To use cheats press [Ctrl]-[Shift]-[Alt]-C. This will bring up the cheat
window for you to type in the following codes:

I AM WEAK                - makes the following free: buildings, 
                           utilities, zoning, transportation, 
                           planting trees, and creating surface water 
CALL COUSIN VINNIE       - a new petitioner item will appear in the 
                           Meet window, announcing a "local 
                           fundraising event"; this guy will 
                           offer you some cash, no questions asked 
ZYXWVU                   - use the above cheat, but refuse the offer 
                           of cash; then type ZYXWVU, and the SimCity 
                           Castle will appear in your Rewards menu; 
                           in addition to looking cool, the castle 
                           boosts land value, aura, and more 
GARBAGE IN, GARBAGE OUT  - makes all garbage buildings available, no 
                           matter what year 
POWER TO THE MASSES      - makes all power buildings available, no 
                           matter what year 
WATER IN THE DESERT      - makes all water buildings available, no 
                           matter what year 
NERDZ ROOL               - industry becomes high tech, no matter what year 
PAY TRIBUTE TO YOUR KING - receive most awards 
SALT ON                  - changes the sea to salt water 
SALT OFF                 - changes the sea to fresh water 
TERRAIN ONE UP           - raises the terrain by one 
TERRAIN ONE DOWN         - lowers the terrain by one 
TERRAIN TEN UP           - raises the terrain by ten 
TERRAIN TEN DOWN         - lowers the terrain by ten 

You can get extra buildings by doing the following while in the game

1. Go to the Power Plant menu (where you buy power plants) and click on the X 
   in the corner to close the menu. 
2. Go to the Rewards menu (where you can choose to place awards) and click on
   the X in the corner to close the menu.
3. Go to the Garbage Management menu (where you buy incinerators and so on) 
   and click on the X in the corner to close the menu.
4. Go to the Landmarks menu. If you successfully activated the cheat, this 
   menu should be incredibly long. If this does not work, then reverse steps 
   2 and 3.

GameTip

--------
Press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [Alt] + c and type in call cousin vinnie look on where
you meet people from in the city and say yes or no. if you say yes he will give
you a heafty sum of cash BUT if you say no he will give you a secret code write
it down but if you didn't here it is zywvu type this code into the diolog box by 
pressing  [Ctrl] + [shift] + ect ect press return and look on your rewards coloum
you should see simcity castle place it anywere and the value of the land nearby 
will skyrocket personaly i would put it in a dense commersial part of your city 
you will get huge skyscrapers.

All landmark buildings

-----------------------
Open the power plant window, then click on the "X" in the upper right corner of 
the window to close it. Open the rewards and opportunities window, then close it
in the same manner. Open the garbage disposal window, then close it in the same 
manner. Open the landmarks window to find all buildings available. 

SimCity 2000 music

-------------------
Use a text editor to edit the "audio.ini" file in the "/game/res/sound" sub-folder
in the game directory. Locate the "SimCity 2000 Theme" line in the file. Change 
the numbers that follow that entry from "0,0,0,1" to "0,1,0,1". The music from 
SimCity 2000 will now accessible during the game from the preferences screen. 

Import unlimited money

-----------------------
Note: SimCity 2000 is required for this trick. Create a city within SimCity 2000
using the "More money" cheat in that game. After accumulating enough money, save
and exit the game. Start SimCity 3000, click "Load City" and load the recently 
created SimCity 2000 city. You will have the desired terrain with the money.

UFO surprise

-------------
Build a farm in your city, then go to the "Start Disasters" option and cause a 
UFO swarm to appear. Keep the emergency siren running until the attack is over,
then watch what happens. After the UFOs disappear back to space, go back to your
farm. If you are lucky, you will find a surprise that will make you famous.

Hints

------
* Start out slow, making sure never to expand faster than the expected tax revenue
  growth. You're building a city, so slow and steady wins the race. 

* Look to develop neighbor deals early on. Specifically, make sure you have excess
  garbage capacity, then contract to handle another city's garbage. Sure it's smelly,
  but it brings in much-needed income. 

