, scout east
and build 4 Bunkers (4 Marines and an SCV per Bunker to repair it when
attacked). To do this fast, you'll need another Barracks and an SCV per Mineral
Field. Then, scout north till you find a modest enemy force and 4 Mineral
Fields. Build there a Command Center and encircle your bases with Missile
Turrets (Engineering Bay needed). Now your base is secure. Train 3 dozens of
Marines and use 'em to scout east and destroy all on their way, till they find
Duran's base. Protect it by building 3 angled Bunkers north, 2 Bunkers south and
4 Bunkers SW (4 Marines and an SCV per Bunker). Then encircle it with Missile
Turrets for aerial protection. Now build 2 Factories attached with Machine Shops
and research Siege Tank ability. Build 2 Armories and research all on them. Now
build a dozen of Siege Tanks, move 'em to the NW corner of the Minimap and use
'em to attack and destroy the enemy Command Center (Siege mode).
2. The Dylarian Shipyards
Mission Objectives:
-Steal battlecruisers.
-Defeat the Dominion strike force.
Strategy:
Well, another "puzzle" mission (3rd). On the 1st platform landed, use the 8
Marines and 4 Medics to destroy 5 Dominion Bunkers to clear the path to the
Terran Beacons (You shouldn't lose any units on this mission). On the 2nd
platform landed, Ghosts are no use. Use the 3 Medics' Optical Flares to blind 3
Siege Tanks. On the 3rd platform landed, use a Ghost to launch a Nuclear Strike
upon the Science Vessel. Then cloak and use him to clear the path. Decloak and
use him to launch another Nuclear Strike upon the first Missile Turret. Then
cloak and use him again to clear the path. Launch other 2 Nuclear Strikes, one
upon the shown Bunker and the other upon the Missile Turret. Decloak him when
it's done. On the 4th platform landed, use Medic's Restorations to restore your
Siege Tanks from enemy Ghosts' Lockdowns. Then use 'em to destroy all they can
on their way till they reach the stairs. Now use the 4 Ghosts (Cloaked) to
destroy all Siege Tanks and be careful to Lockdown and destroy first Science
Vessels. The last Bunker will be easily destroyed using the 4 Ghosts
(Decloaked), 2 Marines and 2 Medics. With the 18 Battlecruisers Acquired, it'll
be a piece of cake to defeat the Dominion strike force.
3. Ruins of Tarsonis
Mission Objectives:
-Bring Duran to the Psi Disrupter.
-Duran must survive.
New Mission Objectives:
-Destroy Zerg hives to disable Zerg broods.
-Bring Duran to the Psi Disrupter after Zerg hives are destroyed.
-Duran must survive.
Strategy:
Once mission starts, you must start mining and harvesting (Build a Refinery
first). I suggest an SCV per Mineral Field and 4 SCVs per Refinery. Also you
must spend recourses gathered to build 3 Bunkers on the east and west of your
base and 5 on the north (4 Marines loaded on each and an SCV close to repair it
when attacked). Then encircle your base with Missile Turrets for aerial
protection. Build a Factory and add on it a Machine Shop. Research on it Siege
Tank ability and build 2 Siege Tanks. Use 'em (Siege Mode)to destroy the cherry
Hive. Then build 2 Starports and add on each a Control Tower. Build a Dropship
and use it to transport the 2 Siege Tanks near the red Hive. Use 'em (Siege
Mode)to destroy this Hive and transport them back to your base. Then transport
an SCV south of your base and use it to build a Command Center and a Refinery
near the recourses, and start gathering. Also build a dozen of Wraiths and use
'em to destroy the orange Hive (Attack from north and first destroy Spore
Colonies, then move your Wraiths up to the Mineral Fields east of the Hive and
attack it till you destroy it. Now build 2 dozens of Wraiths und use 'em do
destroy the purple Hive (First destroy Overlords moving nearby, 2 Spore Colonies
and Zerg ground units). When this last Hive is destroyed, bring Duran to the
Terran Beacon.
4. Assault on Korhal
Mission Objectives:
-Destroy the enemy physics labs.
-OR-
-Destroy the enemy nuclear silos.
Strategy:
In this mission you'll have to choose between the 2 Objectives (2nd is easier).
If you choose to accomplish 1st Objective, your next mission will be 5a and if
you choose to accomplish the 2nd, now your next mission will be 5b. Start mining
and harvesting (Build a Refinery first) using an SCV per Mineral Field and 4
SCVs per Refinery. Then start building Bunkers (4 Marines loaded on each, an SCV
close to repair it when attacked and a Medic to heal your Marines if Bunker's
destroyed)to protect your base (North: 3, east: 5, south: 3, SW: 2). To do this
fast, you'll need another Barracks. Also encircle your base with Missile
Turrets. Meanwhile, build 2 Starports, add on one a Control Tower and Research
all on it. Build on them a dozen of Wraiths to protect your base from enemy
Siege Tanks' attacks. When all this is done, your base is secure. Now build a
Science Facility, add on it a Covert Ops and research all on it. Then destroy
Comsat Station attached to your Command Center (This is the only one of your
structures you'll have to destroy during all the gameplay) and add on it a
Nuclear Silo. Arm one on it and train 3 Ghosts. When it's done, use 1/3 Ghosts
(Cloaked) to scout south till an enemy Missile Turret and 2 Bunkers are shown.
