Duplicate items:
----------------
Go to any monster nest, and loot everything in the nest except for one item. You can
leave any item, but you must leave one item or this will not work. Turn the camera in
a 360 degree circle or walk a short distance away from the nest, and then loot the nest
again for all items to have respawned. Repeat this as many times as desired. Sell all
the items you get from this exploit for lots of crowns. The game has a cap of 65,535
crowns. Thus, stay under that number to avoid losing any crowns. If you meditate for
five days, the shops will get all their money (crowns) back. Alternately, go to the
Loan Shark in Navigrad since his money comes back each time you leave. You can also
buy florens so he has more money, and then just convert florens to crowns at the bank
in Novigrad. Note: This glitch was performed on an unpatched version of the game.
Unlimited Money:
----------------
This exploit allows you to earn around 1000 crowns per minute. Take the following steps:
1.Find the merchant at Hierarch Square in Novigrad and purchase all of his Shells and
Sea Shells. Talk to him again after you have depleted his stock and you will find
that he has more to sell. Keep buying as many as you can afford and carry.
2.Take the shells with you and visit the armorer, who is located next to the merchant.
Dismantle your Shells to receive Pearls.
3.Sell the Pearls to the armorer until he runs out of money.
4.Meditate for 5 days. The armorer should have 1000 coins again. Sell him more Pearls.
5.Repeat the process as often as you like.
You can dismantle a Shell at the cost of 8 coins for each effort. The Pearl you receive
can then be sold for 109 coins. Naturally, this only works during the daytime hours, as
merchants aren't around at night.
How to make Money:
------------------
* Doing secondary quests is a good way to get cash: Witcher contracts usually have a
reward tied to them.
* Selling items you don't use won't make you a millionaire, but it adds up over time.
* Diving and sailing is a great way to discover Smuggler's Caches, which contain
treasures that can be sold, or money.
* Guarded treasures come with monsters attached. They're worth the effort, though.
The special items found inside can be sold for decent amounts of money.
* There are multiple currencies in The Witcher 3, but merchants only accept Crowns.
You'll have to trade the Orens and Florins you collect at Vivaldi's Bank in Novigrad
– it's the building with the coin hanging above the door.
How To Import The Witcher 2 Save Games To The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Many gamers are finding it difficult to make use of this process, in fact some are
unaware of how exactly it is done. You can check out our guide on How To Import Your
The Witcher 2 Saves To The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
* First and the foremost thing, this Import process is supported only with PC version
of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. At the start of The Witcher 3: Wild, you may or may
not receive a message prompting you to import your saves.
* If you are among one of those who did not receive the message to import saves at
the start of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, it's because your SAVE GAMES are not in the
proper place. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt wants your previous SAVE GAMES to reside in :
"\Users\[username]\My Documents\Witcher 2\gamesaves".
* Sadly, if you ever enabled Steam Cloud Save, they will reside in:
"\Program Files(x86)\Steam\userdata\[userid]\20920\remote"
* So all you need to do is move them at the expected directory and start your adventure.
Money Cheat:
------------
Here’s an easy way to get a lot of money very fast in The Witcher 3. Using this
infinite money cheat you’ll be able to get unlimited cash, as explained below.
1.When you’re in the town of Midcopse, before you cross the Woesong Bridge out
of town, jump over the livestock fence into the grass pasture with the cows.
2.Kill all the cows in the pasture. You can kill them with one swing from your
sword, but using fire magic is usually a lot faster, since cows do tend to
run away from imminent death.
3.After killing all the cows, you must meditate for at least 2 hours at the spot
where you killed them. This can be done from the pause menu, by going to the
“Meditation” section and setting the clock to over 2 hours ahead from the
current in-game time. — Meditating for this long will respawn the cows by the
time you’re done meditating, at which point you can kill them again!
4.After doing this a few times, you can sell the cow hides for quick cash!
(And you get to keep the rest of the cow meat for healings.)
