SpellForce: Conquest of Eo

Cheat Codes:
------------
Submitted by: David K.

How to Use Alchemy in Combat:
-----------------------------
I don’t know on a controller, but on mouse you have to right click
(not sure why this is the confirm button and left is cancel but
whatever) and have an action point available to then use the item
on the unit (or throw it at the enemy if applicable).

So essentially open inventory, press the “select/confirm” key and
then do it again on whatever you want to use it on (needs at least
1 action available)

How to Increase Party Size:
---------------------------
Increase your mastery rank to get more apprentices (up to 5) and
more party slots, but keep in mind this will piss off the circle
mages.

So be careful about expanding too fast in that regard.

How to Get Recipes:
-------------------
You make recipes yourself.

Just add in 1 piece of metal in the big slot and then try adding
in other things to see what works.

It’s all based on 1. the type of metal used and 2. the mana
(green/purple/blue/orange) values, so the specific type of material
doesn’t matter (besides the metal).

-=Useful Recipes=-
Here some useful ones:

* Swordmaster = corrupted adamantium + 6 blue and 3 green — gives +
1 attack but cant use abilities

* Elementalist = sky iron + 9 orange — +5 elemental damage and makes
  all your basic attacks elemental

* White mage = sky iron 6 green 3 blue — same as the above, but with
  white magic.

* Guardians II (is an armor to equip) — Sky iron + 3 orange 3 purple
  and 3 blue

* Rhino(can stun on melee attack) = sky iron + 6 blue and 3 orange.

* Guardians IV (lets you retaliate and attack of opportunity for free)
  = adamantium + 3 orange, 3 purple and 3 blue.

* Ashen one. That gives +10 elemental damage.
That one is adamantium + 6 purple and 3 orange

* Vampire (50% of damage = lifegain) — sky iron + 6 purple.

How to Find My Active Quests:
-----------------------------
Zoom out the map to the fullest (map/board mode) and any active
quests should usually show up on it, with some limitations.

The game would benefit from a quest log however, but so far that I’ve
seen there is none and this is one of the few ways to keep track of
where your quest locations are.

Necromancy Tips:
----------------
* Hire or summon regular units. Move your spire away.
* Tormentors do holy damage naturally, they’re an incredibly powerful
unit for necromancers because of this. Plus they get mind control and
access to typical undead caster abilities (like nor’s boon or nor’s
  curse which are incredible).
* They’re a T2 craft that takes one level of arcane and one level of
death to make. I suggest making one or two of them and plan on making
them one of your ranged DPS units. They’re good even in the late game.
If you can get the blood charged soul on one, it’ll become ridiculous
fast. It gets the bonus even on summons/reanimations that die.
* Necromancer summons/crafts also have a lot of physical damage units,
usually among the melee T1 through T3. Draugr Giant, a T3 (3 levels of
  death), do elemental damage naturally.

Side-note: Haunted Armor, T3 of 1 arcane and 2 elemental, have high white
resistance which makes them unique among the undead and a good tank against
traditional anti-undead armies.

* Keep everything that is free (cost wise) as backup around your tower
  or lodges.
* As necro when you get zombie plague you get ???? ton of spare zombies.
i usually end up using them to “soften” big targets before my main army
  sweeps in for the kill.
* You can use than same method for stuff like summons…. always keep some
wisps around they are one of the best t1 unit around, and you can get
  them at any time.
* In my game more than 35 weeks in i still have heroes with mostly wisps
as army, just put an extra Shaper golem now on some of them (started
enchanter so my summons are big and mean.
* That being said, even if you dont play summons, the buildings you get
from enchanter are pretty sweet, one of them allows your summons (all
of them from any specialization) to get soul prison, or you can get up
to 15 free mana sustain cost for armies (which works on the necro units)
per building. so say 2 of them is 30 free mana cost… be it for your
armies or your buffs. which is huge.

-=Bonus tip=-
* On the most basic level Nor’s curse reduces resistance to death damage
in the enemy. But the game will often in mid game challenge you to
change tack a little from what has worked for you until then.
And of course: don’t get on Yria’s bad side.

How to Reset Unit Upgrade Option:
---------------------------------
Written by Peath

If you don’t like the unit upgrade option, you can:

* Save the game.
* Exit the game to the desktop.
* Relaunch the game and load the saved game.
* Enjoy the new upgrade option.

PS. If you level up multiple units, you can upgrade any unit and then follow
the steps to reset the remaining units.

How to Kill Medusa:
-------------------
Medusa biggest strength is their stun ability. The melee medusas have 6 focus and
therefore can use the stun twice. The ranged medusas have 3 focus points and can
use the stun once.

-=You have three major options=-
* You use a way to silence them (silence skill or silence potion if you can craft them)
(they won’t be able to use any spell that uses focus such as their stun ability for
  the whole fight).

* You send a unit to the slaughter far ahead of the others and they will probably use
multiple stun ability on him depleting their focus and stunning only one guy, plus
the distance should ease the morale loss.

* You send forward one dude with physical resistance. The stun ability face a physical
resistance check, the higher your resistance the less chance to get stunned. If you
have maxed out physical resistance they can’t stun you. With 50% (ex with earth armor
spell buff or physical resistance potion) you pretty good.

The range of the stun if pretty good and so is their speed so don’t get surprised as
they could snipe you a little bit hence the importance of keeping a nice distance.

Hope that helps!

NB: Some unit get access to the “unstopable” perk form leveling up which gives them
immunity to stuns etc

Alchemist would be the easiest way to deal with them because you will have access to
silence potion, physical resistance potions, eath armor skill on your apprentice most
likely.

You can also simply throw a few sacred potions on them (damage only undead and
fantastic – they are fantastic monsters) and that will almost kill them or make them
flee so you just slaughter them easily.

For necro you prob could them some meat forward and raise them back again till all
focus is depleted then you are safe to go in.
