Note: Alter game files at your own risk and always make backups. Enter the
game folder and select the config.ini and open it in a text editor.
Find the line that says:
; Set to 1 to activate the debug panel
DebugPanel = 0
Change the number 0 to 1 so that it now looks like this:
; Set to 1 to activate the debug panel
DebugPanel = 1
Save the file and start up Civilization 5, then start a new game and
press ' / ~ (or the key above Tab) and a debug panel will appear on
the right hand side of the screen. You can use this to alter the game
in numerous ways.

To view your achievements and stats in Steam, select "Community", then
"My profile", then "View all my games", then the game and view stats.