There’s actually a Merchant to sell the cow hides to right by the road next
to the cow pasture you’re standing in. Talk to the merchant and when you’re
in the merchant/shopkeeper’s Shop inventory, go to the “Other” tab to find
the “Cow Hide”, so you can sell all of yours to the merchant for Crowns coin.
5.Repeat steps 1 to 4 until you have enough money. Or until you realize you’re
creating a massive cow graveyard and it starts to creep you out.
How To Disable "Gamepad/Keyboard Detected" Message:
---------------------------------------------------
Go to your Witcher 3: Wild Hunt folder, then to "...\The Witcher 3\bin\config\base".
Now open the "hidden.ini" file using Notepad. You will see two lines:
edit "LockControlScheme=0" to "LockControlScheme=2" and those keyboard/gamepad
notifications will disappear once you get back in the game.
Familiar Tattoo:
----------------
If you import your save from The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, you may find that Geralt
has a tattoo. In The Witcher 2, he receives that tattoo during the course of completing
the "Hung Over" mission. When he wakes up the next morning with a tattoo, the player can
either remove it or leave it where it was. If you import a save file after leaving the
tattoo in place, look for the tattoo as Geralt is soaking in his bath near the start of
The Witcher 3: High Hunt.
Beginner Tips:
--------------
As you begin your adventure, you can keep a few things in mind to make sure that things
go smoothly.
* Complete the tutorials. They will acquaint you with the game's combat system, which has
changed since the previous game. There's no better time to adapt to the differences.
* Venture off the beaten path and explore. If you stick to the roads, you're likely to
miss out on opportunities to strengthen your character, which will mean the required
quests are more difficult and perhaps frustrating than they should be.
* Side quests are worth doing. You can gain loot and easy experience points, especially
when completing the basic quests available in White Orchard.
* Make sure that you equip and make use of powerful signs in combat, which can keep you
from taking damage you might otherwise.
* Learn new potions at every opportunity and refill them often. You can do so by
meditating, provided you have Alcohol or Dwarven Spirit items in your inventory.
Potions will make your journey much simpler.
Easy money:
-----------
Before crossing the Woesong Bridge to leave the town of Midcopse, jump over the fence
to enter a grass pasture with some cows. Kill all the cows at that location. It is
recommended you use fire magic instead of your sword so you do not have to chase them.
Then, meditate for two hours where you killed them by pausing the game, selecting
"Meditation", and advancing the time by two hours. This will force the cows to respawn.
Kill the cows again, and repeat the process to accumulate a large number of cow hides,
as well as meat for healing. Once satisfied, find the merchant near the road next to
the cow pasture. Talk to the merchant, then select the "Other" tab from his shop's
inventory to find the "Cow Hide" option to sell all of your hides to him. Repeat this
process as many times as desired.
Easy "Fist Of The South Star" achievement:
------------------------------------------
You can find a fistfight at the "Inn At The Crossroads" fast travel point on the "Velen"
map. Go into the inn to find some men fighting in the corner, and talk to them to
participate. When the fight starts, you must immediately hold [Block]. After blocking
your opponent's strikes, use strong attacks to break his defense and knock him out.
Easy "Kingmaker" achievement:
-----------------------------
To complete the subplot about choosing Skellige's ruler, you must first complete "The
King Is Dead - Long Live The King!" main story quest, which is the first main quest on
The Skellige Isles. You will then automatically get two new side quests called
"Possession" and "The Lord Of Undvik". You can mark them in the side quests tab in your
inventory. The subplot about Skellige's ruler consists of the following four side quests:
"Possession", "The Lord Of Undvik", "King's Gambit", and "Coronation". As soon as the
"Possession" and "The Lord Of Undvik" side quests have been completed, you will
automatically get the "King's Gambit" side quest. In this quest, you have to choose
whether to go with Cerys or Hjalmar during a dialogue. This will decide who becomes
the ruler, and is extremely important for the "Full Crew" achievement. If you do not
help either of them, you will miss the "Full Crew" achievement. Thus, be sure to help
either Cerys or Hjalmar; it does not matter which one you help.
