Change difficulty setting without starting a new game:

Although the game doesn't give you the option, the difficulty setting
can be changed at any point.
- Go to Vivisector's DATA/Save folder.
- Find the cfg file for your current savegame (Looking at the thumbnail
images may help), and load it in a text editor.
- Edit a line near the bottom of the file (just before the 'player
statistics' section):
@game_difficulty = x
where 'x' is a number from 0 - 3 inclusive.
0 is the 'easy' setting so 1 is medium, 2 is hard and 3 is extreme.
