How to Play at 4K Without Stutter and Slowdown
-=The Fix=-
* Select Borderless Fullscreen mode.
* Change the resolution to something below 4K, but keep resolution scale at 100%.
-=Explanation=-
First off, the borderless mode in this game makes use of DXGI Flip Model, meaning
that there should be no latency or performance penalty for using it instead of
exclusive fullscreen. Nothing is being compromised from a competitive perspective.
When in Borderless Fullscreen mode, the resolution option in-game doesn't affect
the rendering resolution of 3D elements on screen, but it does affect the rendering
resolution of the HUD. This is easily confirmable by dropping the resolution
setting to an extremely low value and loading up a game. By dropping the resolution
of the HUD to 1440p or 1080p, it 100% fixes the stutter and slowdown on counter
hits and other affected game states.
Play as Asuka R. Kreutz:
------------------------
Normally, Asuka R# (a clone of Asuka R. Kreutz) is the default version of Asuka
you play as. However, by pressing Up while selecting his colours, you can switch
between both Asuka R# and the original Asuka R. Kreutz. This won't affect gameplay,
but it will change some character interactions with him.
Bridget’s Overdrives:
---------------------
-=Loop the Loop (S overdrive)=-
It is only really useful for hitting people after you stick them to the wall OR,
with 100 meter, you can roman cancel it to continue attacking since Roger still
drops even after you cancel it, so you get a fancy mix on them (probably not worth
it on AI bots, but people can get confused by this).
-=Return of the Killing Machine (H overdrive)=-
On the other hand, is great to use at a distance as a whiff punish or a way to get
in on a zoner. Treat it like a super powerful fireball. It’s super plus on block
and will let you chase it across the screen to get in their face. It’s also good if
you wall stick your opponent at a distance too far to follow up with Loop the Loop.
Bottom line, tl;dr: I’d focus on learning to use Roman Cancels to make your own
combo extensions.