Easy Crowns:
------------
* Before crossing the Woesong Bridge to leave the town of Midcopse, jump over the fence
to enter a grass pasture with some cows. Kill all the cows at that location. Consider
using fire magic instead of your sword to not have to chase them. Then, meditate for
over two hours where you killed them by pausing game play, selecting "Meditation", and
advancing the time by two hours. This will force the cows to respawn. Kill the cows
again and repeat the process to accumulate a large amount of cow hides, as well as meat
for healing. When satisfied, find the merchant near the road next to the cow pasture.
Talk to the merchant, then select the "Other" tab from his shop's inventory to find
the "Cow Hide" option to sell all of your hides to him. Repeat the process as many
times as desired .
* Use the following trick to earn about 1,000 Crowns per minute. Purchase all the Shells
and Sea Shells from the merchant at Hierarch Square in Novigrad. Talk to him afterwards
and repeat the process until you have as many Shells and Sea Shells you can afford or
carry. Visit the armorer found next to the merchant. Dismantle the Shells to get Pearls.
Sell the Pearls to the armorer until he runs out of money. Meditate for five days to
allow the armorer time to get more Crowns. Sell him more Pearls and repeat the process.
Note: This can only be done during the day, when merchants are present. It costs 8
Crowns to dismantle a Shell, which results in a Pearl that can be sold for 109 Crowns.
Easy Money I:
------------
You can use this method early on in the game in the town of Midcopse (in the White
Orchard area). You'll get there for the “Hunting a Witch” main quest.
1.Jump over the livestock fence into the grass pasture with the cows before you cross
the Woesong Bridge.
2.Kill all the cows in the pasture.
3.Pick up the cow hide & meat from their corpses. Meditate at least two hours, so cows
will respawn… and you will be able to kill them again.
4.Sell the cow hides to the nearest merchant for quick cash.
Easy Money II:
-------------
For this method you have to go a little further in the game, precisely at the Heirarch
Center in Novigrad. You will have to visit Velen first, and then fast travel or take a
boat to Novigrad.
1.At the Heirarch Center Square you will find a merchant in front of some fish who will
sell unlimited Shells and Sea Shells for 7 Crowns. Exit and enter again the merchant's
shop, as all his goods will be restored. If not, meditate or fast travel and enter the
shop one more time.
2.Take the Shells to the Armorer next to the merchant. Dismantle the Shells into Pearls,
and you will be able to sell them for 109 Crowns each.
3.Sell the Pearls to the Armorer until he has sufficient money. Once he runs out of Crowns,
meditate for five days, so the Armorer will get 1,000 Crowns to spend in about 1 minute.
If you want to sell Pearls and Black Pearls at a rate of around 2,700 Crowns per minute,
go to the loan shark shop, a building with red carpets outside at the southern gate, after
noon.

Easy money:
-----------
Before crossing the Woesong Bridge to leave the town of Midcopse in White Orchard early
in the game, jump over the fence to enter a grass pasture with some cows. Kill all the
cows at that location with your sword or fire magic. Then, meditate for two hours where
you killed them by pausing the game, selecting "Meditation", and advancing the time by
two hours. This will force two cows to respawn. Kill the cows again, and repeat the
process to accumulate a large number of cow hides, as well as meat for healing. Once
satisfied, go to the merchant directly across the road from the cow pasture. Talk to him,
then select the "Other" tab from his shop's inventory to find the "Cow Hide" option to
sell all of your hides to him. Repeat this process as many times as desired.
Note: Since the nearby merchant only has a limited number of crowns, you will need to
sell the cow hides to other shop keepers to get more crowns.
