How to Check for Traps Tips:
----------------------------
Written by Resz
You have probably been blown up by a trap or seen someone get blown up
by a trap. Here are a few tips and tricks to help your team achieve a
successful mission.
-=Mirror Gun=-
Now here is the main thing you need:
This gadget can be used to look under doors to check for suspects, civilians,
and most importantly TRAPS!
Just look for a wire. The door is wired to a grenade or flash bang that pulls
the pin when the door swings open.
A good indicator a door has a trap is if its locked.
If you do not have a mirror gun you can also PEEK THE DOOR.
If the door has a trap and you peek the door the explosive will not detonate.
Which exposes the wire and allows you to use your multi tool to cut the wire.
I discourage rushing in this game because its an easy way to sit out for the
rest of the game and spectate.
Thanks for reading! spread the knowledge so you are not down 3 officers within
2 minutes of the start of the mission due to someone bashing in a door and
blowing up.
Exploit Guide:
--------------
Written by Ser Bardiche
Because every video game has silly things you can use for your advantage.
-=Useful Exploits=-
* Kicking a locked door magically unlocks it. Kick, peek, open.
* You can jump down the elevator shaft in port hokan, your legs will take damage
but you wont die, up to 3 times.
* Switching to night vision clears any visual effects of suppression and grenades.
* Alt + S + D goes lower than regular crouch and thus its better for looking
under obstacles.
* Low ready makes you move faster, you can bind it to a key in the options. A
heavy armored guy at low ready moves as fast as an unarmored guy at high ready.
Unarmored + low ready does not make you move faster. Not an exploit so far,
check the next one.
* You can aim and use low ready at the same time with the shield, you will move
fast and still be able to fire.
* Shield protects against stings and flash grenades. You will get the visual
effects, but you wont be dazed.
* Shield also protects you while it is on your back. It might be faster to
bravely run away, instead of equipping it in a tight situation.
* Try combining Alt lean and crouch in front of a mirror. For example Alt + W +
Ctrl makes others see you as if you are crouched, but your eyes stay high as
if you were standing. You could fire over an obstacle, and cant be hit back.
Similarly Alt + S + Ctrl crouches twice.
* Some weapons are not as short as they seem. You can measure the lengths in a
doorframe, look ahead parallel to the ground against a door. Check at what
degree you can fully extend while aiming. Muzzle attachments does not affect
the length as of yet. SLR47 Looks short, but it isnt.
* Two shortest assault rifles: G36 and ARN18.
-=Exploits Just for Giggles
* Switching weapons and spamming left click allows you to shoot in the lobby.
Works with grenades and pistols.
* In the lobby, going downstairs (where you can fire), aiming your pistol with
your shield, allows you to shoot anywhere in the lobby until you let go.
* Quick reloading (Double tap R) with a g36 yeets the magazine quite far away.
-=Other Hidden Stuff
* Dont forget to report trafficked and starved lady in the container in port
hokan(Raid), you can complete the mission without reporting her. My stomach
turns knowing that such things happen in reality.
* If you have trouble finding the last couple of civilians, yell for compliance.
Civilians yell back for help. Or just shoot one and fail the objective, thats
faster.
* In the lobby, drinking coffee more than 3 times makes you move exceptionally fast.
* In the lobby, there is a police officer cap downstairs.
Guide for New Players:
----------------------
Written by Chonkems
A guide to help you learn the game.
-=What are the best weapons to begin with?=-
* This depends, though the most robust rifles are, in my opinion, the MK18,
SA58, and the ARWC.
* The most useful shotgun is, by far, the B1301, from my experience (Fun fact:
the 1301 has only appeared in Ready or Not and “The Tomorrow War” in media
thus far.).
* The SMGs are all pretty similar, so any will do.
* The LTL are more of a preference.
* For sidearms, any will do, but for immersion, I recommend the G19 or the P92X.
-=What equipment should you use?=-
* For your earliest runs, use Heavy Armor and the Ballistic Mandible, these will
increase survivability.