Launch a Nuclear Strike upon the Missile Turret. Then arm another Nuclear Silo
and use 2/3 Ghosts to launch another Nuclear Strike upon one of the remaining
enemy ground units where you've launched the 1st Nuclear Strike. Now arm the
last Nuclear Silo and launch it using 3/3 Ghosts upon one (I suggest 1st, middle
one) of the 6 enemy Nuclear Silos. They won't be destroyed (100/600)but they'll
be on fire, so you'll have to wait about 80 sec till there're self-destroyed. If
you choose to accomplish both the 2 Objectives at the same time (Like Protoss
mission 6), by destroying at the same time the 4 Physics Labs and 6 Nuclear
Silos (First destroy 3 Physics Labs and the Sience Facility attached with the
last Physics Lab, then damage it till 137/600. At this exact moment, launch a
Nuclear Strike upon one of the 6 Nuclear Silos.), there'll be no BUZZ any more,
but only the 2st Objective will be considered accomplished!
5a. Emperor's Fall (Ground Zero)
Mission Objectives:
-Destroy Mengsk's Command Center.
Strategy:
This mission will be skipped if you've accomplished the mission 4 2nd Objective.
However, if you choose to play this misssion, you'll need a strategy (For every
single mission you'll need a strategy :). Once mission starts, you'll be under
attack. There's nothing you can do to prevent enemy Ghosts from launching their
Nuclear Silos upon you, so you must start mining (An SCV per Mineral Field) and
build 3 SCVs spending 150 starting Minerals. Keep mining till reinforcements
come. They're useless, cuz once they'll be under your control, they'll be
destroyed. Also all of your forces will be destroyed, except Command Center and
SCVs (Pretty tough huh :). However, other reinforcements (8 SCVs and 8
Marines)will come and they'll be very useful. Use 6 SCVs to build quickly 3
Supply Depots, an Engineering Bay, 2 Barracks and a Refinery (4 SCVs). Then
return them to mine. Build a Bunker NW (4 Marines loaded on each, an SCV close
to rebuild it when a Nuclear Strike is launched upon it and a Missile Turret
close), 3 Bunkers west and 4 Bunkers north. Then build 2 Starports (Factory
needed)attached with Contol Towers, a Science Facility attached with Physics Lab
and research all on it. Now build a dozen of Battlecruisers and use their Yamato
Gun to destroy Mengsk's Command Center.
5b. Emperor's Fall (Birds of War)
Mission Objectives:
-Destroy Mengsk's Command Center.
Strategy:
This mission will be skipped if you've accomplished the mission 4 1st Objective.
Nevertheless, let's get started. Once mission starts, you'll be under attack and
there's nothing you can do to prevent enemy Battlecruisers from destroying all
in their way to your Command Center. However, reinforcements will arrive (8
Goliaths, 4 Ghosts and 4 Marines). When Battlecruisers attack your forces, use
Ghosts' Lockdown to lock 'em down and then Goliaths and Marines to destroy them.
Then proceed the same way you've done in mission 5a, after the 2nd
reinforcements have come. You also will need to encircle your base with Missile
Turrets and rebuild 'em when destroyed by enemy Battlecruisers' Yamato Gun.
6. Emperor's Flight
Mission Objectives:
-Destroy Raynor's Command Center.
Strategy:
Clean up Zerg base usin' Valkyries (A new aerial unit; aerial attack only, but
the most powerful)to exterminate Zerg aerial forces and Siege Tanks to clean the
landing area from Zerg mutations. When it's done, land your structures (You can
choose different areas to land)and repair your injured units. Now start buildin'
5 Supply Depots and a Refinery (4 SCVs). You also must start mining with an SCV
per Mineral Field. Prepare your defences buildin' 3 Bunkers north (4 Marines
loaded on each, an SCV close to repair it when attacked and a Missile Turret
close)and 3 Bunkers NW. Transport 4 SCVs to the NWern hill and build there 4
angled Missile Turrets. Also transport 14 SCVs to the eastern hill and build
there 14 Missile Turrets encircling it. Add on the Factory a Machine Shop, build
4 Siege Tanks and transport them to the eastern hill to protect its middle and
southern parts. Now build a Science Facility with attached Physics Lab (Research
all on it), another Starport and add on each a Control Tower. Build a dozen of
Battlecruisers and use their Yamato Gun to destroy Raynor's Command Center.
7. Patriot's Blood
Mission Objectives:
-Find and kill Admiral Stukov.
-Duran must survive.
New Mission Objectives:
-Get to the override terminal before time runs out.
Strategy:
Well, the 4th "puzzle" mission. You've 8 Marines + 2 Medics and Duran as well. I
suggest not to move him till you've found Stukov's Beacon and you've cleared the
path to it. Move south to a Beacon and then west till you find some Civilians.
Kill 'em all! Doin' so, you'll find another Beacon showin' Goliath repair bay,
so move your forces there. On their way, you'll find a 3rd Beacon showin'
Stukov's sector. Now proceed on the Goliath repair bay an let no enemy Goliath
pilots alive. Bring a Marine on each of the 6 Goliaths located there and you'll
have 6 Goliaths instead of 6 Marines. Go ahead and you'll find an SCV (150
Minerals, 150 Vespene Gas)to repair your Goliaths. Try not to lose any Marines
or Goliaths clearing their way to the Stukov's Beacon. Then bring Duran there
(You shouldn't lose any units so far). When it's done, you've only 15 min to
accomplish the New Objective. Let the Goliaths and the SCV there (Otherwise
they'll slow you down)and proceed with 7 Marines + 2 Medics. Go ahead and kill
all Zerg ground units on their way (You'll find 2 Marines and 2 Firebats) to a
Beacon showin' a mass of Zerglings. Don't worry, they'll be an easy prey, so go
there and kill 'em all! On your way you'll find 2 Marines + 2 Medics. Take the
Marines and proceed ahead. You'll lose 'em both when attacked by 2 Ultralisks.
When you've reached the mass of Zerglings, Floor Gun Traps will help you
exterminate them (You shouldn't lose any units or Floor Gun Traps). After this
you'll be attacked by a small force of Hydralisks. Kill 'em and proceed ahead
only with a Marine. Sacrifice him to kill 2 Infested Terrans. Then go ahead till
you find some Marines killin' dozens of Zerg. Help 'em and proceed only with 10
Marines + 2 Medics. You'll be attacked by a lesser mass of Zerglings and then by
a Defiler's Plague, so proceed only with a Marine again (You shouldn't lose any
units if you play wisely). Wait till the Plague's gone, then heal him and go
ahead. Kill all the Zerglings standin' your way to the terminal. Bring a Marine
to the Beacon and Victory is yours (If proceeded correctly, time left will be
approximately 2 min).
8. To Chain the Beast
Mission Objectives:
-Bring a medic to each of the beacons surrounding the Overmind.
-Kill Zerg cerebrates to weaken the Overmind's defences.
Strategy:
This is a very tough mission and I doubt if there's any other ways leadin' to
the Victory, except the one I'm suggesting. You'll be Victorious if you
accomplish the 2nd Objective, cuz after that, accomplishing the 1st would be a
piece of cake. Fundamental in this mission are quick gathering, Marines (+2
starting Medics)for protection and Battlecruisers for rush. So once mission
starts, start mining (An SCV per Mineral Field)and build another Barracs close
to the starting one. Then build a Refinery (5 SCVs) and keep training Marines
and building Supply Depots south, cuz it's safer. Meanwhile, build 2
Starports(Factory needed) attached with Contol Towers, a Science Facility
attached with Physics Lab and research all on it. Now start building a dozen of
Battlecruisers. You'll be attacked by a Zerg Torrasque (A new strain of
Ultralisk, you'll never have the chance to play it during the Zerg Episode).
It's the toughest Zerg ground unit and you're doomed if you can't kill it (This
is wounded, the coming ones are not :). Use Battlecruisers' Yamato Gun to
destroy: 1st the Torrasque Cerebrate, 2nd the Sunken Colonies Cerebrate (You
can't attack Sunken Colonies surrounding your base till you've destroyed this
Zerg Cerebrate), 3rd the Zerg Cerebrate close to the Overmind (Attack and
destroy this Zerg Cerebrate from west, cuz it's less defended). When it's done,
the Zerg will be nothing but pets and Victory will be just a matter of time. You
can choose either to wipe out all the Zerg or to accomplish the 1st Objective.
Build an Academy, train 2 Medics (+2 starting Medics) and bring 'em to the Zerg
Beacons surrounding the Overmind.
Cinematic: UED Victory Report
================
Episode VI: Zerg
================
1. Vile Disruption
Mission Objectives:
-Rescue all hives from destruction.
Strategy:
Well, another "puzzle" mission (5th; I don't know why, but like Protoss Episode,
1st mission is a "puzzle" mission). I think this is the easiest mission of
StrarCraft - Brood War! Just use your 6 starting Hunter Killers (A new strain of
Hydralisk, you'll never have the chance to morph a Hydralisk to it during the
Zerg Episode)and 2 Zerglings to exterminate all renegade Zerg attacking 1st
Hive. Only the Hunter Killers will survive (If you play wisely, you shouldn't
lose any Hunter Killers during all mission, cuz they are irreplaceable), so use
'em to rescue the 2nd Hive killin' all renegade Hydralisks. 4 Hydralisks will be
joining your Hunter Killers. Now rescue the 3rd Hive killin' all renegade
Zerglings. 10 Scourges will be joining your forces, so use 'em to kill 5
renegade Guardians attacking the 4th Hive. When you rescue the 4th Hive, you'll
be under attack by many renegade Hydralisks. Kill 'em all usin' reinforcements.
Now rescue the 5th Hive killin' all renegade Zerg attacking it. 4 Queens will be
joining your forces and 2 renegade Ultralisks will attack your forces. Kill 'em
and proceed south. 4 other renegade Ultralisks will be attacking the 6th base.
Use your 4 Queens to spawn Broodlings to kill the 4 renegade Ultralisks. Once
it's done, the 6th base will be attacked by 8 renegade Mutalisks. Use your
forces to kill 'em all and rescue the 6th Hive. 2 Defilers will be joining your
forces. Move all of your forces to the 7th base usin' Nydus Canals. When they
reach the 7th Hive, reinforcements will help your forces to kill all renegade
Zerg attacking this base.
2. Reign of Fire
Mission Objectives:
-Destroy the Psi Disrupter.
Strategy:
Well, this mission starts with a little action and the only thing you have to do
is to sit back and be on the watch of your forces. When the Raynor's work is
done, use the Psi Emitter (By movin' it close) to lure as many Zerg as you can
back to your base. Mutate 1/2 Drones into Hatchery near the Mineral Fields (Wait
until it's done and then mutate the other Drone into Extractor, otherwise you'll
lose). When it's done, start mining and harvesting (A Drone per Mineral Field
and 4 Drones per Extractor). Then mutate a Spawning Pool, an Evolution Chamber
and the Hatchery into Lair. Also mutate a Hydralisk Den and 2 Spires (Upgrade
all on them). Then protect your base by mutating 6 Sunken Colonies and behind
them 2 Spore Colonies close to the stairs leadin' to your base. In order to
complete your protection, expand the Creep north and encircle your hill with
Spore Colonies. Now your base is secure, so morph 2 dozens of Mutalisks. Move
'em, first where used to be the UED Power Generators and then north, till you
find the UED Psi Disrupter. Use 'em to destroy it.
3. The Kel-Morian Combine
Mission Objectives:
-Obtain 10,000 minerals.
-Fenix must survive.
Optional Objective:
-Infest command centers for next mission.
Strategy:
First, ignore the Optional Objective. Second thing you have to do is to clean up
the enemy forces nearby and estabilish a base. Mutate 1/8 starting Drones into
Hatchery and another one into Extractor. Meanwhile, protect your base usin'
what's left of your starting forces. Also mutate a Spawning Pool and an
Evolution Chamber. When mutating is over, start mining and harvesting (As
always, a Drone per Mineral Field and 4 Drones per Extractor). As soon as you
can, mutate a Hydralisk Den, the Hatchery into Lair and expand your Creep north
to the narrow by mutating 10 Sunken Colonies (5 on each side), 4 Spore Colonies
(2 on each side)and burrowing a dozen of Hydralisks. When it's done, exterminate
all enemy forces on the hill nearby and mutate a Hatchery near the Mineral
Fields. Protect this new base by mutating a Spore Colony and 3 Sunken Colonies
close to the stairs leadin' to this base. Also mutate 3 Spore Colonies north and
start mining (A Drone per Mineral Field). Use the 1st base Drones (When their
work there is done) to mine the 2nd base Mineral Fields, so mining will be
faster. You'll have to protect your bases till you've reached the resource
quota.
4. The Liberation of Korhal
Mission Objectives:
-Destroy all enemy bases.
Strategy:
Once mission starts, start mining and harvesting (Extractor needed; a Drone per
Mineral Field and 4 Drones per Extractor). Then mutate an Evolution Chamber, a
Hydralisk Den, SEern Hatchery into Lair (Evolve all on it)and quickly encirle
your base (SW: 6 Sunken Colonies and 2 Spore Colonies mutated in 2 lines
combined: Sunken-Sunken-Spore-Sunken, north: 5 Sunken Colonies and 3 Spore
Colonies behind them, NW close to the stairs: 5 Sunken Colonies and an Overlord
close to them, west: 4 Spore Colonies; remutate them when destroyed). Meanwhile,
you must protect your base usin' your starting forces and morphin' 3 dozens of
Hydralisks. Now that your base is secure, mutate a Queen's Nest, Lair into Hive
and 2 Spires (One of them into Greater Spire; upgrade all on them). Meanwhile,
morph 2 dozens of Mutalisks and one of them to Guardians. When all this is done,
resources close to your base will be depleted, so you better think for new
bases. Use the dozen of Guardians to destroy all enemy bases (Blue and pet Zerg
ones, except the main UED base)surrounding your base and the dozen of Mutalisks
to protect them from enemy aerial units. When it's done, start mutating
Hatcheries (Protect each one mutating close 4 Sunken Colonies and 2 Spore
Colonies)where used to be your enemy bases. Then start mining and harvesting on
each (A Drone per Mineral Field and 4 Drones per Extractor, mutate them first).
Now Victory is just a matter of time! Spend resources gathered on morphin'
dozens of Guardians (Use 'em to destroy the main UED base)and Scourges (Use 'em
to protect the Guardians from enemy aerial units, especially Valkyries).
5. True Colors
Mission Objectives:
-Destroy the enemy bases.
-Kill Duke.
-Kill Fenix.
Strategy:
Once mission starts, you've only 6 min to destroy 1/2 races bases and I suggest
Terran bases, cuz it's easier this way. Start mining with all starting Drones
and use the Zerglings to destroy the 1st Command Center and all SCVs, the
Hydralisks to destroy the 2nd one and all SCVs, the Lurkers (Burrowed between
Academy and Engineering Bay)to destroy the last one and half a dozen of
Zerglings to destroy all SCVs there. Fall 'em back to your base when all SCVs
are destroyed. Also fall back all Hydralisks to protect your base, cuz you'll be
under attack once time's up. When it happens, quickly encircle your base with 20
Sunken Colonies (U formation). Then mutate an Evolution Chamber, an Extractor (4
Drones)and northern Hatchery into Lair (Evolve all on it). Meanwhile, on
rearward mutate 10 Spore Colonies (U formation too). When it's done, mutate a
Queen's Nest, Lair into Hive, 2 Spires (One of them into Greater Spire; upgrade
all on them). Meanwhile, morph a dozen of Mutalisks and then morph 'em to
Guardians. Use 'em to destroy what's left from the 1st and 2nd Terran bases.
When it's done, morph 2 dozens of Scouges and use the Guardians to destroy
what's left from the last Terran base (Protect them with Scouges from
Battlecruisers or Wraiths attacks). Between the 2nd Terran base and the 3rd one,
you'll find Duke's Battlecruiser Norad II (1500=500*3). Kill him (Usin' 15
Scourges)and exterminate the Terran presence. When it's done, resources close to
your base will be depleted. Don't worry, you've won the battle for resources.
Use an Overlord to transport a Drone where used to be each Command Center and
mutate on each a Hatchery. Also mutate a Hatchery on a little island south of
your base. Start mining and harvesting on these new bases (A Drone per Mineral
Field and 4 Drones per Extractor, mutate them first). You must protect these
bases encicling them with Sunken and Spore COlonies. Spend resources gathered on
morphin' dozens of Guardians and Scourges and use 'em to rush and destroy all
Protoss bases (Use the Guardians to destroy the Protoss bases and the Scourges
to protect them from Protoss aerial units). Don't forget to kill Fenix's Dragoon
(800=80*10 800=100*8; located between the 2nd Protoss base and the 3rd one).
6. Fury of the Swarm
Mission Objectives:
-Destroy the renegade zerg.
New Mission Objectives:
-Kill all UED Scientists.
Strategy:
Once mission starts, 4 Hatcheries will be under attack by the renegade Zerg.
Don't worry, all of them will be destroyed and there's nothing you can do.
However, your main base is safe, cuz it's upon an island, so you'll have to
protect this island. First start mining and harvesting (A Drone per Mineral
Field and 4 Drones per Extractor), than mutate an Evolution Chamber and 2
starting Creep Colonies into Spore Colonies. Now quickly mutate 7 Spore Colonies
on a line west and NW, and 4 Sunken Colonies SW. When it's done, the New
Objective will replace the first. Now encircle your base with Spore Colonies
(First, north, then south and east; remutate them when destroyed). Also morph a
dozen of Scourges to kill the enemy Guardians attacking your base (When they're
all suicided, redo this action). Now your base is secure. Mutate a Queen's Nest,
Lair into Hive (Envolve all on it), Spire into Greater Spire. Now morph a dozen
of Mutalisks. Move 'em close to your southern ex-base and morph 'em all into
Guardians. Use the dozen of Guardians to destroy the enemy base. Use an Overlord
to transport 3 Drones there and start mutating a new base (Hold the dozen's of
Guardians position to protect it). First restart mining and harvesting (As
above; you can use your 1st base Drones, if their work there is done). Then
encircle it with Sunken Colonies in front and on rearward with Spore Colonies.
Now morph 3 dozens of Mutalisks and one of them into Guardians. Use the dozen of
Guardians to destroy the UED base and to kill all 30 UED Scientists, and the 2
dozens of Mutalisks to protect them (You may kill the Drones, - if there's left
no Mineral Fields close to your bases - or any other underlings, if you have too
many).
7. Drawing of the Web
Mission Objectives:
-Bring Duran to each zerg beacon.
-Duran must survive.
Strategy:
You've no air support in this mission (Like Protoss mission 4; you should care
this time :). Once mission starts, (As always)start mining and harvesting
(Extractor needed). Then mutate an Evolution Chamber and southern Hatchery into
Lair. In order to protect your base encircle it with Sunken and Spore Colonies
(North: 4 Sunken Colonies in line formation and 4 Spore Colonies in square
formation, west: 4 Sunken Colonies and 3 Spore Colonies both in line formation,
NW close to the stairs: 5 Sunken Colonies circlin' the stairs and 3 Spore
Colonies behind them, N-E: 5 Spore Colonies and also mutate all starting Creep
Colonies into Spore Colonies; replace them when destroyed). Now your base is
secure, so mutate a Queen's Nest, Lair into Hive (Evolve all on it)and an
Ultralisk Cavern (Evolve all on it too). Soon you'll be runnin' out of
resources, so south of your base mutate a Hatchery and an Extractor and start
mining and harvesting (2 Drones per Mineral Field and 4 Drones per Extractor).
Protect this new base mutating west 5 Sunken Colonies and, behind them, 4 Spore
Colonies (Line formation). Now move your first base Drones (Cuz their work there
is done)north till you find some Mineral Fields. Mutate there a Hatchery and
start mining (A Drone per Mineral Field). Protect it mutating 4 Sunken Colonies
NW and 6 Spore Colonies (Reversed T formation). When all 3 bases are secured,
mutate a Defiler Mound on your first base (Evolve all on it). Meanwhile, move a
couple of Drones west of the closest Beacon and mutate a Hatchery and an
Extractor. Start mining and harvesting (A Drone per Mineral Field and 4 Drones
per Extractor) on this new base. Protect this 4th base mutating south 8 Sunken
Colonies 2 Spore Colonies (Line formation; 1st line: 5 Sunken Colonies, 2nd
line: 3 Sunken Colonies and 2 Spore Colonies combined). When all this is done,
mutate a dozen of Defilers and 3 dozens of Ultralisks. Send the 2 dozens of
Ultralisks and 2 Overlords to the SWern corner of the Minimap (Destroy one of
your Sunken Colonies to clear the path for the Ultralisks)and use 'em to destroy
a Protoss base there. Now morph a dozen of Ultralisks and use 'em (Escorted with
2 Overlords)to destroy all surrounding the closest Beacon (First, send 3
Defilers and use their Plague to weaken Protoss strongest units). Repeat this
action for the next 3 Beacons (Send cloaked Duran on each Beacon after each
rush) and leave the NWern Beacon last (This time just send Duran there, but be
careful, he must be full healthy).
8. To Slay the Beast
Mission Objectives:
-Destroy the Overmind with Dark Templar.
-Must be able to have Dark Templar.
Strategy:
Once mission starts, you must start mining and harvesting (As always). Protect
your base (Especially Protoss structures)from possible enemy attacks till you've
mutated 4 Sunken Colonies and 2 Spore Colonies NW and NE, 5 Spore Colonies
north, 3 Sunken Colonies and 2 Spore Colonies SE. Also mutate a Hatchery (An
Extractor too)near the Mineral Fields on the hill nearby and start mining and
harvesting(2 Drones per Mineral Field and 4 Drones per Extractor). Then envolve
all on the Lair and warp 6 Dark Templars (3 on each Gateway). Meanwhile, mutate
a Queen's Nest, Lair into Hive, 2 Spires (one into Greater Spire)and upgrade all
on them. Load all Dark Templars in 2 Overlords (4 on each Overlord) and morph 2
dozens of Mutalisks. When you've gained 1200 Minerals and 2400 Vespene Gas, move
your forces (2 dozens of Mutalisks and 2 Overlords) to the SEern corner of the
Minimap. Meanwhile, your base will be under attack. It doesn't matter if it'll
be destroyed, just be careful to morph all Mutalisks to Guardians before the
Greater Spire is destroyed. Then move the 2 dozens of Guardians north till you
find the Overmind. Use 'em to weaken it (Be careful not to destroy it, cuz it'll
be restored). Meanwhile, unload the 8 Dark Templars and use 'em to kill the
Overmind (Remember, Zerg Cerebrates and Overmind can be destroyed only by the
Dark Templar).
9. The Reckoning
Mission Objectives:
-Destroy the Protoss base within 30 minutes.
-Recover the Matriarch and Zeratul.
Strategy:
The only thing you'll have to worry in this mission is running out of time, cuz
if you accomplish the 1st Objective within 25 min, a bonus level will be
activated (When 1st Objective is accomplished, the 2nd will be self-
accomplished)! Once mission starts, start mining and harvesting (As always)and
canton your starting ground forces (North: Ultralisk, SE: Zerglings and a Lurker
burrowed, SW: Hydralisks and the other Lurker burrowed too)to protect your base
from modest terran attacks (28 min left). Key of success is knowin' to use the
aerial units like Mutalisks, Guardians and Scourges in combined attacks against
the Protoss. First morph 3 Overlords and 2 Mutalisks. Then morph other 8
Mutalisks and move 'em and the 2 starting Guardians near the Statis Cell hill
(25 min left). Morph 6 Scouges and all Mutalisks to Guardians (20 min left). Use
the Guardians to destroy everything surrounding the Statis Cell. Meanwhile morph
other 18 Scouges and move 'em all (2 dozens)to the Statis Cell. Use a dozen of
Scouges to destroy Carriers near the Stargate (16 min left). Then morph another
dozen of Scourges and move 'em where your forces are (13 min left). Use the
dozen of Guardians to destroy first the Nexus and all Probes (Use the dozens of
Scourges to protect the Guardians from Protoss aerial units), second the
Stargate, then all Protoss ground units possible to attack your forces and
finally all Protoss base (5 min 10-15 sec left, if proceeded correctly). At this
point, you better save the game (F10, S, , Enter), so
you can access the coming mission from its beginning.
Bonus Scenario. The Dark Origin
Mission Objectives:
-Investigate the energy signature.
-Zeratul must survive.
Strategy:
Well, the last "puzzle" mission (6th)and my favourite one for 4 reasons: 1st:
it's not accessible for all (So you better save the game once mission starts -
F10, S, , Enter); 2nd: you can build (A Supply
Depot), unlike the other "puzzle" missions; 3rd: during this mission you'll gain
control over the 3 races at the same time; 4th: you'll hear about Protoss/Zerg
Hybrid from Duran, Xel'Naga's servant (Remember when you've beaten StarCraft
Episode II: Zerg 10. Full Circle, the Overmind - not this pet Overmind killed by
Zeratul, the one killed by Tassadar when StrarCraft ends - said: "Protoss were
the first creation, gifted with a purity of form. Zerg were the second creation,
blessed with a purity of essence. Indeed, the two species are but opposite
facets of a greater whole. Soon shall the two races be made as one. Thenceforth
shall all feel the wrath of the eternal Swarm..."). Well, I think in this hidden
mission the two races start to be made as one, but however, you won't see the
Hybrid during the gameplay (Hope we will, on StarCraft II!). After all, let's
start. An Arbiter (Can an Arbiter transport Protoss ground units?!)will unload
Zeratul, 4 Dark Archons and 2 Dragoons. Dragoons are useless, so you'll proceed
only with Zeratul and the Dark Archons. First, proceed with Zeratul, kill 3
Marines and destroy 2 Siege Tanks. When it's done, a Science Vessel will
approach. Use a Dark Archon's Mind Contol to gain contol over it. Proceed again
with Zeratul, destroy a Missile Turret and kill 3 Marines (A Siege Tank will
attack Zeratul)till you find a Stasis Cell and a Beacon. Do not move Zeratul to
the Beacon (Otherwhise a High Templar will die), but use him to damage the
Stasis Cell till it's left 20/2000. Remember that Siege Tank that attacked
Zeratul before, move him close to it, but do not attack it (Hold his position).
Now use again the Dark Archon's Mind Contol to control this Siege Tank.
Meanwhile protect it from enemy attacks usin' Zeratul. Then procced south with
Zeratul, kill all Marines (Except one), destroy a Barracks and hold his
position. Then quicky move another Dark Archon close to the first. A Dropship
will approach to the Siege Tank. Use the second Dark Archon's Mind Contol to
contol it before it unloads any units (2 Medics and 4 Ghosts). Now use the Siege
Tank to destroy a Pylon shown close. Meanwhile, fall back Zeratul to protect it
from enemy attacks. Now move the Siege Tank where the Dark Archons are, then
near the damaged Stasis Cell. A Battlecruiser will be shown. Use the Siege Tank
to destroy another Pylon shown, then Zeratul to destoy Photon Cannons. Also use
a Dark Archon's Mind Contol to gain contol over the Battlecruiser. Move the
Battlecruiser south till you find and kill a Marine and also destroy a Science
Facility. Proceed east with Zeratul till you find another Stasis Cell. Destroy
it (Never move Zeratul to Beacons close to Stasis Cells). A High Templar will be
freed. Now proceed south again with 2 Dark Archons and use one's Mind Control to
control the left Marine. Stasis Cell nearby will explode and an Infested Terran
will be freed. Use other's Mind Contol to control this "little Hybrid". Finally
all 3 races are under your control (This is great, isn't it?! :)! Then proceed
west till you find some stairs leadin' to another Stasis Cell. Kill a Marine and
destroy a Science Facility usin' Zeratul (Hold his position after that). Also
use the 2 Dark Archons' Mind Controls to gain control over a Genetic Engineer
and an SCV. You'll obtain 100 Minerals and 100 Vespene Gas when you gain contol
over the SCV, which you can use to build (A Supply Depot)or to repair your
mechanical units (Usin' my strategy no units - except Zeratul's Protoss
recovering energy shield 400 - will be killed or destroyed). When it's done, use
Zeratul to destroy the Stasis Cell. An Archon will be freed. Then proceed SW
with Zeratul and kill some Marines till you find a patroling Science Vessel.