Easy XP:
--------
Go to the location "Velen - No Man's Land", which is southwest of Novigrad. Go under the
water (near the wrecked ships), and start shooting at the three Level 10 Drowners with your
crossbow to one-hit kill them. After killing the three Drowners, simply turn the camera in
a 360 degree circle, and they should keep respawning. They are guarding a nearby chest --
so do not open the chest or the Drowners will stop respawning. If you keep shooting your
crossbow towards the Drowners, the game will simply auto-aim at them so you can easily kill
them without much effort. You will also need to come up for air when you run out of breath.
The Level 10 Drowners are worth 7 XP each. If you are Level 9, you can reach Level 11 in
approximately 30 minutes using this farming method.
Note: If the Drowners do not respawn, move around a little or turn the camera in the
opposite direction to get them to respawn.
Infinite food:
--------------
Go to the location at the Clan Tordarroch Forge in The Skellige Isles, and kill all the
goats. Next, meditate for one hour for the goats to respawn. If they do not reappear,
meditate again for another hour. Kill all the goats again. Repeat this process as many
times as desired. Then, loot all the goat corpses to get lots of goat milk, meat, and goat
hide. Note: Goat hides are heavy.
Infinite run:
-------------
While sprinting, jump immediately before your stamina is empty, then release [Sprint].
When you land, your stamina will be full or close to full. A second after you land,
press [Sprint] again. If timed correctly, you will not lose your stride.
Horse upgrades:
---------------
Use the following trick to store items that you do not want to carry in your inventory.
Enter the Inn in Skellige and go to a corner in the room. Drop all your items at once and
will appear as a bag on the floor. You can return to retrieve them whenever desired. To
add something else to the pile, pick up the bag, and then drop it again after it has the
additional item.

and they will appear as a bag on the floor. You can return to retrieve them whenever
desired. To add something else to the pile, pick up the bag, and then drop it again
after it has the additional item.
Pulp Fiction Conversation:
--------------------------
As you complete the "Family Matters" quest, you'll need to enter the Bloody Baron's
Castle. Use the central staircase to descend to the basement and you'll meet two
guards who are having a conversation. If you listen closely, you'll find that they
are reenacting the "Bring out the gimp" scene from Quentin Terantino's famous film,
"Pulp Fiction."
Easy "That Is The Evilest Thing" achievement:
---------------------------------------------
Obtain the formula to craft bombs from The Herbalist's Hut Signpost to the north-east
of Oxenfurt. It sells the required ingredients. Once it has been crafted, find an enemy
or group of enemies and cast Igni. After it begins to burn them, throw a Dragon's Dream
Bomb at the enemy. This will ignite the gas from the bomb and cause an explosion. Repeat
this process as many times as needed to get the "That Is The Evilest Thing" achievement.
Easy "Moo-rderer" achievement or trophy:
----------------------------------------
Travel just southeast of Yantra, the town near a lake that is northeast of Novigrad.
You can find an area with eight cows. Use Igni to kill the cows, then meditate to
respawn them.
How to Back to Classic Version:
-------------------------------
Written by Samyueru
Some people reported extreme loss of performance in witcher 3 next gen, and complained
about wanting to go back to the old version, so here I will teach a basic tutorial for
those who don’t know the method.
-=Guide to Back to Classic Version=-
* Open this image for view better.
* Click on the game.
* Now click on the gear.
* Click on beta.
* Now click on this box.
* Just click in classic version.
* Now you can close and it will start downloading the old version.
How To Get Skellige:
--------------------
Skellige, often called the Skellige Islands, is a group of islands (group of islands).
The island is home to both fierce warriors and intrepid sailors. The only way to survive
on the barren Isles is to plunder the seas.
During the main quest “Destination: Skellige,” you can travel to Skellige. This quest
becomes available to you after the “Imperial Audience.” Witcher 3’s Skellige can only
be reached through Novigrad. You must go to the docks and place a marker on the Golden
Sturgeon on your mini map. Your Captain, who will drive you to Skellige, can be found
here.
Captain Wolverstone is waiting for you once you get inside the tavern. Following your
interaction with him, he will demand that you trade 1000 Crowns for a ride to Skellige.
