Cheat mode:
-----------
Type: cheat (slow down ball movement)

Look in the "Zuma Deluxe!\levels\" folder for a file called "levels.xml"
and open it using Notepad (make a backup copy of it first). Go aprox halfway
down until you see the following line:

[Settings id="lvl11" speed="0.5" start="35" score="1000" repeat= (etc)

lvl11 means level 1-1. So, if you want to slow down the speed of the balls
for this level, all you have to do is change the speed setting from 0.5 to
0.2 and then exit and save. If you're stuck on a higher level, say 12-7, and
then just go a few lines lower to where it says lvl127 and change its speed
setting to 0.2 and save. Note: don't confuse the lvl11 line above with the
level11 line on the same page.

All the cheats there are, more levels, by the 12-5, than you have no more lives,
you can begin again but all the points are gone.

When you succeed in one level, exit the game, copy the directory /userdata/ to
somewhere else, then play again.

If you loose all your lifes during the next level, or if your performance doesn't
please you, quit the game, copy back your userdata and restart where you first
backuped it!

Like this, you can never loose a single life, and have the higher score.

To make the UFO appear on the menu screen, move your cursor over the menu buttons
3 times in this order:

Adventure, Gauntlet, Options, More Games, Quit

Level select:
-------------
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file
before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "levels.xml" file in the
"\zuma deluxe!\levels\" folder. Scroll down near the bottom until you see the
following line:

StageProgression
stage1 = "spiral,claw,riverbed,targetglyph,blackswirley"
diffi1 = "lvl11,lvl12,lvl13,lvl14,lvl15",etc...
Change the level name to your choice. For example, to change Dark Vortex, Level 1-5,
to Spiral of Doom, change "blackswirley" to "spiral". To find out what name corresponds
to what level, look in "cached_thumbnails" in the same folder and switch to filmstrip
view in Windows Explorer, in "Views" on the top, by "Folders". It will show a large
picture at the top and thumbnails at the bottom.

UFO:

Move the mouse pointer over the following options (in order) at the main menu:

it using Notepad (make a backup copy of it first). Go aprox halfway down until you

lvl11 means level 1-1. So, if you want to slow down the speed of the balls for this
level, all you have to do is change the speed setting from 0.5 to 0.2 (or any other
value) and then exit and save. Do the same procedure for any other "fast" level.

NOTE: Don't confuse the lvl11 line above with the level11 line on the same page.

Credit Screen Easter Egg:
-------------------------
Within the main menu and using the mouse cursor, hover over the menu items in the
following order, three (3) times. Adventure, Gauntlet, Options, More Games, Quit.

Hint:
-----
The tones made by the buttons played in this order sound like the musical tones from
the movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind." If done correctly, a U.F.O. will appear
on the screen. Click on the U.F.O. and you will be taken to the Credits Screen.
