Tips to Last Mission Strategy:
------------------------------
You don’t need to ugprade everything. There’s way too many
different things to choose on the map. My strategy was to go
all units flails and hunters, with the perk that increases
replacement training speed in barracks. For the final mission
you definitely need all of the walls you can build, and the 2
enclosing your castle need to be upgraded. I also upgraded
the barracks as much as I could, but I think 2 of them weren’t
maxed out. Of other things, I did upgrade big part of towers
to the second level, but not really more. I found that towers
in general are so much worse investement than troops. But I
did get all of the possible towers, they are cheap enough.
I mostly ignored the blacksmith, got one level, not sure if I
bothered with another one or it was already too late.
For eco I made a lot of houses and I had the auto-upgrade from
castle level up. I made 2 harbours in the middle lake. Don’t
bother making the one on the right, it’s going to be destroyed
too many times.
Also make sure to get the mine as early as possible, if you
can protect it.
Then during the final wave I placed 1/3 of my units on the left
and 2/3 on the right, where I was myself as well. And then it
was jumping around, taking the army that was with me through
the southern bank to the other side of the lake for the next
spawn, then back, and so on, trying to deal as much damage
myself as possible.
General tips:

Written by Ish
Just small notes/thoughts on economy management.
-=Some general tips=-
1.This is basic to pretty much all RTS but i'll mention it anyway:
- early game you should focus on economy as much as possible and
get as little defense as you can get away with
- once you are in the endgame (4-2 rounds left) you shouldn't get
any economic upgrade anymore and just focus on upgrading defenses
* That means if you can get away with only relying on your character to
defeat the first waves, do it.
* Towers or even a squad of melee/ranged defenders are sometimes necessary
early on so you pretty much need to check what works for you.
(The defensive units become very valuable on bigger maps where attacks
come from a lot of directions)
2.From what I've seen some enemies (especially the ones charging directly
for your castle) can be directed into certain routes by walling only
specific portions of the map and leaving others open - you can abuse that
behaviour
3.Your character can grab the attention of enemies by attacking them, but
you will lose it if you walk too far away - you can use that to kite them
around in a circle - preferably in front of some towers or ranged defenders -
If you do it correctly you should be able to do it without ever getting hit
(can also be used to split a group of enemies off into other defenses that
would otherwise be out of range)
4.If your mobile defenders are outnumbered you should have them hold
position (hold ctrl) behind walls or other obstacles, especially if your
choice of perks/weapons/etc. prevents them from spawning again - this is
much more important for ranged units than it is for melee units
That's most of the general stuff, there is much more to it since there are
very specific things you can do differently depending on which perks/weapon
you use - which is pretty much the charme of this game
-=Specific tips=-
1.On Frostsee it is very good to have the mine in the west before wave 2
(requires the architect perk) this will enable you to grow your economy
much faster - you can focus on building the fishing income after that (you
may want to consider not upgrading the ones you cannot consistenly keep
alive, because boats need to build up and it takes some time)
I don't think there's any other specific tips that I think are usefull at
the moment - there are very strong weapon/perk combinations but it's better
to figure those out on your own.
Eternal Trials Strategy:
------------------------
On every run, I try to get all the unit perks:
* Elite warriors (vital for the strat).
* Health potions (healing units, very Important).
* Stronger heroes (don’t really use it, but still good).
Then I also get all the king buffs except glass cannon:
* Heavy armor (S tier for my style).
* God’s lotion (helps a lot).
* Ring of resurrection (for the guaranteed double hp bar and unit respawning).
* War horse (overall amazing).
And other miscellaneous and important perks:
* Treasure chest (Get ASAP).
* Healing spirits (benefits everyone).
* Architect’s council (the later the stage the better it is).
* Arcane towers (same as warhorse, overall good).
Any other perk is good to get and focus on the ones that are good for your style.
Take notice! exceptions:
* Glass cannon (nerfs the HP too much and makes the strategy a lot worse).
* Warrior mode (nerfs units, which isn’t helpful).
* Commander mode
(isn’t the worst case scenario, you can choose it if you adore it).
-=Strategy=-
I use knights to tank and kill ground enemies, fire archers/hunters to kill
ground and air. For the castle center I always go for:
* Magic armor.
* Royal mastery/godly curse (90% of the time for royal mastery, but depends on
how many ogres there are).
And I use the king to tank/deal warhorse and magic armor damage as much as possible.
I found out, that I can take out up to 15 ogres with one health bar! Also the
hunterlings have nothing on you since you have the same amount of hp as a boeing
747 and deal magic armor damage.
