How to Get Multiplayer (Coop Working):
--------------------------------------
Written by ttv.LinkyPoo

-=Fixing Multiplayer
I only got this game for multiplayer. I struggled for a little to get it working.
People who want to get multiplayer working should read this to save yourself trouble.
You must follow this entire thing to get it working - it's super simple-ish.
I will help you.

-=Multiplayer Overview=-
The devs have stated multiplayer is definitely in alpha state. The only game
breaking thing I have found is that when you your frames will drop to 10-15 FPS.
Super easy to fix, run to an open area, save your game, and restart your game
completely (that means close it silly). I say run to an open area before quitting
because the first time I did this I ended up below the entire world.
Thankfully you can swim out from the terrain and play normally again.

Cracks fingers to get multiplayer working follow me - only the host needs to do this!

You need to port forward. I figured all of this out in like 30 minutes but I had
some general knowledge of how to do it before and I'm stubborn as hell (thanks mom!).

I know people don't read on the internet so I will say this again -
only the host needs to do this!

* Run command prompt (windows search "cmd", run Command Prompt)
* Type "ipconfig", hit enter
* Scroll down till you see the "IPv4 Address" and copy those numbers down
(example: 192.168.1.47) - dont close this window yet!
* This is your computers IP address and we will use this later,
  keep this window open and...
* Look for the entry "Default Gateway ........ ##############"
* You should see a bunch of letters numbers. What is important is the numbers
  that look like this "192.168.1.1"
* This is your router's IP address
(take a deep breath... exhale... and let's continue...).
* Open up your internet browser.
* Type your router's IP address in the URL bar (mine is 192.168.1.1), hit enter.
* You will get a warning that says "THIS SITE IS NOT SAFE" ooooOoOOo spooky, not
really, click the "more options" at the bottom of that warning and then click
  "Continue" or "Proceed"
* Typical username/password for a router is something like admin/admin or
  admin/password.
* Once you log in, this is where you'll need to click around the menus to find what
you are looking for. All routers are different.
* You may also need to set the control panel to "Advanced" so you can see "Router
Settings" or "Access Control" -- for me, my "Port Forwarding" was under " Access Control"
* Add a new rule under "Port Forwarding" that is like so:

Give it some name "Omg im doing it mom - Craftopia".
External Host: leave this blank.
Internal host: this your IPv4 address from #3.
Protocol: TCP.
External Port: 8787-8790.
Internal Port: 8787-8790.

And one more time we're going to celebrate!

We add another rule...

Give it some name "Again? ugh...Craftopia"

External Host: leave this blank
Internal host: this your IPv4 address from #3
This ones different >>> Protocol: UDP <<<
External Port: 8787-8790
Internal Port: 8787-8790

Save / Apply / Whatever.

How to Duplicate Any Item (Cheat):
----------------------------------
Written by davidincostamesa

Item duplication that works in single player, and doesn’t require any third
party programs.

-=Introduction=-
This guide will show you how to duplicate any item in Craftopia, without the
need for multiplayer, and without the use of any third party programs/editors.
The process takes about a minute or so to complete, can be done with multiple
items, and can be repeated as often as you like. You will need to be able to
access your player save file, which I will try my best to show you how to do.
As such, this may be easier to do on a computer, vs. on a X-Box.

-=Consider Your Game Experience=-
If you follow the steps in this guide, you will be able to duplicate any item
in the game. Depending on the item(s) duplicated, it may have a significant
impact on your game experience. Before duplicating, please consider the effect
duplicating may have.

For example, if you just found your first Slate of Evolution, and you repeat
the duplication process for about 5 minutes, you’ll have more Slate of Evolution
than you could ever use, completely removing the grind for these items from the
game.

Personally, I only use this duplication method to remove the parts of the game
I don’t find enjoyable. For me, that’s item crafting (to get a perfect 4x
enchanted item), and upgrading weapons to Kai+99. I leave the other collection
and grinding parts of the game for me to enjoy naturally. That is just my
personal preference, do as you please.

-=Create a Backup Before Editing Save Files=-
This duplication method requires you to copy your player save file to a backup
location when you have items you want to duplicate in your inventory, and then
requires you to overwrite the original player save file after placing those
items in a chest. Each time you use this method, you’ll be backing up, and then
overwriting, a single file.

Since you would be overwriting a save file, before you get started, you may wish
to create a backup of your Craftopia folder. That way, if you accidentally do
something wrong, you will have a backup. The default location for your Craftopia is.

C:\Users\Your_PC_Name\AppData\LocalLow\PocketPair\Craftopia

If you’re worried about doing something wrong, create a copy of this folder,
and keep it somewhere safe.

-=How to Duplicate Items=-
This duplication method works by:

* In Game: Place items that you want to duplicate in the character (player) inventory.
* In Game: Save the game using the Save Manually menu option.
* In File Explorer: Save the PlayerXXX.ocs file to a separate backup folder.
(This creates a copy of your character with all of the items in their inventory)
* In Game: Place the items that you want to duplicate into a chest (world) inventory.
* In Game: Save the game using the Save and quit menu option.
(At this moment, the items are in your world inventory, but not the player inventory)
* In File Explorer: Overwrite the game’s PlayerXXX.ocs file with the backup you made.
(This overwrites the character to the previous state, where they had a full inventory)
* In Game: Launch Craftopia and then re-load the same player and world.
* If done correctly, you should notice that the items are in BOTH your character (player)
inventory AND your chest (world) inventory.

