Easy Cigarette Cards:
---------------------
There are 144 Cigarette Cards in RDR2, consisting of 12 sets with 12 cards each. Getting
one complete set is needed for 100% completion. To collect them all, you must first start
the "Smoking And Other Hobbies" mission from a stranger at Flatneck station. It becomes
available after the "Who Is Not Without Sin" Chapter 2 story mission. One card per set
only becomes available after accepting this quest. To easily collect all card quickly and
easily, you need approximately $2,000 and between 10 minutes with a fully upgraded satchel
or 60 minutes with a basic satchel. Complete the following steps:
1. Go to any General Store (for example, in Valentine).
2. Buy Premium Cigarette Packs (Provisions - Tobacco - Premium Cigarettes).
3. Hold Circle to close the store book.
4. Open the Satchel. Discard all Premium Cigarettes from your inventory.
5. Buy new Premium Cigarettes, discard them, and repeat. Note: To make this even easier,
buy the cigarettes off the shelf and discard them there, then buy them again right there
without the catalogue animation.
Keep doing this until you get all 144 Cigarette Cards. You can view how many you have
collected in the Compendium. Each Premium Cigarette Pack gives you one random card, but
you can just keep buying them until you got all cards. After completing the story, you
get $20,000, which is more than enough to buy the cards. Once you have all 144 cards,
mail them to the quest giver at the post office. The best parts of using this method is
the rewards you get from the quest giver can make you more money than the cards cost,
and you can sell duplicates at any Fence vendor. You also do not have to spend
approximately 15 hours running around to get these collectibles.
Unlocking fast travel and free fast travel:
-------------------------------------------
There are three types of fast travel (and automatic horse travel) in Red Dead Redemption 2.
After completing Chapter 2: "Money Lending And Other Sins" (given by Strauss), you will
unlock the ledger. You can then put money in the tithing box and upgrade the camp. Buy
the two camp upgrades in the lodging category: "First Things First" ($220) and "Next In
Line" ($325). The second upgrade unlocks a fast travel map behind Arthur's tent. However,
this fast travel is only one-way. It can only be used to reach discovered towns, and there
is no way to fast travel back to camp. There is a hidden feature the game does not make
known. Simply place a waypoint marker anywhere on the map, then start riding on the road
and hold the Touchpad to make your horse automatically run to the marked location. You
can then release the button and wait while you travel to the marked location.
Note: Predators and bandits can still hurt you along the way -- so keep an eye open. There
is also fast travel from train stations and stagecoaches for $5 to $15, but you can only
travel between towns and not to your own camp. You can use this option to reach the town
closest to your camp, and then ride the rest of the way.
How to Transfer Arthur's Money to John (Using Aberdeen Pig Farm):
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Written by ZuphCud
-=How-To=-
After Arthur's death, John has to start from scratch.
But there's a way to get Arthur's money back.
* Make sure you finished the mission: 'My Last Boy' (the death of Eagle Flies).
* Go to the Aberdeen Pig Farm as Arthur, with the not at all creepy incestuous siblings.
* Accept the drink, (or the food sample if it's your second visit) and find yourself in
the mud pit with zero money.
* Return to the house and kill them both.
* The money is stored behind the 'mom' painting directly at the front door.
* Don't retrieve it, but leave it for John to pick up later.
* Then start the mission: 'Our Best Selves' in Beaver Hollow.
* So then you're robbing a train, Arthur dies and John rides his wagon to Pronghorn Ranch.
* After that, return to the Aberdeen Pig Farm and retrieve the money from behind the
painting.
How to Complete Gambler Challenge 10 Easy:
------------------------------------------
Written by Sommelier de casadas
Completing Gambler Challenge 10 can be easier than you think, and I’ll show you now.
* Head to Flatneck Station, which has a low game value.
* Get on the poker table
* Right in your first bet, even before the community cards are drawn, go all-in.
By now, most of your opponents will have given up and you will probably win the round.
If any of them choose to call, just keep doing it. With this method I was able to
complete the challenge in a single try, but depending on your luck, it can take a couple
more, but you will mostly be able to do it in 10 minutes or less.
The Most Underrated Feature:
----------------------------
Written by Psycho
This guide will showcase an awesome feature in RDR2 that is known by very few players,
but loved by everyone that knows about it.
-=The Feature=-
You can use melee weapons while on horseback!
-=How-To=-
* Mount a horse.
* Open your weapon wheel and select a melee weapon.
* Hold ‘F’ and left click or right click to switch between which side of the horse you
swing your melee weapon from.
Now you can ride by people (or certain animals) and strike them with your machete/axe/etc.
How to Easily Farm Lawmen and Bounty Hunters:
---------------------------------------------
This is an easy, repetitive, boring, and pretty safe way to earn lots of cash while killing
a tall pile of lawmen and bounty hunters.
-=What You Need=-
Before you start, you need three things:
* A fence in Emerald Ranch. Help Seamus steal the stagecoach from his cousin. The cash
from each kill is miniscule. You are after the luxury items. Seamus is just up the
road from where you’ll be operating.
* A Lancaster or Lichtfield Repeater. Both guns reload quickly and keep your enemies
at bay.
* A Springfield rifle or better with a medium or long scope to snipe nearby targets
along the trails if you need the law’s attention.
-=Getting It Done=-
First, you’ll need to invade the farm near Emerald Ranch with the broken-down barn and
small farmhouse. They have wheat growing in one field and another crop growing in an
adjacent field. There are some cattle and a horse as well. Kill only one farmer after
you’ve grabbed your repeater and rifle. The survivor will get law enforcement’s attention.
Use high-velocity ammo only and equip the bandolier. The bandolier will hold 300 repeater
rounds. That’s more than enough ammo to do what you need to do.
The house has a kitchen, a short hallway, and two bedrooms. One bed has a guitar lying
atop it. You want to make your defense from the other bedroom. That room has two doors.
The one leading outside is locked. Before the law reaches you, close the door that leads
to the other room and keep the door closed in the room you defend from as much as possible.
This will block anyone from shooting at you from the front lawn and slow the intruders down
enough to keep them from swarming you.
Two waves of lawmen will first appear. Stay crouched near the bed where the small table
sits. This will allow you to keep the door closed and avoid almost all the gunfire from
outside. You may need to adjust your position slightly to remain hidden. After you finish
off the second wave, loot the bodies and dump them outside on the porch. This keeps your
interior nice and organized; looting piles of bodies is a breeze if you keep the cadavers
inside to a minimum.
After the lawmen are killed, save the game and sleep on the bed with the guitar. In the
morning, you may encounter one or both owners in the hallway or kitchen. Remind them why
they shouldn’t enter a house with a pile of corpses outside, especially if the bodies were
lawmen or bounty hunters. The only thing you need to do is step outside. The bounty hunters
will show up immediately.
There are six men and possibly two dogs in a single wave. The dogs will get the men inside
the house quickly. Otherwise, you literally have to stand up and shoot at the bounty hunters
to get them inside the building. If your bedroom door is closed, the dogs won’t attack you.
They just disappear after the intruders try to enter your room. Shoot, loot, save, sleep,
step outside in the morning, and repeat the cycle.
At some point, you can only loot cash. That means that your satchel is full. When that
happens, leave the house without dumping the bodies outside and climb on your horse. Head
to Emerald Ranch and sell your luxury items to Seamus. You should be able to earn about
$300 or more.
Clean your repeater and stock up on high-velocity ammo. When you return to the farmhouse
the next day, the new owners will have cleaned your base of operations and naively
assumed the worst is over.
