Cabela's Deer Hunt 2005 Season

Finding transportation:
-----------------------
When starting a new level in Career Hunt, look around your cabin before leaving.
You should find some form of transportation. 


Wyoming: Finding deer:
----------------------
In Wyoming, go to the second location and go across the bridge. Once there, you 
can climb on top of the mountains and can see all the deer from that spot. You 
can shoot them with a 30-30 or 30-06. This also works in other places. 
Note: Do not go down the mountain when the deer is dead or you will die from the 
fall.


Long distance shots:
--------------------
When trying to shoot deer at long range, it is best to try and find a long range 
rifle such as the 300 BA and pre-test shooting something (like a tree) to see how
much you have to compensate for wind and drop.


Refillable water:
-----------------
You can refill your water supply at any watering hole. Stand about waist-high in 
any body of water when you run out of water. Choose the Hydration Bladder from 
your inventory. If it reads something like "0 out of 4", choose it. It should 
fill up automatically. 


Recommended area and set for seasoned hunters:
----------------------------------------------
Colorado is a great place to hunt regularly (without HUD, trophy beacon, bullet 
cam, and auto claim). There are no dangerous animals to worry about, and the 
bucks, if you can find them, are huge. The perfect set to use for scouting in 
the summer is: .30-30 lever rifle, static scope, GPS, hydration bladder (x2), 
binoculars, and medium weight orange clothing. For hunting in the fall, use .270 
bolt rifle, Hawkeye scope, hydration bladder (x2), GPS, self heating meal (x3), 
medium weight tent, and medium weight orange clothing.


Flat tires:
-----------
This trick requires a bow and any wheeled vehicle. Drive the vehicle more
than fifty yards from the lodge and get out. Take out your bow and aim at
the tires. You will hear a squeaking noise (this may require a few attempts).
Look at your tire to see the arrow in it. The tire will also appear to be 
flat. 
Note: You can still drive around as the arrows will disappear in less than 
five minutes.


Recommended beginner's set:

Use the following equipment: .30-30 lever rifle, field scope, hydration 
bladder (x2), scent cover, medical kit (x2), map, and medium weight orange
clothing.


X-Ray vision:
-------------
Successfully complete the game. Note: The quickest way to get X-ray vision
is to complete all the hunts.