If you wish to duplicate again, just repeat the above steps. When repeating step 1,
just grab all the items out of the chest. That way, when you save in step 2, you will
have twice as many items in your backup save as you had last time. You double the stack
size with each repetition. So if you start with 1 item, it becomes 2, then 4, then 8,
16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, etc. etc. Also, if you’re doing this multiple times,
it’s best to create an island with empty chests right in front of the spawn point,
so you don’t spend time running back and forth.

If you have multiple things you want to duplicate, it is more efficient to do the
duplication process with multiple items. It takes almost the same amount of time to
move 20 items to a chest as it takes to move just 1 item. All the other steps (saving,
copying and overwriting files, launching the game, loading the world) take up the
majority of the time.

-=Locating the Player Save File=-
The default location for the Player save files for Craftopia is:

C:\Users\YOURCOMPUTERACCOUNTNAME\AppData\LocalLow\PocketPair\Craftopia\Save\Players

Note that YOURCOMPUTERACCOUNTNAME in this case would be the name of the account you
use, on your computer (not your steam username – unless they are the same), when
playing Craftopia.

If you are unable to locate the AppData folder (which is often hidden), OR if you
are unsure of your computer account name, try this instead…

Open File Explorer, open the drive that Craftopia is installed on, place your mouse
cursor in the file location field where you can type, and key in “%AppData%” without
the quotes, but with the % at the start, and at the end. Then with your mouse cursor
still in this field, press the Enter key, and the system may look for the AppData
folder for you, even if it is hidden.

Once the folder is located, you may need to move up and/or down a bit to locate the
AppData\LocalLow\PocketPair\Craftopia\Save\Players folder.

The folder should contain a file with the name Player001.ocs. If you have more than
one character, you may also see additional safe files like, Player002.ocs, Player003.ocs,
Player004.ocs, etc. Personally, I only have one character, so the save file I needed to
copy and overwrite was in the \Save\Players folder by itself. If you have multiple
characters, you may need to attempt the duplication process one time for each save file,
until you figure out which save file corresponds to the character you are using for item
duping. For purposes of this guide, I will just assume you have only one character, and
that you will be backing up and overwriting the Player001.ocs file.

Katana Stances Guide:
---------------------
Here you can find alot info about katana stances.

-=General Info=-
You got 3 stances with katana:

* Neutral (undrawn katana).
* Sheated.
* Unsheated.

In neutral you can use all normal commands like consumming food, dodge rolling
or jumping, but cant attack with your katana.

In sheated stance you get a boost to activation speed of several special skills
(Iai slash, etc….), but cant walk, jump, or consumme foods and potions anymore.
Though you can sprint.

In unsheated stance you cant sprint anymore but can walk around. You cant do most
basic commands same as sheated stance (jump, consumme foods) but get access to a
new attack when pressing jump and get a huge boost to damages.

You also get a new momentary special stat during some moves: katana detection which
put you into an invincibility frame. If you take hits during that KT detection,
each hit will stack a special buff on your character which will first increase the
number of hits you can perform in your combos but also end up unlocking special rush
attacks (a stab attack at level 3 and 4, the rush combo at level 5) that are also
iframe (you activate them by pressing both R and L click at the same time during a
combo). Each use of the rush attack will reduce your buff of one stack.

Then the moves are:

-=For neutral stance=-
* L-click make you go into unsheated stance.
* R-click make you go into sheated stance.

-=From Sheated stance=
* L-clicks make you perform short range slashes (up to 3, 4 if you have enough
stacks of the buff), activate katana detection for a couple seconds and get you
  into unsheated stance.
* R-click make you perform long range slashes (up to 3), activate katana detection
for a couple seconds, and keep you in sheated stance.
* You cant walk, jump, consumme food or potions, etc…
* MAj + WASD makes you sprint.

-=From unsheated stance=-
* L-click make you perform slashes (up to 3-4 etc…), this doesnt acrtivate katana
detection but you got a big boost to the damages you deal in that stance.
This keep you into unsheated stance.
* R-click make you go into sheated stance, activate katana detection for a couple
  seconds.
* Jump make you perform a special move (you can perform another slash by hitting
Lclick during that special move). This keep you in unsheated stance.

-=Something to Note About Katana=-
* Taking damages from an enemy attack gets you out of stance.
* Pressing C during sheated or uncheasted stance get you back into neutral stance
but at the cost of a short animation (your character putting his katana back into
his scabbard), which is a very bad move during a fight….
* You can always activate special skills, in any stance. Special skills that benefit
from the sheated stance will keep you in your current stance (bascially special
skills for katana), skills that dont benefit (special skills usable by other weapons)
will get you in neutral stance.

This is the trick to instantly cancel your stance to be able to use things like
dodge roll immediately after a katana detection (using weapon buff for example)….
aka detection cancel.

-=Detection Cancel Basics=-
Double tap R-click (or do a fast R click>L-click for shiorter range attack, but hitting
the tagret is unecessary….) from the neutral stance (to get into katana detection),
activate weapon buf (either from the skill or from an equipped wheatstone) to cancel
your stance (which should be sheated stance after the slash from the double tap), then
dodge roll (cancelling the weapon buff and going into iframe before the katana detection
ends)…. you’re back into neutral stance (so have access to all the basic commands) and
ready to double tap again…. Repeat untill you get your detection buff to 5 then unleash
the rush attack. Rince and repeat.