* Flashbangs and stingers are useful, but both can injure or kill suspects and
civilians.
* Door Wedges can be used to prevent enemies from outflanking your position.
* CS Gas requires the usage of the CBRN mask.
* Entry tools should be decided amongst your team or split with your AI teammates.
-=Factions=-
This will give you a rundown of the factions found in different missions.
-=Bolton Security=-
High pay, high risk, high stupidity.
These suspects are reckless and seem to believe themselves to be untouchable, often
seen standing in the open or in rooms with plenty of vantage points, they are easy
to eliminate.
-=Mindjot=-
Stormtroopers on coke.
These suspects are organized, well armed, and fast, they will outflank you where
possible, and often seem to set ambushes in the cramped halls of Mindjot’s Data
Center.
-=UID Human Traffickers=-
Unorganized Russians.
These suspects are rather easy to deal with, but can blend in with civilians,
often only distinguishable by their balaclava.
-=The LLDP=-
One of Los Suenos’ many gangs.
Semi-organized. Many are found Dead On Arrival, but those that are alive are
fierce and dedicated, often refusing to surrender without taking a few rounds
or some gas.
-=The Left Behind=-
Veterans, crazy veterans.
Well-organized, dangerous, well armed. These suspects are easy to identify by
their distinctive, semi-militaristic appearance.
-=The Cult=-
Fanatical. Well Armed. Crazy.
These unimplimented suspects wear distinctive golden “tree” masks and are well
armed. They are fanatical and will likely refuse to surrender, preferring death.
-=The MLO=-
01101001 01110100 00100000 01100010 01101100 01101111 01101111 01101101 01110011
-=The Hand=-
A terrorist organization, with ties to groups in Yemen.
These suspects are equipped well, wielding military-grade gear and heavy armor.
They certainly make a statement with their distinctive masks. Also the massacres.
-=The Rebels Rejects=-
Biker gang. Macho men.
These suspects are often seen in engagement with the LLDP, as seen on Wenderley
Hills Hotel, where many suspects on both sides are DOA or wounded. They wield
similar weaponry to the LLDP, with a similar lack of body armor.
-=The Crackheads=-
Do you like the way your skin feels on your body?
These suspects are erratic, and often hide to set ambushes within the halls of
213 Park Homes. Their addictions make them shuffle and speak often, making it easy
to distinguish their locations. Their armaments vary heavily.
-=Gerard & Accomplice=-
That guy has his ???? out.
These suspects are the main focus of A Lethal Obsession, in which they are
manufacturing Ricin. Gerard wears a homemade ghillie suit and wields high-powered
weaponry, proving an extreme threat. His accomplice is easier to distinguish,
wearing a gas mask and wielding standard weaponry.
-=Conclusion=-
The world of Ready or Not is varied, and experiencing a recession. Los Suenos has
become a haven for crime of all kinds. It’s time to get to work. Keep your feet
on the ground.
Tips to Give Officers a Break:
------------------------------
* Open your phone (hold tab by default).
* Then go to the roster and switch them out for other people you have available.
* If their stress level is in the orange/yellow level (anxious/stressed) they
just need a couple missions as inactive squad members and they’ll get better.
* If their stress level is in red (crisis) you can click on their profile and
click Send To Therapist (This will take them out of commission for a few
missions but it’ll fix them).
Disarming Traps Tips:
---------------------
* You could try using free lean, that might help get a better angle. Otherwise
just crouching next to the opening in the door I’d be peeking was fine, had to
get close to it though of course.
* One tip is if you have a breaching shotgun on hand, you can get far away from
the door and shoot it to trigger the trap from a safe distance rather than
getting up close to fiddle with it
* Of course its quicker and safer at a distance but I understand if you wouldn’t
wish to trade off your mirror gun, or alert everyone of your location with the
racket it’ll make.
* But for disarming i don’t have trouble so much as I know I have to get suuuper
close to the wire and i’m always afraid i’ll push the door open more on accident
to trigger it.