* SimCity 2000 veterans should read the tutorial. There are enough subtle changes 
  that invalidate some old strategies. Also, the garbage dilemma is another new 
  feature that needs to be dealt with early on.

If u r going bankrupt in the new year then just before the new year, --/12/----, 
trun ur taxes to very high(very top taxes) then after the new year, --/01/----, 
lower them to normal. u then a lots of money and no one wants to leave!!!! 
(very good with metropolus cheat, leave running one then clear city and build 
away it's on here some where)

Everything for free

--------------------
To get everything for free including abandoned items, enter the "Powerplants" screen,
then exit by clicking the "X". Then, go to the "Rewards" screen, and exit. Then go 
to "Garbage/Incenerators", and once again exit. Finally, go to the "Landmarks" screen.
It should show everything listed from the game, including rewards, landmarks, farms,
and airports except the things underground. 


SimCastle meanings:
-------------------
The following information is for the SimCastle's information window. Crowns a 
Glistening: How happy your Sims are with your city (lower the better). Heads A Rolling:
 Crime level in your town (lower the better). Knights A Neighing: Flammability in your
town (lower the better). 


Easy money:
-----------
If your city is going broke or to get quick cash, pause game play near the end of the
year. Raise taxes for Resident, Industry, and Commerce as high as possible. Resume 
game play, and you will get a large increase in money at the end of the game. Pause
game play again and lower all the taxes to a suitable level. Resume the game. Mortimer
Green will demand that you lower taxes, but then he will notice that they have been 
decreased and change his comment. Note: Sims may complain that taxes are to horrid 
to pay and they will threaten to move out if changes are not made. If this happens, 
click on the "Meet People" button, then click on Mortimer's picture. He will give 
you brief summaries on the tax levels, (high, low, or average). Follow Mortimer's 
advice if he recommends lowering or raising them. However, you can also listen to 
your friendly Sims.


Baseball stadium lettering:
---------------------------
Inside the baseball stadium the bleachers form symbols reading "SC 3K" which stands
for "Sim City 3000".


Avoid debt:
-----------
Make Residential, Commercial, and Industrial zoning eight squares long and at least
seven squares wide. This way, there will be so much Residential/Industrial/Commercial
zoning that when they develop, they will be able to cover the expense of the road that
you will circle around it with.


Play without installing:
------------------------
You can still play the game without installing it. Insert the disc and go to "My 
Computer". Right click your CD drive and select "Open". Go to the folder "SC3" and
scroll down until you see an executable file "SC3" and open it. Note: The starter 
cities are located in the CD, inside the folder "SC3". 
Real terrains are in "\SC3\Terrains". If you want to save your cities, create a 
folder in your Desktop or in "My Documents", and save your cities in 
"C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Desktop" or "My Documents".


Underground Electric Wires:
--------------------------- 
This cheat code benefits only with the code "i am weak." they are two ways to 
accomplish this task.

1.First zone the tiles with the cheapest zones available. Then plant all of it 
  with electric wires. Now dezone it. Bingo, here you are, under ground electric 
  wires.
2. plant electric wire's on specific tiles. then zone it. Dezone if necessary.

NOTE: It is important that the wires planted should be powered with electricity.


Terrain Editor:
--------------- 
If you want to make a terrain all you have to do is go to some paint program on 
your com. Change pixels to 257 X 257. Change from color mode to grayscale. You 
cannot have any color!! (Only if you are doing a large city.) Now using white as
highest terrain in the city and black as lowest, make an overview picture of a 
terrain. (The lighter the gray the higher the terrain will be when you load it.)
When you are done, save it. Remember the path. 
For example: C:/ProgramFiles/Maxis/Cities.
Go into Simcity and start a new city. When you are selecting the amount of 
Mountains, water, and trees, press SHIFT+CTRL+ALT+C all at the same time. 
When the textbox appears type the path. (Like the example above.)


SimCastle meanings:
-------------------
The following information is for the SimCastle's information window.

Load Greyscale Picture At Terrain:
