Cheats:

Additionally, following it through will alter critical game files. Be sure to
make back-up files of the files you are altering, or be ready to re-install
the game. If you have no idea what you're doing, or no idea what we're referring
to/talking about, do not attempt this hack.
Locate the directory C:\Program Files\SEGA\Alpha Protocol\APGame\Config\
(this is default install path).
Find and back-up the file "DefaultLevelChart.ini" into something like
"DefaultLevelChart_ini.BAK" or "DefaultLevelChart_ini.BACK".
This is the file where you will find the AP points you will have, as well as the
skill cap maxima.
An example syntax is:
LevelChart(MinXPNeeded=0, APGained=30, SkillCap=4, SpecialSkillCap=4)
Alter it to something along the lines of:
LevelChart(MinXPNeeded=0, APGained=500, SkillCap=10, SpecialSkillCap=15)
With the above example, you will now get 500 AP points and can max out to skill
cap below special skill level. Be sure to save the file as a *.INI file
(Notepad will generally allow you to edit INI files) and not as a *.TXT file.
Boot the game and wreak havoc.
Cheat Codes:

There is also the "DefaultDamageTypesData.ini"
This is where you can edit the damage, armor and recoil of the different ammo
types you will come across.
For example you can change the tranquilizer damage to 100:
APGame.APDmgType_Traquilizer
BaseDamage=-100
ArmorPenetration=-100
There is also the "DefaultGame.ini". Here you can edit the perk unlock requirements
so you can easier get their bonuses:
APGame.APRPG_AbilityManager; Accessed with Perk enumerations.
PerkAcquisitionRequiredCount[0]=25 ;Demolitions Expert - Kill this many enemies
with Explosive Grenades.
If you want to get it for the first person you kill with a grenade you would do this:
PerkAcquisitionRequiredCount[0]=1
All you need to do is change the ={number here}
Unlimited Ammo:
---------------
On the level called "Intercept Nasri the Arms Dealer" there is an area that
you can pick up unlimited ammo. When you finish the objective "Defeat Nasri's
Guards" do not leave that room. There are three sets of stairs with a door
behind two of the and one with a table across the top. In front of the table
is an ammo pick up. This pick up will res-pawn every thirty seconds indefinitely.
The type of ammo is random.
During "Investigate Marburg's Villa", in the garden at the end of the level
there are two ammo piles on the north and south sides that re-spawn if you move
back to the doors.

It is possible to unlock all skill to level 15, editing DefaultLevelChart.ini located
in APgame\Config. Open the .ini with any text only editor and rewrite all the level
cap to 15: SkillCap=15,SpecialSkillCap=15
After this you will still see the level 10 limitation in the character screen, but the
game will accept the value.
After gainer your first level in the interrogatory room edit your save with any hex editor,
Documents\Alpha Protocol\Checkpoints:
SKILL_PRIMARY_STEALTH_Level 000000 0F 0000001C. The 0F is 15 in hex, this value is always
in the same position for every skill in the game both active and passive, leave the last
value, 1C in this case, alone.
SKILL_PRIMARY_PISTOLS_Level 00000000 0F 00000019. remember that only primary skill reach
15 both specialized and not, all the others have lower limit:
SKILL_PASSIVE_PISTOL_RAPID_RELOAD_Level 00000000 01 0000002A. in this case the max value
is 1 (01). Critical hit has always max of 4 (04).
Check the limit of every value and write directly in the save, Backup first!
When open the character screen the game will ask to save the change even if you haven't
touch anything, ALWAYS SAY NO! Or the value will return to normal, 15 for specialized
skill, 10 for all the others.
If the save got edited before having done the .ini change, the value will return normal
at game start.
Easy ammunition in "Intercept Nasri The Arms Dealer" mission:

Successfully complete the "Defeat Nasri's Guards" objective, and remain in that room.
There are three sets of stairs, with a door behind two of them and another with a table
across the top. In front of that table is an random ammunition collectable.
This collectable will respawn after approximately thirty seconds.
Easy ammunition in "Investigate Marburg's Villa" mission:

At the end of the mission, you can find two ammo collectibles in the garden on the
north and south sides. They will respawn after you move back to the doors.
Customizing appearance:

You can customize your character's appearance again by going to the bathroom.
Clever way to spend money:
--------------------------
When you got some money to spend, it's always good to consider using it for your
next mission, more precisely to make it easier for you. Weapons and armor are very
important, but that aside it's always worth seeing if you can buy help for the missions.
PMC's are often offering their services and some friends can help as well. Keep an eye
on the online market, but remember that mercenaries aren't cheap.
