Commit the Loot Hierarchy to Memory:

The game’s UI is minimalist to a fault, and it won’t hold your hand through 
the wild scramble for loot. There’s no auto-equip of superior gear, and 
there’s no warning if you’re about to swap out your fully-modded purple SMG 
for a common one. You must be your own filter and instantly judge an item’s 
value by its color. The progression is simple:

* White -> Green -> Blue -> Purple

Drill this into your head until rarity checking becomes second nature.


Make Enemy Extractions Your Personal Ambush:

Now that you’re up to speed on the fundamentals, it’s time to become the 
predator. The game announcer will call out when a team has initiated an 
extraction sequence by marking their location on the map. This is a gift. A 
defending team at an extraction is predictable; they are bound to a small 
area and committed to defense. This is the perfect time for a third-party 
attack. We recommend taking a sniper rifle specifically for this one—it 
enables you to recon at a safe distance, pick off defenders in elevated 
positions, and sow chaos before your team pushes in to clean up and take 
the reward.