When it reaches the eastern corner of a platform shown, contol it usin a Dark
Archon's Mind Control. Now proceed ahead till you find and destroy a Missile
Turret. You'll also find another Stasis Cell. Use the Battlecruiser to kill all
Marines upon the platform (If played wisely, they won't damage it). Now move the
Dropship near the Stasis Cell and use Zeratul to destroy it (Once it's
destroyed, move Zeratul away). When it's destroyed, a High Templar and 3
Zerglings will be freed. Quickly load the High Templar in the Dropship, cuz
he'll be under attack by the Zerglings and unload him far away. Then bring the
Dropship back to the Zerglings and 3 Dark Archons close (But not as close, cuz
they'll be attacked by the Zerglings). Use their Mind Controls (One after
another)to control the Zerglings (One after another). Once a Zergling is under
your control, load it to the Dropship and unload it far away, cuz it'll be
attacked by the other Zergings. Repeat this action till all 3 Zerglings be under
your control. Then proceed with Zeratul till you find some Firebats. Kill 'em
all (Except one)and move there all Dark Archons and the Battlecruiser. Use
last's Dark Archon's Mind Contol to control the left Firebat. Some Wraiths will
be shown. Proceed ahead with Zeratul till you find the last enemy base and
destroy 3 Siege Tanks. A Science Vessel will approach patroling. Control all the
Wraiths (One by one; if played wisely, no Wraiths will be damaged)and 2
Battlecruisers. Then move Zeratul where used to be 3 Siege Tanks and when the
Science Vessel approaches again, control it (It'll be damaged, but it can be
saved). Once it's done, a modest enemy force will come after you. Exterminate it
usin' Zeratul and move him south of the base. First, destroy a Missile Turret,
then a Bunker and kill all Marines patroling. Do the same north (2 Missile
Turrets, a Bunker and a Barracks; you must wait till Zeratul's energy shield
recovers). You'll find the Last Stasis Cell containing the Protoss/Zerg Hybrid
(It cannot be attacked and destroyed, unlike the other Stasis Cells; I wish it
could, so the Hybrid'll be freed and it could be controled usin' a Dark Archon's
Mind Control). Again do not move Zeratul to the Beacon, but use him to destroy
first, last 2 Missile Turrets (When attacked, you must wait till Zeratul's
energy shield recovers), then everything surrounding the Hybrid's Stasis Cell
(You can control what's left from strong enemy units, like: Battlecruisers,
Wraiths, Siege Tanks, Ghosts). When there's no enemy forces left, first save the
game (F10, S, , Enter), then move Zeratul to each
Beacon or simply to the Hybrid's one and you'll be Victorious (You haven't lost
any units at all!). All this happens approximately on an hour.
10. Omega
Mission Objectives:
-Destroy all enemy forces.
Strategy:
Well, well, well, you've come to the end (Omega, you know, that Alpha & Omega
thing... Who am I kidin' to, the worse is yet to come! :). However, this is the
last and top mission of StarCraft - Brood War. I'd better say this mission is
hell itself (I don't know what the hell Blizzard team was thinkin' when
programmed this mission, but certainly I doubt they'd have created another one
harder and balanced at the same time :)and that's for 2 reasons: 1st - you'll
need strong nerves and lots of patience to succeed over this mission (I mean,
usin' no cheats!), 2nd - Kerrigan will be "the Queen Bitch of the Universe"
after all. I'm writin' down a step by step guide (I better call this a
miniwalkthrough), but I think you should save your progress a lot of times in
case that anything goes wrong (Just in case, that doesn't mean smth'll go
wrong). However, if you call yourself a worthy player, you should try to beat
this mission (And the whole game)usin' no cheats or my walkthrough (Who am I
kidin' to, you're readin' it, aren't you?! :). Ok, now let's get started. Here's
a "7 steps" stategy: 1st: mutate (Remutate when destroyed)and protect your base;
2nd: destroy 2 Protoss Nexuses and all Probes close to them; 3rd: destroy 2 UED
Command Centers and all SCVs close to them; 4th: destroy 5 Dominion Command
Centers and all SCVs close to them (Now your enemy bases can't be expanded, so
practically Victory is just a matter of time); 5th: destroy all Dominion forces
(When it's done, Mengsk will appear and "congratulate" you); 6th: destroy all
UED forces (When it's done, DuGalle will appear and surrender beggin' for
mercy); 7th: destroy all Protoss forces (When it's done, Artanis will appear and
say that Protoss shall be watchin' you). If you proceed this way, you'll be
Victorious in the end. However, you may find it difficult, so I'll explain it
for you step by step. Once mission starts, you must start mining and harvesting
(As always, a Drone per Mineral Field and 4 Drones per Extractor). Then mutate 4
Sunken Colonies north (Close to the stairs)and morph 8 Hydralisks (Use 'em and
your starting forces to protect your base). Expand the Creep SW mutating 2
Sunken Colonies, a Spore Colony, other 2 Sunken Colonies (X formation, in the
extremes mutate the Sunken Colonies and in the center the Spore Colony), 4
Sunken Colonies close to the stairs and behind them 2 Spore Colonies. Also
expand the Creep NE mutating 2 Sunken Colonies, a Spore Colony, other 2 Sunken
Colonies (X formation, like SW), 6 Sunken Colonies close to each stairs (Line
formation, 2 lines) and between them 3 Spore Colonies. Meanwhile, evolve all on
the Hive and mutate 2 Spires (One of them into Greater Spire). When it's done,
encircle your base with Spore Colonies (Chain formation, one after another)and
upgrade all on the Spires. Now your base is secured (Remutate them all when
destroyed), so you must think for new bases, cuz you'll need lots of resources
to spend protecting your main base or rushin' the enemy bases. Morph 6 Mutalisks
and send 'em and an Overlord SW to kill Dominion Ghosts before launchin' Nuclear
Silos (You'll be warned - Nuclear launch detected - when a cloaked Ghost will
start launchin' a Nuclear Silo upon one of your units - aerial or ground ones -
or mutatings and a red light will point the place where it'll explode, so
quickly send there the Overlord to detect the cloaked Ghost and the Mutalisks to
kill that Ghost before he moves, otherwise the Nuclear launch won't be
cancelled; replace the Overlord and Mutalisks when killed). Then morph 2 dozens
of Mutalisks and move 'em, first to the SWern corner of the Minimap (There
you'll find several Mineral Fields and a Vespene Geyser close to them), then
across the south till they reach a platform. Hold a dozen there and move the
other dozen to the SEern corner of the Minimap (Again you'll find several
Mineral Fields). Then morph the 2 dozens of Mutalisks to Guardians and move each
of them north, till they find the 2 Protoss Nexuses. Use 'em to destroy the
Nexuses (At the same time)and all Probes close to them (Make sure to leave no
Probes alive!). Now Protoss are paralysed! When it's done, you'll be runin' out
of Vespene Gas, so you'll need new bases. Send 2 Overlords (2 Drones loaded on
each) to the SWern corner of the Minimap and then one to the SEern one. At the
SWern corner of the Minimap mutate a Hatchery (Close to the Mineral Fields)and
an Extractor (7 Drones). Protect this new base by mutating 6 Sunken Colonies
north, 4 Spore Colonies west and NE (Leave the Extractor out). Also morph 6
Mutalisks to prevent Dominion Ghosts from launchin' Nuclear Silos. When it's
done, at the SEern corner of the Minimap mutate a Hatchery (Close to the Mineral
Fields)and encirle it with Spore Colonies (Chain formation; only with Spore
Colonies, cuz there's no stairs leadin' to this platform). Now start mining and
harvesting on these new bases (A Drone per Mineral Field). On the main base
morph 2 dozens of Guardians. First, move a dozen to the NWern corner of the
Minimap and then, the other dozen close to the NEern one (Till you find several
Mineral Fields and a Vespene Geyser close to them; destroy all UED Missile
Turrets on their way). Then fall back the 1st dozen till you find some stairs
leadin' to an UED Command Center. Use 'em to destroy this Command Center and all
SCVs close to it (Make sure to leave no SCVs alive!); meanwhile, use the other
dozen to do the same NE. When it's done, UED will be paralysed too! Now morph a
dozen of Guardians to the main base. Also mutate a Hatchery (And an
Extractor)south of your main base, close to the Mineral Fields. Start mining and
harvesting on this base (A Drone per Mineral Field and 4 Drones per Extractor).
Protect this base mutating 7 Sunken Colonies and 3 Spore Colonies west (Angle
formation; between the bridge and the stairs), 9 Sunken Colonies east (5 on a
line close to the bridge and other 4 on another line close to the stairs) and 5
Spore Colonies south (Line formation; close to the pipes). Now morph other 3
dozens of Guardians to the SWern base. Use a dozen to destroy a Dominion Command
Center and all SCVs close to it (Located up to your base). Proceed north with
the other 2 dozens till you find 3 Command Centers attached with Nuclear Silos.
Meanwhile, use the dozen of Guardians morphed to the main base to attack the
Dominion base from east. Doin' so, all Dominion aerial units will be
straightened to the dozens of Guardians attacking their bases. So use a dozen of
Guardians to destroy the 3 Command Centers and the other dozen to destroy
another Command Center (Located north of them)and all SCVs close to it (Make
sure to leave no SCVs alive!). Now Dominion, the last enemy standin' a chance
against your forces, will be paralysed! So, practically Victory is just a matter
of time, cuz now any of your enemy bases can't be expanded any more! Morph
dozens of Guardians (To "massacre" what's left from the ruins)and Scourges (To
protect them in their rushes). When you'll be runin' out of resources, you
better mutate Hatcheries (And Extractors)close to the resources found when
you're rushin' the UED bases. When no one's standin' on its feet (I mean, at
least alive :), you'll be supreme Victorious!

call yourself a worthy player (I swear, every single mission is balanced and I
beat the game - before I started to write this walkthrough - usin' no cheats at
all).
However, do as you please! I can't forbid you!

I'd like to say Thank You to:
-Blizzard Entertainment for this great game (This is my 1st PC-game and it's
like the 1st love, you can't forget it :), and hope StarCraft II will be
released soon.
-you (Yes, you again! :), for reading all above.
-you, who e-mail me for any suggestions (I probably won't reply your e-mails, so
consider yourself thanked).
-this website (Special thanks), for publishing this walkthrough.
-My Computer, for its precious help (I wouldn't have done all this without you
:).
That's all, Folks!!!