There is no alternative except to pay. Gather enough money to go on to the next sequence.
Geralt will sleep en route to Skellige. But not for long, because several pirates would
soon wake him up. You’ll have to struggle against them all and win. As the Pirates can
reach levels as high as 16, it would be wise to improve your character. When you finally
defeat them all, the ship will go down.
There will be a cutscene where Geralt lands on the beach. Just interact with Stiengrim,
an NPC, and he will send you in the right direction. Finally, you will arrive at Skellige
unharmed.
Some Tips for Smooth Gameplay (Update 4.0):
-------------------------------------------
Written by Prysia Away=Grinding
Use DX11 instead DX12 (DX12 currently is broken).
-=In Game Options=-
* disable v-sync
* set framelimiter to unlimited
* use Nvidia Reflex + Boost
-=Nvidia Options=-
* use G-Sync if you have, if u don’t have then skip it
* use V-Sync ON
* cap ur frames using nvidia framelimiter 3hz below ur monitor refresh rate (144hz – 141fps /
60hz – 57fps) also u can cap fps to any number just make sure u won’t drop below because
your game will not be smooth anymore. I would suggest using RTSS for caping fps.
* set Ultra Low Latency to ON
That’s all, you should now have smooth buttery gameplay.
Infinite Coin / Items:
----------------------
This glitch will work with any monster nest. If you can find nests located closely together,
you can exploit this glitch more. First kill all surrounding monsters, then blow up and
destroy the nest, loot the nest, but leave one item, preferably the one that is worth the
least, meditate 4 times for 23 hours each time, for a total of 92 hours, returned back to
Game, draw either one of your swords, and all of the loot should have respond within the nest,
loot everything, except the item of least value and repeat.
You can do this for as long as you remain in the proximal area. If you leave the area for
too long, or the game is closed and re-opened, it will reset the nest to completely empty,
find another nest at this point, and go again.
Beating Sasha Tips:
-------------------
Written by voyagerscom
-=Starting Setup=-
In case anyone needs advice, I’ve devised a way that allowed me to beat Sasha.
Sasha is rocking a bottomless spy deck that consists of spies and healers to bring
back those spies that makes her cards never end.
The strategy to beat her is to cut her off from her source of power.
Let her spies die on your side of the field so she can’t resurrect them. Don’t give
her any of your own spies because she also has endless decoy cards to steal your spies
and then she boosts her endless hand even more. Don’t use your healers to res her spies
either.
-=To Win:=-
I’ve removed all spies from my own deck, except one hero type spy who cannot be
stolen by a decoy card and cannot be resurrected.
I used Northern Deck.
I placed two scorch cards, two decoys and three cards to boost morale into my deck.
No ill weather effect cards.
Foltest clear weather as the Leader, so, I don’t waste space in my hand on clear
weather cards.
-=Round 1=-
Allow Sasha to play her spies to her heart’s content. Nilfgaard spies have a weakness
of having a high attack power.
Her spies gave me +9, +7, +4 in the close combat line (x2 = 40 points).
I first played my own spy card (got lucky to draw it in the original hand).
Then I added my own close ranged units.
Use the horn. Morale boost on the close combat line. (I played her three rounds first
– this was my 4th game – and never saw her use frost. But if she did, I have my leader.)
She surrendered the point. Irony being, her own spies gave me the main points.
Northern deck special ability activated and gave me one more card.
I started with ten cards, I ended the round with ten cards and won a point, but she
had whooping thirteen cards. (I’m bad at remembering numbers, so, don’t hold me to
the exact count. Anyway both hands had a high number of cards.)
-=Round 2=-
Focus on bleeding her deck.
She doesn’t have the luxury to pass before I do since she’s a point down and to
guarantee her win she’s using her strong cards.
I looked at all the powerful cards in my hand that could be used in combinations and
reserved them for the third round.
I only played loose cards that weren’t going to give me lots of points in the last
round.
