How To Unlock More Hairstyles & Hair Colors
-------------------------------------------- If you want more new options to customize your character beyond the initial ones seen at the start of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, like new hairstyles and hair colors, you’ll need to purchase the unlock through Nook Miles. Head to the Nook Stop terminal (it looks like an ATM!) inside of Resident Services to access the Redeem Nook Miles menu. Inside of this menu, you’ll find a variety of exciting new features to unlock by exchanging your hard- earned Nook Miles currency. There’s a lot of interesting unlocks to purchase here, but you’ll want to focus in on the following three to access new character appearance options: * Top 8 Pop Hairstyles * Top 8 Cool Hairstyles * Top 8 Stylish Hair Colors↑ Top
How to Time Travel
------------------- To time travel in New Horizons, follow the steps below: * Save your Animal Crossing: New Horizons game, press the ‘Home’ button to return to the Nintendo Switch home screen. * Press X on the Animal Crossing: New Horizons tile and close the game. * Go to the bottom bar and over to System Settings, and then press A to enter. * In System Settings, scroll all the way down the left-hand side to the System option, and then press A. * Within the System menu, select Date and Time by hovering over the option and pressing A. * Here, you’ll see that the option to Synchronise Clock via Internet is switched to On. Press A here to unlock the option to change the Date and Time setting. If you’re offline, you can go down to Date and Time straight away. * Go down to the Date and Time option and change the settings to the time and month of your choice, enabling you to time travel in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. * Once you’ve changed the date, back out of the settings menus, get back into the game, and go fishing.↑ Top
How to Cross Rivers
-------------------- To cross a river in New Horizons, you’ll need to build a Vaulting Pole. To craft a Vaulting Pole, you’ll need to acquire the recipe from a certain famous owl. Early in the game, you’ll be asked to put down a tent for Blathers, who’s interested in the local fauna. The day after you’ve set-up Blathers’ tent, the owl museum curator will move to your island. Speak to Blathers as soon as you can as they give you the crafting recipe for a Vaulting Pole and the all-important Flimsy Shovel. Once you visit a crafting station, you’ll learn that you need five pieces of softwood to craft the Vaulting Pole. To get these, you’ll need to chop trees with your Axe (by pressing A against a tree). Doing so will produce one of three types of wood, with the lightest in color being the softwood. With your Vaulting Pole in hand, all you have to do is approach the bank of a river, move in the direction that you want to vault, and then press A to cross rivers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.↑ Top
How Do I Remove Rocks?
----------------------- Eat a fruit before you strike a rock and it will crumble, leaving a single solitary resource behind. This cuts you off from a source of resources but might be necessary if a rock is in the way of an important structure. Rocks will regenerate in a few days, popping up in random spots on your island.↑ Top
The Item Duping Glitch
----------------------- This glitch requires a placeable item, a placeable surface, and a local friend (or a dummy account and a second controller). Note that a placeable item is specifically something you can place as a piece of furniture, not just an item you can drop. First, put down your placeable surface. These are things like a cardboard box or table. Then, put an expensive placeable item on top of the surface. Put your local friend on one side of the surface while you stand on the other side. Here’s what you must do. Have your friend rotate the surface with the placeable item on it. Then, in the middle of the rotation animation press the Y button to take the item off the surface. If you do this right, you will pocket a copy of the item while the item itself stays on the surface. There you go! Infinite items. There’s really no risk to using this glitch. If you press the Y button too soon or too late then you will simply pocket the item as normal. Just place it back on the surface and try again. You can, of course, do this with Tommy and Timmy Nook’s “hot items” to make a lot of money, but the most effective way to make money is given to you right at the beginning of the game. You start with a cardboard box and a Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch is one of the highest value items the game has to offer. Dupe it a bunch of times and sell them off and soon you will be a millionaire.↑ Top
Money Making Guide
------------------- Once a day, a random rock in your town will become a money rock, and if you hit it with a Shovel, bells will pop out – up to 16,100 a day in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, depending on how many whacks with the shovel you give it. You’ll have to hit the rock with several successive hits to make the most money come out, and every time you hit the rock, the force of your shovel will knock you backwards a little bit, meaning you’ll lose a little bit of time moving closer to the rock to hit it again and lessening your chances at a maximum payoff. Dig three (or more) holes behind you, acting like a wall and you won’t get knocked back as much, and you leave as much room as possible for money to fall. You can also dig two holes in a corner, hitting the rock in a diagonal way as shown in the picture below. Better yet, plant Bushes in those same locations for a more permanent solution. Any of these make it easy to get 16,100 bells. -=Gems and Gem Rocks=- While you’re wandering around your village looking for your money rock, you might come across a rock that shatters when you hit it with your shovel. When it breaks, a gem will pop out that will be worth up to 4,000 bells! -=The list of gems and values is as follows=- * Amethyst (2,000 bells) * Emerald (2,000 bells) * Ruby (2,000 bells) * Sapphire (2,000 bells) * Silver (3,000 bells) * Gold (4,000 bells)↑ Top
