Tips to Basics
--------------- * You send students to a quest on a trial completion (you can make a staff from them or send to a quest). * If you have wand, you need to summon a student. You don’t need to research anything from what I remember. You need a minimum of two students (preferably of the different type) to successfully finish a trial (at least at the beginning). * You need to research the rice and then plant it. * Building (on the ground level) is easy, you only need two walls and a roof (and hallways/doors). It’s not very complicated or tedious – except maybe placing the lighting. Building higher floors is a little harder (removing the roof by fragments). * If you worry that you “lose research ticks”, then pause immediately and go to set the research. The research needs staff to operate, so sometimes you will lose the “ticks” anyway., when operator go to sleep or to eat something. * Villagers are not NPCs. Quests send freshly graduated students out into the world to these Villages in order to help out and produce a reward.↑ Top
Tips for Starting Your Research
-------------------------------- * Go to your build menu. Look for Crafting section. You want to build an Arcane Savant. It’s required for research. * It looks like a book on a desk with like big gold rings above it. * Once one is built your research menu will unlock, and then you’ll be able to select new research. * After that your staff will be able to research at the station.↑ Top
How to Make Private Room
------------------------- * Usually around 8 blocks wide is good for the majority of the rooms needed to be made (for me at least). What I do is make a spiral going up a good ways. * On either side of this staircase I make private rooms. Just below those private rooms, I make a 4 block high passageway that is held up by supports instead of walls so it is open to the air giving those private rooms elevated also. * Then on the backside of those private rooms, you can repeat the process. That way your people are transversing the corridor rather than going in weird directions.↑ Top
Entering the Underschool
------------------------- * Look around the underschool and you should find one or more rooms marked with buttons. * Some rooms just let you do a fight for rewards, and may also unlock other rooms on the same level, but some unlock deeper areas of the underschool with more dangerous rooms. * Note that every time you complete a “going deeper” challenge, you have a chance of unlocking a monster type that will periodically attack equipment or items in your school.↑ Top
Useful Tips for Room Requirement System
---------------------------------------- I doubt the rescrictions are going to change. That is what seperates games like this from others. I have played the demo and the release for hours now. -=What I have found to be helpful in planning is this=_ * Make a list of the rooms you know you want, plan ahead. * Start by making your walls 10 stones high, overkill sure, but there are alot of rooms that need to be lofted. * Use the spiral stairs cases!! -=Here is an example of a simple base that I’ve done for staff rooms=- XSCXXSCX XSCXXSCX XXXXXXXX * X is the room and each of those can be a private room. * SC is the stair case. All those Xs on the bottom is the ground floor. The devs have made it very easy to remove and rebuild. Sometimes you have to think outside the box and build wanky at times.↑ Top
How to Hunt Trapvine
--------------------- Repel Fog ritual cost depends on the distance the fog is currently at. If you let it come closer it’ll need easier materials again. If you’re seeing trapvines you’re already pushing it very close to the max distance if not there already so doing another ritual won’t help much. What you can do is build some Fog Aegis near the fog to stop it from advancing and give enough time to the trapvines to mature. Alternatively if you wait a few days there’s an upcoming update that will make them significantly easier to get(it’s already live in the beta branch). Using aegis help, but the only thing you need is a mage with high nature skill or more if you can. Harvest it with maximum priority. That’s it. Don’t expect to catch many of them, but at least enough to start farming.↑ Top
Level 4 Battles Tips
--------------------- Written by AugustusTirion First bring students with high speed this will allow you to have the advantaje of shoting first. Use earth mages to cast earth shield and draw aggro to them, while you use your other mages, specially fire ones to kill em. I assume you are still using wand II mages, so you would need to increase your firepower, two fire mages with all the medallions done would be the fastest and easiest solution. Air mages with medallions and a lot of attack power are deadly too. And… Use potions. I know this is obvious but dragonfire flask is essential, and potions of higher rejuvenetion too, one or two recharge options also are very useful when fighting hp inflated enemies (you will waste all your mana) and i know, there are other options about potions. Once you are able to summon students with level III wands, it should be easier. Earth Guardian potions (bring a few of them) and 1 high speed mage is the key. Take your fastest mage, even if their other skills are iffy. I was fortunate, I managed to roll an Earth mage (Wolfkin) that, after trials, hit 75 speed. She always moves first. On those those 4 skull fights, she just drinks an Earth Guardian potion, then her own armor spell. After she’s survived that first assault, the other (damage focused) mages do the killing. If you’re having bad luck finding a high speed mage, keep an eye on the Events. Many of them will give ‘Hastened’ to a particular element. A mage (or mages) with that element wand will move twice per turn. And their first move in a turn is always before the enemies. Gives you a chance to down a Guardian pot. 2 Skull Battle: --------------- Written by ShadowTani The Burrower Larva is a repeatable 2 skull battle that you can always find within an instance of the Lava Mines. You may have to explore the spine beyond the first instance of the Lava Mines though as I seem to get access to that battle primarily from the second instance of the Lava Mines. The Spine is also the primary path you want to follow if you want to increase the difficulty of the encounters. The branch paths seems to largely stick to a consistent difficulty throughout their caves. Ideally as the game develops there will be more repeatable fights at different difficulty levels. But for now we make do with what we can get.↑ Top