Waste time as much as possible. Use scorch to burn her field and make her use healers.
Play a loose card, use decoy to take it back, play it again. The computer doesn’t
have the ability to call this specific bluff when you’re wasting their good cards.
She really didn’t want to give up her spy strategy and used her leader’s ability to
nick her spy out of my graveyard. That’s the last of the spies she ever received
since she instantly used it and I was planning to throw this round.
Pass. She gets a point.
-=Round 3=-
Duke it out.
Can’t recall the exact number, something like me 7 cards and her 9, but one useless
clear weather for her.
Nobody is getting any hand boosts. I shoved all her spies into a casket and nailed
the lid shut.
Massive siege offensive backed by Foltest on my behalf.
I had the combo of two +8 catapults that double their points when played together.
Used them last in case of scorch.
Morale boost.
Both parties went into 80+ points territory. I ran out of the cards first, so, it
kinda was a bum clench to see which card she’ll use last.
I beat her by a narrow margin.
Going to give myself a pat on the back here. If the North was as good at fighting
Nilfgaard as I play Gwent, Temeria would rule the south.
Anyway, hope this idea helps.
Other strategy: It’s tempting to go the other direction to outspy her. I tried it in
my second and third attempts. I’m pretty sure the computer cheats and uses over the
limit of the magical cards allowed, plus like ten decoys. I placed three decoys in
my inventory and went maximum good deck cards and maximum spies myself. She could
take with decoys all of my spies and all of her spies back that were previously
stolen by me, plus she used scorch, weather debuffs and clear weather.
I’ve heard other players winning this route too, but it didn’t work for me, just
went into the endless cycle of spy ressing, longest fight ever.
Hope you found this useful. Good luck beating Sasha!
Infinite Money/Food:
--------------------
Head to the Northern (Northern if you are playing without the Hearts of Stone Expansion)
/Northeastern part of Novigrad to Martin Feuille's Farmstead, there will be a type of
empty square on the map which is easy to spot, there will be cows that can be felled in
one attack there, it is best to use a crossbow and kill several to spook them so they
can run to a part of the pen where they can be wiped with a blast of Igni. They will
drop Raw Meat/Cow's Milk, and Cow Hides. Once you kill the cows, meditate for an hour
and they will respawn, kill until you reach your carrying capacity. Next head to Novigrad
and sell your drops to the Barkeeps at Kingfisher and Passiflora among other establishments,
to deplete their money carried until they cannot buy any more of your hides. Then meditate
for about a week, their stock should cycle and have their initial coin amount back. This
is in general the most effective way of gaining a limitless supply of food, you can even
sell some of the meat and milk you got from the cows if you wish to fully clean out the
barkeepers.
For the Expansion Blood and Wine, there are keeps captured by bandits in Toussaint that
will constantly respawn enemies as long as you do not kill their leader, kill enemies
there and take their weapons to sell to a blacksmith. Same applies there as it does with
the vanilla game, it will require time for a merchant to restock their coin.
Wandering In The Dark (Rift Segment):
-------------------------------------
During the quest: Wandering In The Dark, you will reach a large room where you will have
to guide Keira to seal up 3 rifts enemies emerge from, when in front of a rift, you would
have to stand in a warded area around her (leaving it will incur frost damage) and protect
her from the enemies that come out until the rifts are closed, but there is a way to speed
this up, wait until she gets within range of her beginning to seal it, but throw a Dimetrium
Bomb beforehand. Due to the limited amount of bombs you can have until you must Meditate to
replenish them you will be able to get rid of 2 of the 3 rifts, so it is best to do this
after she seals one of them in order to quickly end it.
Easily Defeat Flying Monsters:
------------------------------
Flying monsters such as Harpies, Wyverns, etc will die instantly when they fall into a
large body of water after being struck by a crossbow bolt. However, by defeating them
this way, you will not be able to claim anything it drops by doing so, meaning you could
lose out on mutagens and other materials.
